What are you talking about? GNU/Linux has several fully libre games!

there's only one game worth playing
Minesweeper

Allow me to correct the OP.

Is Linux getting GOOD games yet?

there are about 3000 Linux games on Steam I think

>muh gayms
Just install windows you teenage waste of carbon.

Can Linux run Virtual Deep Sea Fishing 2, a Korean fishing game from the early 2000s?

>play one game of minesweeper
>completely understand its mechanics and ruleset
>move on because there is nothing left to learn

Valve officially released Steam for Linux on February 14, 2013. As of November 2016 the number of Linux-compatible games on Steam exceeds 2,000.[69] With the launch of SteamOS, a distribution of Linux made by Valve intended to be used for HTPC gaming, that number is quickly growing. Listed below are some notable games available on Steam for Linux:

>DOTA 2
The only gaymes that we need

Beside steayym
>KVM

>playing games
What are you? 12?

>algorithms
>luck

you're an idiot

Who gives a fuck ? if you want to play game go on Windows you fucking child.

Wait... minesweeper isn't on Linux? Great.. now I need the botnet.

>playing (((games)))
>not running simulators

they're tying to prevent the singularity.

Is that what you tell your mom?

they're trying to prevent you procreating so you can make space for more brown people

yes i got job at Microsoft because I was good at tibia :)

>this is what Sup Forumsedditors believe

what do you do next?
There's a logical next move.

1. terminate the program
2a. do something fun
2b. do something productive
2c. y can't we have both?

emulators

its getting better
Civ 6 Linux finally got released a few weeks ago
Overwatch is looking hopeful through WINE as of recently

utilize the 1-2-1 algorithm that is on the left-most side. There is a 3 that is effectively a 1, a 3 that is a 2, and a 2 that is a 1. Pic related follows

I am not the best of Minesweep players, but would it be the square below the 1 on the extreme right?

About where is Wine compatibility at on Overwatch?

Sigh, that moment when you realize you are a complete retard and can't understand Minesweeper.

Racing teams are companies and they uses simulators like the one in that webm to train drivers and test engineering concepts. I'm sorry you're so blindsided by your own ego you can't see how anyone could make money off selling extremely complicated video games to people with lots of money to spend on extremely complicated training tools.

>implying professional-level driving simulators are mere "entertainment"
It's a skill-building tool. Not a toy you play absentmindedly with an xbox controller.

>tibia
Well there's your problem, Microsoft only hires Indians. Sorry, Brazil.

it's actually running, which says something.

until this point WINE couldn't even create a DX11 instance without the game crashing

Linux gets only modules because Linux is just a kernel.

>a game as a module

makes me think

Yes but they are all closed source, proprietary and require lincucks to use steams walled garden. They may as well just use Windows and admit that FOSS has lost.

>memewatch on gahnoo slash loonix

what an age to live in

Hitman just got released and runs better than its Windows counter part.

Use GOG or kys

Feel free to add suggestions to the list, but there is already enough gameplay between all these games to last a lifetime unless you're a neet who does nothing but play games.

Honestly there's a lot to be said about the performance you can have in Linux while gaming. The biggest issue is drivers and a lack of optimization. AMD has hinted about maybe getting their shit together, and more and more games are getting multiplat.

They aren't held back by all the useless bloat of the OS. I'm optimistic. I shouldn't have to install windows LTSB just to have a working OS

linux can already play Morrowind so that's good enough

>Hitman
>warhammer

May be no DRM but still the games are closed source, Windows style.

Dota has become "reddit the game" at this point

>tfw you are not smart enough for DF

I had to use guides to make a village and it still perished after an hour,

Don't feel bad user, it's a pretty DEEP game.

Yes it's called unactivated Windows 10 in a VM with a dedicated GPU passthrough.

it has dota
and nethack

I have motherfucking pang on mame.

What else would you need?

I'm sure you only need any other game because you suck at pang.

Install windows

>falling for the "reproduce and sacrifice all your money + freetime + happiness for the sake of your child" meme
and anyways, caring about what color your country is is retarded shit for inbred Sup Forums retards
have kids because you want to have kids, not because you're afraid of """"white genocide""""

tuxracer is one of the greatest games i have ever played, and i've played a lot of games on linux, windows, consoles, etc.

wine comes with the windows minesweeper (or an extremely accurate clone)

so, no replies?

yeah, i fucking thought so, you fucking scrub. I'm sure you only use the rope cause you can't line a shot for shit, LOL

Pic related, is OP stuffing balls in his mouth.

>gaming
Sup Forums is 18+.

Yes! They've had Nethack for decades.

Extra, extra! new images of OP eating shit.
Brought to you by wikileaks

Pang is all ages

Most games will start being Linux compatible as everyone switches to vulkan.

Wine 2.1 can finally run some dx11 games.
We're reaching an accelerative point where microsoft won't be able to lock Linux out of their functionality.
Not even dx12 will save them.

I think you can play any Windows game on Linux, with the proper hardware for virtualization.

youtube.com/watch?v=17qxEpn4EGs

gaming has more manchildren than literalchildren nowadays, user

See this, OP? That's Australia.

Only pros get this far, you'll never reach it, scrub.

you can play any DOS game you want

Dota
CS:GO although it's kinda wonky last time I played
I actually prefer Rocket League on Linux since it's easier for me to connect my PS3 controller

>Sudo apt-get(/yum) install wine
fixed

>44% female
All trannies.

you are honestly brain dead if you think everything needs to be open source. video games are ridiculously expensive and time consuming to make. people don't spend years of their lives making games just for fun. "whew i just spent five years of my life working 12 hours a day on this indie game, i'm gonna make it open source so i make zero profit and ensure that i gave away years of my life for nothing."

...

i don't think i've ever seen a depiction of the linux penguin that didn't look like it was done by a 40-year-old man with aspergers

what happens when you exclude social timewaster "games" on facebook?

>SuperTuxKart

TOP FUCKING KEK

Just follow a guide, user
Once you learn all the basics the game is pretty easy honestly

^^

hell yea, mario kart on PC

Open morrowinf

You can play on dolphin emulator which means you could be playing your favourite Nintendo games on Linux!

Urban Terror is pretty comfy senpai

>pillars of eternity
>tyranny
>civ vi
>master of orion

It's an ASSFAGGOTS it was always "reddit the game"

>Is Linux getting games yet?
If by games you mean anything other than Valve and indie games then no.
Very few AAA make it to GNU/Linux and the performance is worse.

No, those faggots at Feral only port shitty consolized copy paste """open world""" games, like mad max and all that other press F for next cutscene shite.

Just get into emulation. I did, feels good to be free from Microshit.

I fuckin want this

>Very few AAA make it to GNU/Linux and the performance is worse.
This, fucking this.
Linux fags won't recognize it but linux support is fucking trash,
>But muh l4d2 benchmark
Only works if you are using a nvidia card with close source drivers and valve games aren't that good.

>Very few AAA make it to GNU/Linux
That's a good thing imo, name 1 AAA game from the past 5 years that was actually worth buying?

>inb4 Doom: Press F to kill enemy edition.
kys if you think that was a good game

Overwatch?

Haven't played it, looks and sounds like a kiddy friendly TF2 clone to me.

if you people want games on linux so much, why don't you go make them?

for fucks sake.

You can play shmups and melty blood using wine amd all other games you can use the vit

It's not worth buying.
