>anniversary update
you're already cucked

What the fuck is wrong with you people? Why is this something to laugh at? LOLOLOL FUCKIGN UPDATES MAN XD. You SHOULD install updates, for the benefit of your machine and ultimately yourself. You use the Internet everyday, vulnerabilities are discovered everyday and you choose to use the most popular (consumer OS, that is, before I trigger an autist) operating system in the world that is actively being targeted by multiple people. What good does it do to NOT install updates rather than literally be a normie and join in on circlejerking over what is BY DEFINITION A MEME

"*clicks postpone* You'll never catch me alive! xD MWHAHAHAHA"
You might as well post one of these epic image macros

How does it feel to be one of the masses? How does it feel to do what more nefarious characters want you to do? How does it feel to be basic?

Fuck off jude

This is a business computer, bucko.

Click the notification, then click install. Some pajeet in MS flagged this update as it has graphical installer. No big deal.

If I don't want to install an update, I shouldn't be forced to. I accept that there are vulnerabilities, and I accept the consequences should I fall prey to one.

It is not Microsoft's job to tell me how to use my computer and internet connection.

>compromising herd immunity

Updates aren't vaccines. If I don't update my PC, someone else who DID is protected, because the exploit is set to work in a specific way.

That's now how herd immunity works either. Not updating means it's more likely that your computer will be used to transmit the malware to another person who hasn't updated.

Then that person should've updated if they wanted to be protected.

Welcome to a few months ago.

Here's your (you), fag.

Solid counter.

what a good goy

Mine did that by itself, windows update broke at the end of January and no trouble shoot repair or chkdsk or any other fixes have worked. Only thing that will fix it is a full reinstall unfortunately.

Then you should keep it updated, you fuck.

>windows update breaks at the one thing it's supposed to do
Bravo microshit and pajeet

ltsb 2015

>press backspace 28 times
>get past ALL security on a Linux computer
Bravo pure Aryan NEETs.

>Current state of wankblowz

I don't update even if I could.
Zero (0) malware or worms found. The reason you're getting fucked over is all the dodgy porn site you visit wily nilly like a fuckwit thinking your antivirus and updates keep you safe.
They don't. Sure they catch one or two thinks. But anyone with half a brain can prevent those
Get failure with your operating system, learn what's right and what's now. Choose what code is executed. Sand box if needed. It's not fucking hard, and saves more time in the long run that (You) would have spent taking your PC to the store to get a wipe and full reinstall because of your airheadedness to how a computer actually fucking works.

>It is not Microsoft's job to tell me how to use my computer and internet connection.
Stop resisting.

Knew about it for years. Thought it was a feature.

Found the pajeet

Really changed my variables.

you go ahead, i'm uhh, a christian scientist or something, you are clearly meant to be part of the herd

this never worked for me

you mean windows users in general

Are you proud of the fact that you're contributing absolutely nothing of value? I bet you just browse Sup Forums all day posting in stealth desktop threads.

>I shouldn't be forced to
That's the thing, you aren't. You can turn off these automatic updates. I honestly do not agree with the way Microsoft just announces that it's going to restart your computer but you have to realize that they enable these "features" by default for the fucktards who has yet to update their PC for the entire time that they've own it because of the "Windows updates are so annoying" meme. I've had people hit with viruses jokingly mention how they much they try to avoid them because they're so annoying, down to turning off the PC when updates have begun for no reason other than to feel like they're part of some circlejerk. It's a really fucking stupid mentality to have.

> The reason you're getting fucked over is all the dodgy porn site you visit wily nilly like a fuckwit thinking your antivirus and updates keep you safe.
I have no viruses on my Windows machine. I just use it for games and Musicbee to organize my music folder. Windows sucks lmao I'm just triggered by the updates shit talk.

literally how are you this mad on the internet?

I'm not even mad.

Its pointless, really.

Whenever I try to explain something Windows-related, like how to configure updates, disable OneDrive, remove unwanted apps, people on Sup Forums call me Indian or ask how much MS pays me.

90% of Sup Forums is neverending meme ride, no thinking on your own. Its sad.

>90% of Sup Forums is neverending meme ride, no thinking on your own. Its sad.
That's what happens when you think that installing Arch on your machine or buying a 1060 is enough for you to post on Sup Forums

The majority of this board appears to just be crossboarders shitposting for (You)s and spamming ~board culture~.

>time waste: the post
Go outside or something man. Also, one rupee has been deposited on your accound

Says the microshill, nice reverse psychology there pajeet. Try harder next time.

>You SHOULD install updates
Nobody says otherwise you incredibly dense moron.

The point is first of all that windows updates are a joke, takes waaaaaay too fucking long and doesn't tell you what it is they're updating. Second, windows, a Personal Computer Operating System doesn't let you decide when you are ready to give up control over your Personal Computer.

Still not sure if you really don't grasp this very basic idea, or if pajeet. One thing is clear, you're a retard.

>features
taking away control is never under any circumstance a feature, the fact that you're still labeling it as such makes you pajeet/10. 1 rupee has been deposited, keep up the good work citizen.

Are you just baiting or are you proving him right by throwing in pajeet?

>an insult means nothing he said can be true

Great argument pajeet, go cry somewhere else.

>The point is first of all that windows updates are a joke, takes waaaaaay too fucking long and doesn't tell you what it is they're updating.
It does if you know where to look, conveniently located in the same place where it gives you an option to turn them off, kiddo. ;^)

macOS updates have a tendancy to take a while too, that's a moot point. Another thing is that of course it will take long if you let all the updates pile up. It's a self-fulfilling prophecy.

What else am I supposed to label it? Is "attack on my freedom" enough of a buzzword for you? The point is that you can turn it on and off as you please. Microsoft obviously thinks the benefits of that outweighs a couple of neckbeards complaining about it online.

>Sup Forums invades Sup Forums after installing Gentoo
>freedomposts and calls everyone pajeets
Sounds spot on desu

You're too retarded to quote the text you're replying to, which makes things very confusing. And reinforces my belief that I'm dealing with a retard.

>it gives you an option to turn them off
How generous!

>it will take long if you let all the updates pile up
No, it takes a long time period. Update any linux box after a year of neglect and it'll be done within 10 minutes. Update a windows box you updated yesterday, and it's not uncommon to take at least half an hour. We all know this, don't even pretend.

>What else am I supposed to label it?
Taking away a previously available feature. Very simple.

Keep trying pajeet, one of these days you're bound to start making some sense.

>What else am I supposed to label it?
A restriction, because that's what it is. Idiot.

>no thinking on your own
This is hilarious coming from someone who shills windows.

>muh Sup Forums boogeymane

>You're too retarded to quote the text you're replying to, which makes things very confusing. And reinforces my belief that I'm dealing with a retard.
Maybe you're the retard? Because that's just a pointless ad hominem. All you say in your post is that updates take long and you can't turn them off. I don't think that requires breaking up your post into chunks to reply to.

>How generous!
I don't understand. The option is there. There being an option to turn off automatic updates is very different from not having an option at all.

>it takes a long time period ... We all know this, don't even pretend.
I know this, but to get around that you can always tell it to update at 3AM (I think that's the default, actually) or another odd time to avoid waiting on them. That's what I do. It's not ideal, but that's just what you have to live with.

>Taking away a previously available feature.
I don't understand. What feature? The ability to install updates whenever you want? You can still do that.

>A restriction, because that's what it is. Idiot.
Restriction implies that it's forced, it's not.

You just have to accept that Windows just requires some configuration OotB, that's all. I'm not even shilling. I have my gripes about Windows but I'd prefer arguments against it to be based on something other than plain of ignorance of how it operates.

>I don't think that requires breaking up your post into chunks to reply to.
Yet that's exactly what you did, incorrectly. GG.

>I don't understand.
Yes I gathered as much.

>I know this
Good, then stop making silly excuses for it. I don;t care if you want to leave your PC on the whole night just so you can avoid having windows ruin you plans, that's not the point. The point is that their update system sucks balls.

>I don't understand.
I know.

>You just have to accept that Windows just requires some configuration OotB in order to have it not invade your privacy or force unwanted updates on you.
FTFY, and you're correct. And it's a sad thing.

dodged the bullet there user.

>He's too retarded to disable the notification tray icon

>ad hominem
You have no idea what that means, do you?
