Working fileshare wesbites?

Do you guys know file share websites that still work?
Some dude asked me to send him a ~5gb file.

It's not illegal, but also not legal, grey area.
Anyhow, I don't want to make it public, nor have myself associated with it.

How do I share this?
> inb4 fbi gon get you
It's nothing THAT bad, but I still don't want to use S3 for example.

mega.nz

Tried. Uploading went fine, but even sharing the link asks me to register.

Since the chink bought it a year ago or so the site really went to shit. ;_;

I also tried "FileDropper".
Started fast, then went to 350% or something and never uploaded.

use a disposable email

wetransfer.com
Use a rar archiver to separate it in three files since wetransfer only supports to 2GB.

Other than that I can come up with is mediafire.

Hmm alright, will try this.

Thank you.
Will try MEGA first cause it's really a regular joe user. But yeah fuck it. If it does not work, I will do this.

Just scp/sftp it to your target computer and stay the fuck away from the cloud...

Ha, yeah if you are the NSA and have some magical "tool" to do that. Otherwise, try explaining such things to a normie.

MEGA registration worked as far as I can tell.

Try SyncThing

1. Install ssh server on the recipicant.
2. Run the daemon.
3. On your computer, type"scp file user@ip:file"
4. Wait for it to transfer.

You can use the hotspot on your phone or an Ethernet cable if you have one.
No internet required.
And since the data is not transferred over the internet, the chance of someone sniffing your data is minimal.

I would reccomend getting an Ethernet cable if you are transferring large files.

Ummm...
Putty?
Sheesh, win/apple cucks!

Anything besides a cable runs across the Internet unless you both connect to the same WiFi AP. At least the scp/sftp solution is private...

All of these require access to the client PC.
You guys think in big.

Think how would you share a file with your mom.
Now, you see the challenge about all this.

MEGA is still """complicated""" but hey, better than nothing.

>he doesn't have an ftp/http server to just upload shit and send direct link

Just buy a VPS for like $12/y and share shit from there lol.

The best ones crashed and burned

Read OP fellas.
If the file was 100% legit, just use S3, B2, or anything similar.

But, it's grey. It's not illegal, but no legal either.
For this scenario let's just assume you don't want your name plastered all over the file.

>for like $12/y
Not OP, but suggestions?

encrypt and zip it in many files, put on dropbox anywhere, digga

kek

What?
DigitalOcean, Vultr (fast), Linode (cheap), Ramnode, Amazon AWS, OVH VPS (cheapest).

> encrypt
> expecting normies to even know how to put in a password
Y'all act like you don't have to provide grandma tech support.

DO is $5/mo min., far from the stated $1/mo

Thanks, bookmarked. Are the ratings all right on this site, or is it mostly bs?

I usually don't pay attention to ratings but do a check what boys on lowendtalk.com have to say.

create a torrent you dumb nigger

just Google "cheap vps" really.
Amazon gives you FREE virtual machine, just have to register one throwaway mail each year iirc.

I mean, fuck yeah son, having a grandma who can torrent must be fucking awesome.
Sadly, most people don't know what's torrent.

Also, torrenting means you share your IP.
You could just S3 it or use a server, does not matter.

Torrents are only good if you have more than 2 or 3 people downloading it you dumbcunt. You ever download a torrent with no seeders? Its slower than you in the First Grade.

Use 7z to split X into multiple parts and spread it across a bunch of these sites.

You're welcome.

Don't you need a credit card even for free tier on Amazon?

Yes you do but nothing needed for digital ocean. I've even signed up multiple times and referred myself to get free credits.

>Some dude asked me to send him a ~5gb file.
use you google drive

...

rsync

Yeah, I did that too for DO, $100 for github student pack was pretty nice. However $5/mo was too much for a static site.

There is no "gray". Gray is not legal and thus illegal. Stop justifying your illegal activities.

Looks nice, but not sure of the reliability, I mean you have to keep "seeding" your file. Like a 1-on-1 torrent. Simplified.

Sorry bud, it's not illegal.
But, also not legal.
Checkmate atheist.

If it's not illegal it's legal.

Set up your own cloud on a vps. I use nextcloud.

send a usb drive through snail mail

I heard megaupload is good
