SSD slow 4KiB reads

>fell for the ssd meme

What's killing my 4KiB reads famlams?

ADATA Ultimate SU800 256GB, Windows 10, daily TRIM

>ADATA
It performs as well as a MX300 in benches

It turns out for actual fast you need nvme

I got jewed

even that's not fantastic

Mx300 is pretty shit, desu

What drive is this?
Even my old 950 Pro does it better

>adata
>It performs as well as a MX300 in benches
My old Intel 530 does better. Samsung 850 kicks the shit out of it.

Basically, you buy cheap SSD, you get cheap performance.

Are your partitions aligned?
If you cloned the drive, then your partitions are most likely fucked and that's killing the performance.
Get As SSD benchmark and see if your drive is fine.
If it's screwed up, then get partition wizard and just click "Align partitions" and you're set.

960 Evo reporting in.

It's a 250GB 950 Pro

Evo... 850? ~500GB

Shitty 128GB no-name sandicks

120gb pny budget ssd

still better then any hdd ive had

...

ADATA has Silicon Motion

MX300 has Marvell

Even then, the flash is rather meh, fellow tribesman

I've always wondered if this is good for 2 750gp 7200rpm in a raid. Any tips? Doesn't seem right the write is faster than the read

that's shit, my 5TB 7200RPM drive is better.

Nice, I didn't ask about your shitty drive.

could you post non-cached results?

You said you were wondering if that was good for RAID.

It's not good for RAID if it's shit compared to a single none RAID HDD.

Nice, again though, I don't care about you're shitty drive. Go find admiration from other jack wagons.

it's like you can't read.

I don't think your response required to show off your drive. Quit trying so hard dude.

yes how dare I have proof to back up my statement that your drive is shit.

"oh hurr hurr my drive is better look"

Sound like a immature fuck if thats your only solution of responding to someone.

>is my RAID array shit?
>yes my single drive is better, your RAID is shit

Wew, keep getting ass blasted if you want I guess.

Again, you prove me right how you can't be a civilized in your responses on helping someone out. Immature point has been proven. Here let me help you out for future reference.

"No, I know single HDDs can score higher. Heres mine for reference, something might be wrong with your setup"

You come to a Taiwanese basket weaving forum and expect civility?
Just fucking end yourself

>It performs as well as a MX300 in benches
obviously not

>coming here to brag about a 5tb hdd making slighty higher score than 2 cheap $20 750gb hdds in a raid

Bruh, when are you going to stop trying so hard. Its one thing to brag if you have something to brag. You just look like an idiot otherwise.

Maybe because I wasn't bragging?

Are you literally retarded or just pretending to try and get more (you)'s?

Quit trying to deny your response didn't make you sound like an arrogant fuck head. You're looking like a complete fucking weeb tool right now resorting to your edgy memes. When will you just stop trying so hard?

kek, keep trying to gas light might work on your bitch but I aint that dumb.

nice

PNY Optima

Seems about right. I believe the last popular 750GB drives were only using 250MB/platter disks (which is why the 640GB Caviar Black was everyone's go-to performance drive at the time since it used 320GB.) So ~100MB/s each is about right.

>You come to a Taiwanese basket weaving forum and expect civility?
>Just fucking end yourself

Thanks Bro. Its fast enough for me with this old gaming laptop, but I had issues with the raid quite a bit and always wanted to make sure it was at normal scores.

How do you like the SU800 op?
I might get one and a 850 EVO instead 2 850 EVOs.

RAID 0 Two Kingston U400's.

get on my level

Samsung 950 Pro.

Looking at the partition alignment, it's at 580608 where are my Intel 750 is as 1024. What's the go?

Behold! I present to you the Samsung 960 Evo 250GB NVMe M.2-2280.

Any issues with overclocking on m.2? When you brick and have to clear cmos.
My raid array but me off overclocking. But with AM4 having m.2 thought I'd ask for future reference.

>What's killing my 4KiB reads famlams?

nothing you retard, compared to official reviews speeds they're worse on a typical desktop and they're the worst on a laptop.

on a laptop you have agressive power management and HIPM&DIPM settings.

in almost all reviews they connect the empty ssd to an i7K board, they disable C-states and shit, and they run the tests with the ssd being almost empty.

also they're already like 50 times improved over a regular hard drive.

also Adata is fucking shit.

>install this shit
>didn't kno it was weeb sht
>HDD magically starts developing errors
fuck you anime cunts

No problemo, amigo!

Fastest 4K read speeds here

What am I doing wrong? (Intel 750 400GB)

OP here found the problem I was running in IDE mode cause there were no default AMD AHCI drivers for Windows 10 Installing drivers now

for better results, run the benchmark 100-400 times.

You will get best results...

Actually I was wrong there are AHCI drivers but my bios was being a faggot and was in IDE mode for some reason

But now I can't get Wangblows 10 to start in AHCI mode it just spits error code Inaccessable Boot Device at me

Tried safe mode + registry tweaks still no luck

My ancient Chinese SSD

28k hours, 13tb writes

I would get another meme SSD but my old ass board has only 1 sata6 port.

The 4k read speed is irrelevant if you use async io. Unfortunately most programmers are niggers and can't into async io.

My old MX100

Two Samsung 850 EVOs vs a WD black

>Fell for the SSD meme
>Try installing a system on a mechanical hard drive again after a while
>Can't handle it

Once you install windows dont chande AHCI to IDE and IDE to AHCI.
Windows doesnt like the change.

Idk how you fucked up user kun... guess to check your drivers, conectors, and drive in that order?

I'm running in IDE mode by accident and Windows throws a fit when I try to force it to load AHCI drivers in safe mode

you'll probably need to reinstall windows DESU

How come my 850 EVO isn't quite as fast as it should be? pic related

SSD's get slower over time and depending on how full they are.

Got this a couple months ago and it's only 1/3 full. Oh well, it seem's fast enough for me anyway
