bf4 is pretty good once they fixed the netcode. it's a more fleshed out bf3 and it feels like what bf3 was supposed to be.

I like the whole desert warfare thing in Afirca in the middleeast, that's actually pretty cool. But why put a black person on the main cover? He clearly isn't going to be the main character, if he was that would be fine. I'd like the play as an Armenian rebel against the Ottoman empire and watch my family get genocided, or a japanese war ship against a german one, or have a sympathetic view of the germans since they really weren't the "bad guys", nor was anyone except really (debateable) the ottoman empire. That's the only exception. Instead I feel like they're going to push the "le black people did everything and whitey stole it" meme or just use race to sell more copies. Well in the trailer, someone noticed that one of the soldiers bears a patch resembling the 2nd Australian Tunnelling company who're responsible for building heaps of tunnels and trenches as well as engineering, I think this holds a bit of importance as no one just randomly adds Australians to a WW game as we're irrelevant as fuck and 99% of the time just bunched in with "British" forces.

I don't mind the negro on the cover, the game is gonna be published by fucking EA, there's no chance for it to be good anyway and I don't see why anyone would be triggered by another abortion of a game from the worst publisher in all of vidya.

You realize the agenda is to tap into the US market, right? The American demographic, on average, doesn't give a shit about WW1. Like everyone in this thread says, we didn't really do shit in WW1. EA knows the European market will have much stronger feelings about a WW1 and buy the game anyway. The game and content has just been announced so for all we know, the Hellfighters design and merch is just for the US market and the UK and German markets might give similar merch packs and alternate cover designs to go along with the Lawrence of Arabia and Red Baron DLC content that is also being released with the Hellfighters.
