Overclocked i3s edition

>Cheaper than Ryzen

Ayy lmao

Not OCed but fuck it.

I put my 970 up for sale for $200 and got a few offers but realized I have no fucking idea what I want to do with that cash.

I now have $500ish to spend. (In Europe though, so more like $350 in the US)

A 4K monitor would sure be nice, and I keep wanting to upgrade my GPU to compensate for the resolution increase but the only games I play are CS:GO and BeamNG.drive - which does, though, stutter a bit at 1080p already.

I'll almost definitely go for a R7-1700 though as I do lots of rendering and encoding, don't really see a point in paying $70+/$150+ for a slightly better binned chip and turbo boost.

Is Ryzen really going to beat that CPU?

I really hope it will as that Xeon is 7 years old now.

How fucked are these temperatures?

Please Ryzen, make an upgrade worth it.

RAM is usually at 1866 MHz but since I am having problems with the mobo (I assume), it's running at 1336 MHz for now.

Waiting for Ryzen.

Pretty damn fucked. I hope that's not idle. Where do you live, a furnace?

I really want to Google plantroics gamecom but I'm afraid what I'll discover.

I have 60~64 on the motherboard idle

And yeah pretty much a furnace

Some really lewd shit.

There's also a Windows 10 Home Botnet partition for vidya, but Sup Forums hates vidya so I won't say anything more.

Plz no kabylake bully, the Ryzen leaks hurt enough.

Plz no Kaby Lake bully, the Ryzen leaks hurt enough already.

I literally just picked those up at Walmart today for $36. I have great headphones, just wanted something so I could listen to music, they're great imo

Really, with the 1080 I don't see a compelling reason to upgrade for a while still.

Upgrade your monitor.

To what however. I'm cool with 60hz because I prefer IPS panels.

I'd like another Dell Ultrasharp but I hear the newer ones aren't that great?

144hz and 1440p or 4k. A 1080 with that monitor is a waste.

I hate Canada.

You're the one with the flashed P6T-SE? I talked to you a few days ago, I too had a SE but with coilwhine years ago..

Right now I'm on 1.gen i7/xeon myself, tho alot weaker than your stuff.
As of now, I could really just stick with this as I pretty much only game and surf, no heavy work and this is more than enough power.
But I'm probably getting Zen too, IF it works good with Win7. Will be hella fun overclocking AMD again!
By the looks of it the IPC seems very good, and with a 8c/16t overclocked to hell its gonna be beastly!

Also, come post your guts in my thread >
