It looks great, but not the best.

...

>post case with no source or name
FUCK YOU

My exact case. The airflow is pretty poor, but its a nice aesthetically.

H440, NZXT

>muh black box

But seriously if you're not into LEDs all over the place or care about being able to see your components, non windowed R5 a best. The one with drive bays of course. Otherwise why fucking bother.

It's the NZXT H440 V2.

>My exact case. The airflow is pretty poor, but its a nice aesthetically.

I heard the V2 has improved airflow other than scratchproof matte paint. I'm seriously tempted, make me change my mind.

To be fair, OP probably assumed you were subscribed to HardwareCanucks.

This is a great case, and in fact I'm undecided between this one and the H440. They seem to be pretty much identical in terms of performance and cable management and shit like that, but man I just love how the H440 looks.

Never understood the whole love of the tiny aesthetic about mitx. My server is mitx based and built inside the fractal node 304. An itx case with 6 x 3.5" drive mounts.even with an SFX based PSU, working inside the closed confines of a small case becomes a bother. And this is just with a low power CPU and no dedicated GPU. Why on earth would someone want to jam high power and potentially high heat components into a case where good cooling solutions aren't always viable? I.e. shitty itx video cards?

The H440 looks a bit nicer I'll admit but functionality wise the R5 wins. R5 has way more HDD mounts without taking up too much more room than the 440. R5 also has more dust filters, built in sound dampening all around, and 2 x 5.25" bays.

Having owned the smaller cousin of the 440 (Nzxt s340) I have to say I wasn't all that impressed. Make no mistake, the R5 is quite a plain black box, but it's features are bar none IMO.

I have a 1080 Ftw and a [email protected] in mine. It runs a bit hotter than when it was in an atx case, but not enough to be a concern/thermal throttle. I just wanted something that wasn't fuck huge on my desk.

I like this one.

H440 has a built in fan controller, illuminated motherboard panel, and hides the powersupply for better cable management... I only use 2 hard drives, one 500gb SSD and one 1Tb laptop drive for storage, other than that I have everything on a NAS so I don't even need that many bays.

On the other hand I still use a DVD recorder sometimes and have some stuff on optical media so the R5 would have the advantage there, it also costs 25€ less...

It's so hard to decide, both are excellent cases, fuck. Unfortunately I still use a regular ATX motherboard and I don't want to replace it (still using 3570K and nowdays finding a decent motherboard with something like the Z77 chipset is nearly impossible, besides it still works just fine), otherwise I would have gone with a smaller case.

Im talking more about the insanely small cases. I.e. ncase etc. I've seen smaller itx things like in the cooler Master elite 130, the corsair 250D where yes, they're still small, but you can still fit good components in them.

It's just a niche thing I know but it always just seemed rather like a waste of money to pay a price premium for less space. Not to mention the premium on paying for a motherboard with 1/3 the slots of a full ATX board.

Its an ncase

I have a Blu-ray reader in my computer that I use to rip Blu-ray movies I buy as well as burn Blu-ray backups. 50GB discs are nice. Plus the little door on the front of the case hides the ugly so you won't even see the DVD drive.

R5 also has a built in fan controller. Can control 3 fans, powered off a simple miles connector and has low, med, high settings. I'm powering 3x140mm fans without issue. I barely hear my PC and it's right next to me on the floor.

You got me on the cover for the PSU, but that doesn't bother me. Like I said, plain black box with no windows, so who cares if the PSU is visible? I still did wire Management as I always do, but the point of the case is to have its internals be neither seen nor heard, so who cares?

>Respond seriously to the Nvidia case
How new

R3 owner here ... Rx MASTERRACE!!!

It is fucking perfect.
My only complaint is why they can't make a full tower case that is as good looking as this.

Wow another black refrigerator case. I wonder how the Fractalfags will ever recover someone else copying a black shoebox design.

I always wonder WHY gamers have such terrible taste.

This is a joke, right?
He did this ironically? that looks horrible i i dont think i could play wow on that cramped desk shit keyboard for an hour

It won some competition actually
like "most s1ckest battle station" or something

I posted this on Sup Forums recently and most people didn't think it was odd in any way

Well to each their own. I know for a fact that regardless of how well built the Ncase is, it's not the case for me.
Why the fuck. Did the person just choose the most offensive colored and themed trash available? I mean don't get me wrong that PC liquid cooling and overall components are probably expensive, as is the rest of the setup, but everything just seems so....Trashy.

Can it fly?

Straight truth right here.

Most of Sup Forums is braindead leddit tier retards anyway

Almost went for that, but then I discovered the Dark Base 900

The worst things about it are the top vent is unfiltered and the poor air flow. Also there's a circuit that's connected to the rear LED illumination, which set fire when I removed the built in fan hub.

Aside from that it's a good case.

Define Mini C here, I love the simplicity, might as well not have the blue led on it too, but I can live with it

for me, it's the McChicken

This is.

personal favorite

7/10 if it wouldn't have a window

ITT: Shitty "minimalism" trash

I've been on 4chinz since 2006 faggot come at me bro

I have this
thinking of turning off the status light though, it's way too bright

Just bought this one. Pure sex. Also fuck LEDs.

Just slap a bit of tape on top of it and it'll be a lot dimmer.

love the wallpaper

Looks terrible.
The user mask..... kill yourself.

Sure can't hide the poo fan.

Its obviously made to be as shit as possible. But the fact that he owned all of that shit to begin with means that he was already that bad anyway

R2 XL owner here. Love my case. Puget Systems sells a custom side panel that looks factory for like 40 bucks shipped. I put that on mine and love it. Only improvement to the R2XL I would say is some discreet 2.5 bays for SSD, otherwise I need a whole drive tray. But there's 8 so... Also would like tempered glass side panels desu but that's my only complaint.

I did disconnect my power LED though.

Love love love my R2 XL, bought in 2011 and its still serving me perfectly well.

I like the aesthetics, but it costs twice as much as other cases with same features.

Why does nobody make green cases anymore? I'd love to have one.

>Not getting the newer Define C

I love my good old Tuniq3 (Only when feet lights are switched off)

>tfw no tactical bone handle ergonomic knife in your battlestation

>answering anything other than ncase m1
>answering anything other than one of the fractal design cases

wrong by default

Define S here. Fucking thing is sexy as fuck and the SSD's and HDD's are in the back, out of sight

>PIkachu dressed as Sableye figurine
for what purpose

shut up weeb

>not believing in air flow

try this

>purple gaymur LEDs

beautiful case,
too bad it's 200 burger dollars.

I dig this guys design.

Separated ITX GPU compartment, single 140mm slim fan for airflow over the ITX motherboard.

Damn that does look good.
Still rocking an R4 over here.

they don't come with the case lol

cougar qbx is a slightly larger case with essentially the same internal layout for a quarter of the price. made out of plastic though

...

Never change fags. Always with this american psycho wannabe crap. And then I see your room in battlestation generals where you put these black monoliths and useless tiny keyboards on your ikea desks filled with fucking anime figurines.

You're not grown up. You're not mature. You are fedoralords minus the fedora. You borrow what you interpret as symbols of adulthood and maturity but it's a paper thin facade. Just tiny kids growing up in a big world and trying their best not to flinch.

Relax you little fucks.

Is this a new pasta?

Micro ATX or Mini ITX are the only way to go in 2017. Mid/Full tower are obsolete. This one is my favorite of the models actually available for purchase at a reasonable price today.

...

What makes you think they have bad air flow? You can have two intake fans on the bottom which is should be more than enough for the GPU. Then for the CPU/mobo you can have an intake in the first slot with the tower covering up the second fan slot, then a exhaust fan in the back with plenty of passive exhaust along the side and top.

I have the define C also. Just got it and some noctua fans + cooler + low noise adapters and holy shit. I can't hear shit

Halo is no longer popular on the PC.

All decent cases look virtually identical from more than a couple of feet away, and the only person who cares what they look like up close is you and maybe a few teenagers on the Internet

Every case is either gaudy, tippy, or dull. At least the dull ones are moderately tolerable. That one fits the dull category, so there's that at least.

What is the point of that webm?

>CPU cooler blows directly into the bottom of the PSU with just a 1mm gap
>GPU compartment isn't actually separated from rest of the case

it's shit

Problem is, there are only maybe 40 or 50 models of decent current cases being made, out of thousands.

Then when you get down to cases that aren't ridiculously huge, but still have the space and airflow for the components you want, you're down to maybe 4-6 cases.

Compared to what? Have you looked at cooling in gaming laptops recently?

Watch who was taking the shot in the beginning and on which hoop

...

>comparing it to a laptop

Fuck off with your apple to oranges comparison. There are plenty of other SFF desktop cases with superior cooling many of which are smaller. I'll restate what I said early, it's shit.

i'd probably the best mid-tower currently. I wouldn't fall for the "full glass side-panel" meme, since 99% of the cases that use them look like hot trash.

Oh look, another idiot on Sup Forums.

What's the GPU blowing on again you fucking faggot?

Oh no! Dan A4 looks gargatuan!

Plenty of cooling for an NH-L9 with out overclocking.

Cute. Cute!

...

black box is fine if you have strict study like room(I do)
main feature of this thing for me is removable hdd trays

thats actually a really nice case, i love the shape of it
considering it for when i finally build a pc

I've noticed nostalgia for 90s ricer cars slowly coming up among the youngsters (genuine FF rice, not stancefaggotry). Do you think ricey computer cases will come back into style once this current trend of minimalist design is over?

>this current trend of minimalist design is over?
well, since it's been in use, with slight pause 18th c, for thousand years I don't think minimalism going anywhere

really itching to get something like this
probably picrelated.

thank you for avatarfagging

might as well go either ITX or RVZ01-E
silverstonetek.com/raven/products/index.php?model=RVZ01-E&area=en&top=C

>tfw unsure if I go with this for maximum airflow and silence or if I bite the RGB bullet and go with NZXT S340 Elite for dat tempered glass window and dank aesthetics.

...

I really don't get why there isn't an ITX case around that compromises a tiny bit of space for better cooling solutions

I don't mean like a full blown define s nano or something, but something without any drive bays, ideal for SFX supplies, but still has enough room for a big cooler or AIO and space for an open air GPU to stay cool, maybe space for an intake and exhaust fan

that's exactly what this is there's enough room for a 240mm aio.
