delete this right fucking now

Ryzen is not enthusiast, its just a really badass mainstream CPU. If you think 8-cores don't belong in the mainstream your the problem.

Fpbp
>Intel cuck on suicide watch

this damage control holy shit

fpbp

Only way that could be topped is with trips

DELET

ilold

intel is doing so much damage control it's not even funny

Intel has already started paying sites huh, just like in good ol days.

What shill site is this?

That's not a bribed site, it's a training sheet for literal Intel shills.

Intel gives you 40 PCIe lanes

Rypoo garbage means you can only use 1 GPU and 1 SSD

>Rypoo garbage means you can only use 1 GPU and 1 SSD
>source: my ass

Intel Retail Edge. Training literal shills to promote Intel products at Walmart.

>This wll be the first time AMD has created a 14nm product
Are they actually allowed to straight up lie like that? AMD and GloFo cut their 14nm teeth on the 480.

I guess old "fines are just bribes on the record" Intel is back

OC

LMAO HOLY FUCK INTELFAGS ON SUICIDE WATCH

Thank goodness I saw this post. I was lost on what to do, I have been a loyal Intel customer for ages, but I don't see why I should go with one or the other. This post made it very clear which way I should lean.

Hahahaha holy shit this is glorious, they're not even trying to hide it

Don't worry goy, Intel is better. Just remember the clock speeds. 4.0 is NOT 4.5. Why does this matter? Simple, the 7700k can overclock to 5 GHZ. With a further distance to go, I doubt AMD can clock that much.

My main system uses unraid and passes GPU's through VMs for gamez and actual computing. I saturate 38 lanes. I'll build a ryzen system for gaming but REEEEEE I wanted to replace my main system

I don't know if you're retarded of if it's the latest meme but stop mixing up your and you're.
Captcha: venerable hen

>latest
found the newfag

Yes, on their 1000$+ 6900k and 6950X.

More like two GPUs (in SLI) and one M.2 (full spec)
Meanwhile, my E5-2687W has 40 lanes connecting a dual-port 10Gbit fiber NIC, a Nvidia Quadro card, an HBA card, two PCIe SSDs, and a quad-port Gigabit NIC.

amd has had 5ghz 8cores since 2013...

So you're saying all that uses 40GB/s of bandwidth?

k

>my enterprise CPU

Stopped reading there. Ryzen is a consumer product. There's gonna be Naples for Xeons.

>dual-port NICs uses about 6GB/s bandwidth due to overhead and TCP offloading
>Quadro uses something like 16-24GB/s
>HBA card uses about 2GB/s if all SAS drives are being accessed
>PCIe SSDs use about 1.5GB/s each
>Quad-port NIC uses maybe 400MB/s when fully saturated
Close enough to that 40GB/s limit
It's an eight-core Sandy Bridge-E that you can buy for $300.

Wow I would l love to see the sources on those claims user-kun.

IPC wasn't as good in 2013. Now that it caught up, it is horrible.

this just gave me more keks than every ylyl thread ever

>It's an eight-core Sandy Bridge-E that you can buy for $300.

And what goes against AMD offering a competitive enterprise product at similar price points once Naples is out?

Your average end-user doesn't need 40 Lanes. Many don't even need 24.

>Now that it caught up, it is horrible.
What did you mean by this?

Yawn. Compare it to the 7700k.

YAMERO, GOY! YAMEROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

...

Intel's enthusiast lineup was forked from their server lineup, where 40 lanes actually have purpose because of the crap-ton of connectivity you need.
I mean, what do you really need more for? 2x8 is all that's needed for SLI/CF (more than two cards is a meme), and then you still have 8 lanes for m.2 and such. Most X99 owners go for the 28-lane chip anyway.

>has 8 cores
>isn't an 8 core processor
How dumb are you?

if you say so...

6900k eats 7700k alive in terms of raw compute power you dumb shitstain. What would be the point in comparing even slower CPU?

Show me single thread 7700k.

yes the 9590 (aka oc 8350) it has 8 physical cores
it just cant fully utilize more than 4 at the same time because of the shared L2 and fpu which makes it perform more like a 4c/8t

...

Intel wins! AMD BTFO! This chart proves it!

OP sounds like an intel shill

Fucking nobody uses more than 16 pcie lanes.
Anyone who says they do is lying

>c-compare it to something else y-yawn

>n-now compare it differently maybe it will fit my narrative

Fucking kekd

What can be done about a product that doesn't fit your needs?

>protip: you don't have to fucking buy it you cocksniffing troglodyte

I use exactly 24 so it works for me

Please explain to me how am I supposed to use a streaming card, a network card, 2 GPUs in SLI, 2 M.2 devices, and a sound card. Or is that not consumer enough for you?

My GPU alone uses 16 PCIe lanes, what about the rest of my PCIe cards?

Sounds like you need a 2P motherboard.

>2 GPUs in SLI
what is the difference between x8 sli and x16? how does the performance change?

>Intel never discriminates. it provides a processor to fit any need
only if that need happens to be more than 4 cores, you need to shell out 1000 bucks

>b-but... muh PCI-E lanes!!1

is this the strongest argument Intel shills can come up with?
Like, shit goy, I'd understand if Ryzen had only 16 lanes, but 24 is enough for a single 16x or dual 8x for GPU and 8x for storage, which is plenty.

>inb4 using 8x for GPU
it makes literally no difference, especially with PCI-E 3.0.

>4.2GHz vs 3.5GHz

>i7-7700K turbo: 4.5GHz
>R7 1800X turbo: 4.0GHz

AMD BTFO AS ALWAYS

dude, I'm on the same page with you. this single core shit is irrelevant with overclock.

Price

So? EVERY i7 7700k can oc to 4.8ghz what shitty r7 1800x ryzen can? oc to 5.0ghz but with Liquid fucking nitrogen, you would be lucky if you could oc more than 4.4ghz. What a pathetic trash from amd once again.

Also

>$500 amd cpu can't even beat $339 intel cpu

>m2
That's x4

>2 gpu
More than fine with 2* x8

Neither streaming/network needs more than x1

You just don't need to care at all if you have 3.0 (neither if 2.0) - Look up for any PCI (x4, x8, x16) GPU benchmark. Virtually no difference.

>>$500 amd cpu can't even beat $339 intel cpu
what? it wipes the floor with it.

>i7 7700k = $339
>amd r7 1800x = $500

Amd goes into fucking dumpster as always. It's so pathetic holy shit i hope amd will go bankrupt after inevitable failure of vega.

well a sound card is pretty useless, you can output S/PDIF on pretty much any consumer board nowadays

All overclock records are set with the lowest cores possible.
If you disable 4 cores and sell it as 4c/8t, it will easily surpass a consumer i7 in performance.

>in synthetic "cherry picked" benchmarks

aka fuck off, non-oced and especially oced i7 7700k literally rapes any amd cpus in GAMES which matters for 90% of people buying cpus

>Virtually no difference
thanks for confirmation. 24 lanes is more than enough then.

Remember people, 7700k could OC past 7.0 GHZ on liquid nitrogen. What does that tell you about AMD?

0/10 very low effort bait

>aka fuck off, non-oced and especially oced i7 7700k literally rapes any amd cpus in GAMES which matters for 90% of people buying cpus
source to back your claim?

Do you even know what 16x/8x mean?
You spastic fat neet mongoloid.

>why use a sound card that takes up no additional space when you can buy some external hardware to accomplish the same thing?

Of course I do, you fucking twat.

He was pointing out Intel's training page for literal Intel shills, you're probably one of them.

For 1000 bones you'll probably be able to get a really good operton with even more pcie lanes

Let's just hope they're not locked

Because PCI sound cards are retarded. you're gonna need an external unit (Amp/DAC) anyways if you aren't using cheapo pc speakers.

Even if you are using cheapo pc speakers you can just connect to the integrated sound card and notice no difference.

Why do you need a PCI sound card? If you care about sound quality, you're gonna get a DAC and Amp and use a digital output co connect to them.

Moarz coarz makes overclocking moar difficult fgt....

Surround sound. Not all motherboards have it.

you confused the posters. I was the one asking for source that 7700k destroying ryzen in every game.

You are an idiot and intel banks on your ignorance you fucking fat neet piece of shit.
>pugetsystems.com/labs/articles/Impact-of-PCI-E-Speed-on-Gaming-Performance-518/

>implying Intel's ever gotten my money
Nice projections, by the way. I'm an underweight individual with a job who is anything but a piece of shit.

If your computer has a S/PDIF out, it can do surround sound with an amplifier. What mobo nowadays doesn't have a digital sound out? Sub $100 boards? If it really is that, okay a card with a digital out makes sense. But if you're running SLI, a streaming card, a network card, and 2 M.2 devices, along with a mobo compatible with the 40 lane CPUs, I'm gonna go ahead and guess your mobo has S/PDIF out along with plenty of features.

>If your computer has a S/PDIF out, it can do surround sound with an amplifier
Which brings us back to

5? you really suck at maths.. the stated a cinebench score(assuming we saw the same video that its now deleted ) of 2449 on 5.1ghz..

now assuming that amd is part of a scifi program that will leave us with a core eff of 163% which is impossible with our current technology to even go up to 101%....

what we saw is the stock score of the 1700x which was 1537..

we also know that cinebench scales linear with a mumbo jumbo math you end up 5.5xx something

2449/1537*3.4=5.4 5.5 on all cores..now compare this with the 5.2 6900k record on all cores and you will get a nice suprise..

also compare this with the 6900k and the rest of the big intel chips and you will see that the intel cores are seriously underperfoming

Please spoonfeed me on how to use a DAC/AMP. I seriously have no idea what I am supposed to do with them.

YOU NEED AN AMPLIFIER TO RUN A SURROUND SOUND SYSTEM. A SOUND CARD IS NOT AN AMPLIFIER. A SOUND CARD WILL NOT POWER 5 SPEAKERS AND A SUBWOOFER. THE EXTERNAL UNIT IS NOT OPTIONAL IN ANY SETUP.

connect DAC to PC via USB
connect amp to DAC via cinch or whatever
connect your speakers/headphones to amp

THEN WHY ARE THERE SOUND CARDS WITH OUTPUTS FOR 5.1 SURROUND SOUND? I HIGHLY DOUBT YOU NEED TO PURCHASE AN AMPLIFIER FOR EACH INDIVIDUAL SPEAKER

What if you are using wireless headphones?

The point stands still you frail tiny wage cuck fagot.

You dont even need 16x for a gpu.

then you have a DAC and an amp already built in your headphones

Intel gives you 16 PCIe lanes on LGA 15xx CPU and 24 lanes on Z270 chipset

Still more than AYYMD HOUSEFIRES Rypoo

>uses not having a job as an insult
>makes fun of me for having a job
Jesus Christ user, seek help

Aren't there wireless headphones, not headsets, where it uses your sound card instead of the internal sound card? Or have I been misinformed? If so, is the DAC/amp already built in?

If they're wireless they have a DAC and amp. Period.

>compare it with this model, it has higher numbers in its name!!
>it can't lose but if it does get close to losing, then let's compare it in another way which makes it seem better

kindly fuck off this thread and do some reading on basic stuff. or maybe post here
