>he bought a processor in the past ten years
Name 1 (one) good reason why anybody needs more than a Core 2 Quad.
He bought a prebuilt 90% noname component 1080 founders edition i5 kaby lake GAMING PC
Video encoding: electricity cost per performance. Rendering farms, etc. Could benefit from many core low wattage xeons or something.
I'm still using an i5 750 from 2009 with 4 GB of ddr3 cl 6 1600mhz ram and a gtx 460. Costed me about 500 USD for the entire system.
I like these threads
>early adopt skylake
>get a z170 board before any are realyl reviewed
>get stuck with a shit board
Never early adopting a chipset ever again
>buying a first revision of anything
glad you've learned
I have a friend who replaced his 6700k with a 7700k eight days ago
got 4690k in december 2015, not regretting anything
I plan on buying one in a few weeks. No regrets. Single core performance is all I truthfully I care about, I use a lot of legacy software. Probably going to buy a Xeon or Skylake-X when they come out too for a rendering machine :D
cute
>Faster than Rypoo
>Has HEVC Main10 & VP9 10bit hardware decoding & HEVC Main10 hardware encoding
>They fell for the Rypoo meme
>not disabling the CPU in the BIOS
Enjoy your botnet
Better. I bought Skylake. Fuck you and your Windows 10 botnet CPUs. Both Indian and Jewish shills trying to fuck me over.
Water-cooled core 2 quad here
You could return it in some euro states.

I'd have bought an R5 if they were releasing in early March like I was told they would
