Analysts all over Europe is talking about the next Euro-Russian conflict being between Russia and one or more of the Baltic states. Nato is already moving units into the area and Russia initiates snap drills close to the borders whenever they feel like it.
Why does Russia "need" these states? Apart from them being a part of USSR.
