Who would've thought
That's fog of war
post your

It is obvious that they are using some proprietary novidia bs. Do some research next time.

wow civ vi sucks. civ v 4ever
Use a real graphics driver next time
I've been playing the Civ V Linux variant on Steam for quite awhile now with zero issues, shame it's now Windows only and only DirectX 11 cards.
My wife can play it on her shitty but slightly newer laptop. I can't play it on my slightly older but more powerful laptop.
I wasn't hoping to get any support anyways.
It's an Intel Haswell with Mesa 17 on Arch Linux.
I've just installed nVidia's propietary driver on a GeForce 520, so it's senseless to post glxinfo | grep OpenGL.
Thank you, as expected, it segfaults in my Fermi when loading the game.
So igpu werks?
Back to Intel land.

When you run a game and close it, you get those pretty looking graphics. As long as it's your first instance, it'll run as in the picture.
Play in strategic mode unless you're a casual
I don't get it, what does Intel have to do with any of this? Civ6 runs on my 7500U just "fine" with integrated graphics
How is civ 6 vs 5?
Been playing a shitload of civ 5 for the first time
Look at the UI. It's the one buggy. 2D mode does not help there.
I always play in strategic mode tho.
Just use Windows or macOS.
try updating your mesa stack, there's been a lot of improvements recently.
Don't worry, you have the source. You should be able to fix the problem yourself!!!
Only Nvidia is supported although it works for me with an AMD Radeon R9 380, Mesa 17, Linux 4.10 on Debian sid.
I've seen your bug in about 1 out of 10 sessions. Just restart the game and it will be fine.
