>A future version of Windows 10 will grant the Professional (a 99 EUR/USD upgrade from Home) and Enterprise editions up to 18 active hours instead of the 12 hours they currently share with Home users. This still leaves 6 hours of the day unaccounted for.
what the hell is this article talking about? I've never been stopped from using windows 10
Easton Sanders
Good goy, stay within the active hours Microsoft has granted you.
Carson Wood
Sometimes I'm not sure if Microsoft is toying with Poe's Law. Are they satirizing themselves?
Cameron Cook
Well I guess it's because I have professional and have delayed updates. I never knew this was a thing. It does seem like Microsoft is trying to make the worst decisions it can with their software.
Connor Harris
As a windows user I actually feel ashamed
Logan Clark
The fuck is this? I've been using w10 since roughly a month after launch and never seen this on my pc before...
Michael Powell
>As a windows user I actually feel ashamed That's what people have been trying to tell you for the last 20 years. It's just more obvious now.
Connor Sullivan
12 hours a day is more than enough to get my computing done, I know you loonix neckbeards need to fap to anime 20 hours a day, but for people who actually have a life this isn't a problem at all. The fact that you losers need more than 12 hours just shows how sad and lonely you virgins are.
Evan Martin
My win10 pro runs for days without rebooting or shit. What is you gnigger on about
Asher Reyes
Let's see that uptime lad.
Thomas Young
wtf? win10 home here.
Ethan Jenkins
>hurr durr idk how to poo in the loo
Michael Diaz
>not even 3 days
Kek are we supposed to be impressed by this?
Gavin Jenkins
like I care if anyone's impressed, I usually turn my PC off every time I go to bed anyways.
Point is, OP's full of shit.
Logan Stewart
I don't think updates will pop up everyday. Microsoft will only release an update when necessary. That being said, there are multiple ways to disable updates/forced restart even on Windows 10 Home. Would still prefer LTSB though.
Why would a long up-time be impressive?
Bentley Parker
...
Owen Flores
>Why would a long up-time be impressive?
Because windows can't do it.
Jacob Sanders
The Apple MacBook Pro with Retina Display doesn't have this problem.
Isaac Peterson
>We are living in a time when an OPERATING SYSTEM tells the USER when it's going to reboot and the USER can do FUCK ALL about it. >Nada, null, zilch, nothing. >And the USERS, especially Sup Forumseniuses, love it!
Henry Johnson
At least Microsoft has acknowledged that Windows isn't made out for Server usage, and makes that decision as obvious as possible.
Aiden Adams
>seriously using windows 10 You people really deserve to be cucked
Hudson Phillips
it's the state of neo-Sup Forums
Aiden Lopez
>brainlet
Wyatt Edwards
what does that mean? does it reboot automatically every 12 hours?
Andrew Morgan
feels good to be a GNU/Linux user
Jason Gonzalez
where can i book tickets ?
Gavin White
what did he mean with this
Anthony Perez
Did you even see what you're replying to?
Brandon Lopez
>He thinks 130 days is a long uptime
Cameron Green
I don't see the issue.
Lucas Gray
Me neither. Who needs a long uptime?
Bentley Sanchez
Exactly, my wifes boyfriend boots into linux every night anyway.
Christopher Sanders
Ever heard of Stand-by? Oh wait, you're on Win10, better stay within the active hours, lad. >4GiB RAM laff
>gpedit.msc But yeah, leenox is the OS with the million config-files lol.
Grayson Ross
I'm really gonna trust a blog post from 'ctrl.blog', the bastion of truthful and very unfake news
Laughs, indeed, Windows 10 is quite the terrible OS, isn't it?
Joseph Martinez
The thing with the updates is, if you want to disable them you can. It's one google search away, even on Home. However, if you can't disable them even with instructions which most 5 year olds can follow, then Microsoft ks right in forcing you to update. And really, how don't all of you get bored writing about this bullshit, I mean, you don't have to defend your choice of OS on anonymous imageboard. Nobody cares.
Michael Barnes
>if you want to disable them you can. It's one google search away, even on Home. Why are you lying on the internet?
Gavin Lewis
>Nobody cares You do.
Aaron Smith
I care about these threads cluttering up the catalog.
Joshua Martinez
You still do
Josiah Edwards
So what exactly is the probem here?
OP claimed there were active hours on Win10, numerous people posted screenshots showing longer uptime than these active hours.
>???
Brody Hall
maybe its a new feature that isnt active yet?
Anthony Murphy
We're mad those people aren't on GNU/Linux.
Colton Watson
Are you pretending to be retarded? See
Isaac Scott
There are active hours. Updates that require a restart won't be schedules during active hours. That's how it works for an average user.
However there are ways to completely disable forced restarts. Not "tweak some obscure undocumented registry value". Actual proper settings.
Liam Ross
>Implying Sup Forums isn't a home for the retarded.
Dominic Miller
Ten thousand red hot throbbin cowboy cocks just waiting to be sucked.
Eli Richardson
I think you confused this with the xvideos search box.
Cameron Ross
not sure if this thread is the appropriate but i have a question
i installed windows 10 on my mom's laptop, which is an hp g60. it's a bit old but has worked good enough for a mom's standard the think is, i tried to block a;; updates and botnet features of windows 10 but regardless, there were times when the hdd use would go fucking 100% for long periods of time
long story short, the hard drive is dead now, and my mom lost pictures and shit.
can i sue? sure the drive was old, but it wouldn't have died if it wasn't pushed as hard by w10
pic related but not mine. basically what most people have to deal with.
Ayden Cook
bump
plus anyone knows how to save a hard drive?
Mason Carter
pls respond
Daniel Phillips
No you cannot sue. Your chances of loss is 101% Go to data recovery to get back the pictures. No other choice. Also: >posting picture of Windows 8
Jonathan Wilson
>LEAVE MICROSOFT ALONE!!!
Dylan Gray
>M$ actively scanning your disks and uploading their contents to their servers wew lad
Luis Garcia
When security updates end for 7, I'm buying a macbook
Brody Perez
>50KB/s read >8KB/s write >doesn't even show which process is responsible
Gabriel Clark
Not the contents because who needs the actual data when you have the hash of every file? It's the hashes of every private file that is uploaded. Enjoy.
Oliver Garcia
>uploading hashes of file >tfw you share a board with this retard You probably got that from the article about how they compare hashes of images on onedrive with known cp.
Lucas Martinez
Are you literally a 50 year old sperglord stuck in linux? Windows has been incredibly stable since version 2000 for the average joe. Or at least the power user that isn't an average joe that consciously installs virii.
There is only one permanent solution to the telemetry issue in Windows 10:
DON'T USE THE GOD DAMNED OPERATING SYSTEM, PERIOD.
That is all.
Thomas Flores
fuck off commie, there is no software that matters on loonix. let alone I must use it anyway professionally.
Lucas Cooper
Is there so little differentiation between Home and Server that people are actually using Home licenses for server tasks? This is hilarious Now the proprietary shitware is going to restart itself so you're forced to upgrade?
This is what you get for running any type of infa on Winshit
John Reed
>Windows has been incredibly stable kekt, nice bait you got there lad
