First for shitty 1€ natos from eBay. How do these hold up to the 10€ ones?
...
...
Can anyone recommend me a black diver with blue on the dial like this one?
I like the color combination.
What is your pick for best watch for a budget of $3500?
only the second hand is blue but it's something
Take your pick.
f91w
What is a reasonable price for one of these? You can get one for 600$ right now, but that 80$ auction price sounds much nicer
but that's a literally who brand...
That's in rather poor condition to be asking $600. I got mine in pretty decent condition for $280. So just keep on the lookout for one in good condition I guess. Maybe try yahoo jp aucitons?
...
Nothing inherently wrong with microbrands m8. At worst obris just sells out too fast and has long stretches of waiting for new batches.
G-shock or f91w
too blue
what's the point of wearing a watch that no one knows, it's like getting a patek when people only know iwc or rolex.
I'm keeping a stern watch on this thread
chrono24.com
If you can find an explorer to match this price it's probably a good buy
Otherwise you have your pick of Oyster Perpetuals, older datejusts and speedies
>i spend my money for the enjoyment of other people
>what's the point of wearing a watch that no one knows
>only caring about brand recognition from normies
(you)
you have very pretty eyes but otherwise you are ugly as fuck
I'm sorry, what were you saying again?
>8 days since being processed at the air terminal.
How many fucking layovers is this flight making?
nevermind, you deserve a watch as handsome as you, got a PO box?
Got this odd watch from my grandmother. I replaced the battery, but it always late.
Worth fixing?
Not unless it really has enough sentimental value for you to want to get it working properly.
some greasy fat customs agent already took it home user
I live with my grandma and don't know the address.
Your timeteller is very handsome, by the way.
>he doesn't know half of the custom office's duty is to judge the taste of each citizen of its nation
CLEARLY you have disappointed your customs officer
is crown and caliber considered gray-market?
Are they trustworthy?
lose anything like warranty wise?
>is crown and caliber considered gray-market?
Yes.
>lose anything like warranty wise?
They have their own warranties. Anything not by an authorized Rolex dealer (literally zero of them are online) doesn't have an official Rolex warranty.
>trustworthy?
I've never used them but they have a strong reputation. And I would certainly trust them over 95% of the fuckheads that are out there.
Only big issue is that they charge retardo prices.
if prices were around the middle of chrono24's listing prices would you consider it an ok buy or try and find it cheaper somewhere?
Never buy a Rolex based on how "cheap" you can find it, ever. Buy the seller, not the watch. And furthermore make sure they have an excellent return policy. Take it to a watchmaker immediately to confirm authenticity.
But yeah Chrono24 is a good indicator to see where prices should reasonably be around, but never just go for lower price options. I would gladly shell out an extra $1000 to Crown and Caliber than I would some ebay or Chrono24 seller with shitty pictures or an unproven, consistent record.
...
>Never buy a Rolex
ftfy
>What is a reasonable price for one of these?
Do you want a """real""" one or a """fake""" one.
I've used quotations because opinion is divided.
Basically there are people that will use genuine NOS parts to build """new""" watches and then sell them for $300-$400.
Then there's the """real""" vintage ones that cost loads.
I wasn't looking at a Rolex, I was looking at a JLC but I'm really window shopping anyway, probably won't be able to get it before it's gone
Mainly I want a second hand with sweeping as smooth as that. SNK803 just isn't good enough...
get a spring drive, it will be even better.
So according to this graph WUS project watches are Haute Horlogerie because they're comissioned and custom made?
Really don't want to pay 5000$ for one...
just buy the 264hz quartz remake
...
I heard the 3 spokes were used to more easily get the lume to adhere to the hand. With one large circle there would be a risk that parts would fall out.
Why not add something about movements to a pasta?
Like watchbase.com
>"Europe"
>"My family"
>"Signet ring"
>"Nato"
>"luxury"
Is it worth having a 3yo snk80x serviced, or just junk it for another?
Get an Accutron II.
Why would you have it serviced after only 3 years?
you forgot
>pure class
>absolutely donkeys
>chuffed to bits
because?
Forgot pic
B O N D

a service would be more expensive than a new watch.
it would probably involve just swapping the movement for a new one anyway.
>is it broken?
>if not, don't service it
service every x years is a meme
>is your engine broken?
>if not, don't change the oil
oil changes are a meme
Okay let's see how smart /wt/ actually is
Name three watches that will definitely increase in value in 5-10 years.
Literally no one can really predict that. Aside from watches that are already very valuable like a comex sub, paul newman daytona or whatever.
For the last time, jewelry isn't an investment
How can you guys afford such nice watches? What do you do for a living?
Any three current smartwatches. The current ones are the pioneers of the market, nostalgia will be a thing in five years.
speedmaster reduced, tudor prince date/day, SKX series
I'll play your shitty game
>So according to this graph WUS project watches are Haute Horlogerie because they're comissioned and custom made?
Yes, yes that's exactly what it's saying. Precisely.
Pic rel8ted
Didn't you get the memo? We have a new chart now
You want to have it serviced after only 3 years because it's dogshit?
30 Daniel Wellingtons
>Vostok not listed as good cheap tool watches
lol and steinhart isn't?
Pelagos.
>>Vostok not listed as good cheap tool watches
They're terribly inaccurate and are a niche product that is hard to get in burgerland from regular shops or online stores.
>Terribly inaccurate
They are also terribly easy to calibrate
>niche product
In what way? They are just watches
>hard to get from regularly think you can find them in regular stores solely in Russia or ex soviet countries, so that's a weak argument, but what's this about online shops I hear? You can buy them from a couple of dedicated sites and from ebay sellers too, so where's the catch?
New SE Amphibia.
That's only 12
You answered your own question, only the most austistic watchfag will be pleased with buying cheap ass slav shit that they have to fix right out of the package.
>not SQUALEEEEEEEEEEEEE
plebs
Lawyeranon is a lawyer, I assume.
Plastic Daytona, original Speedmasters from 1957, and original vintage Heuer Monaco
Faggot
most of us don't, I imagine.
the seikos and other sub-500 watches are more realistic for your average anons
Yeah, buy 30 from these 12 styles. That's what I recommend
>fix right out of the package
I might moving the goal post now, but while they can be late a whole minute in a couple of days, that's nothing too unusal for cheap automatics, not to mention that that's an extreme case, most work just fine. And of course you are not going to get a regulated chronometer for $30. That's why they are good cheap tool watches.
Reminds me of the 710 case.
fucking kek
Anyone can afford (almost) anything. It's all about priorities.
If you don't care about having a nice car or house, and don't spend money on traveling, you can afford a new Rolex on a basic worker's wage.
that sounds accurate. both the speedy reduced and all manners of tudor oysters seem to be incredibly undervalued right now.
Mine was running more than a minute off each day which is flat out unacceptable. But since it took five fucking weeks to show up in the first place I wasn't going to waste time with getting another.
or sooner, yes
What is /wt/ wearing right now? I'll start with my Explorer
That makes no sense, why would you service dogshit?
Wearing my white dial original HMT Sherpa on a Vintage Bond by Geckota strap today.
does it have to make sense?
Seiko Seahorse from 1969
Me too user. The Hello Kitty dial was a little out of my budget, and I felt like I deserve better than a Pizza Hut Air King, so I stuck with the Archie signature edition (Polar!)
SARB.
>speedmaster reduced
Why? It uses an ETA shit
Well I quess that's nice too, if you are a 40 year old man having your mid-life crisis
