Best Tech Trades

Post your best technology trades. I just swapped my FX-8320 for a i5-4590. I think I made out really well.

You sure did! Why don't you go ahead and stick it right into your AM3 motherboard socket?

Silly user, I traded motherboards with it.

you poor soul, good trade tho

I traded $50 in ausdollaridoos for a gtx 680 with 4GB vram almost a couple of years ago.

I SWICTHED FROM A FX-6300 TO A i5-6600, FUCKING IMMENSE PERFORMANCE BOOST

TFW want to upgrade from my i5 4690 but pretty much everything would be a shit deal.

Same, this swapped made arma 3 go from 45 fps on low settings to about 60 fps ultra

But if they wanted to fuck themsleves, BestBuy still sells 950s for 200$

>forgetting every that every intel socket since 1156 is has been dead on release

same performance for less power.

Pretty stupid if you ask me

Should've waited for Ryzen 3

Athlon 5350 to Pentium G4560 for $60
good for living room gaming

Traded $180 for brand new 6700k

>i have an i5 4690 locked
is 4590 better?

the 4590 was before the devil's canyon refresh which just gave a small boost in clock and "better" TIM, The difference between a locked 4590 and locked 4690 is nothing to worry about

bad deal op

What madman thought that would be a good trade with you? Did he look/act weird?

Based, I did the same today.

> I think I made out really well
In single core: yes.
In multicore: no, especially because i5 have a locked multiplier.

Probably someone who edits a kid of videos? Get one of them FX 8 cores to 4.2GHz+ and you've got yourself one hell of a workstation/render pc.
