Capitalism is a shitty system that's stiffling progress and detrimental to human dignity. I think it's going to destroy democracy and we'll get authoritarian unrestricted capitalism like in China.

With that being said, alternatives to capitalism tried in the 20th century were even worse. Russian imperialist system that we got here was a disaster, even though it had some positives.

About communism - life quality has risen dramatically, as well as education and healthcare quality and affordability, social stability was great, social lifts worked, unemployment was 0%, ethnic tensions were minimal, religion was opressed, we was #26 by HDI in 1989 while it were the times of decay of Soviet Union. The only bad features of USSR were censorship and it was difficult to move abroad, but it could be fixed with one decree without ruining the country.
