It's not hard to predict what will happen. Erdoğan has gone somewhat rogue and the West doesn't like this, so they'll secretly orchestrate another military coup because that's all Turkey does, and as a result that country will go back a decade or so economically.
On the other hand, the fact that Turkey is pretty much the only NATO country with balls apart from the USA might prevent that. I'm sure America doesn't really care about Europe all that much and they know that a strong Turkey is pretty damn important.
