>The swap-out comes after S&P Dow Jones Indices on Friday said that Advanced Micro Devices (AMD), whose chips and graphics processors lifted its stock last year, investment firm Raymond James Financial (RJF) and real estate investment trust Alexandria Real Estate Equities (ARE) would be added to the S&P 500 on March 20.
>back in S&P 500 >bankrupt
B-but for real this t-time, it's not life I've been hearing about AMD dying for the last 10 years every day.
Nolan Young
if it was gonna die it would have died back when the stock was under $2. They might have declared bankruptcy.
everything else is a meme

Reminder to report all AMD stock shills
Alexander Sullivan
Can you shut the fuck up about your stupid ass AMD-Intel garbage this is fucking console war levels of shit.
Jeremiah Ortiz
Outlook on AMD is going to change from neutral to buy, and it'll hit $20 no problem. Little kids are too stupid to understand this.
Connor Carter
Reminder that AMD's HEDT platform got obliterated in price and power consumption by a competitor 10 times smaller.
Carson Cooper
AMD shill messed up his line, no stock money for you pajeet

Meanwhile outside of gaming, where clockspeeds reign supreme, perf/watt rules everything from mobile, servers to embedded.
Hudson Smith
fuck em both in the pussy ibm cpu consumer market come back when?
Zachary Ross
Actually servers are ruled by a combination of I/O, memory capacity, to a lesser extent memory bandwidth, performance and power usage.
For the majority of 2P servers I'd put list of priorities like this. 1. Memory capacity 3. I/O 2. Power 3. Performance(until a certain point where you have to trade a lot of power for more perf) 4. Mem Bandwidth
Of course there are servers that need ABSOLUTE performance even at the cost of power and servers that don't even need high performance but need plenty of memory and I/O.
As for AMD's situation with Naples, it's a clear winner on every point, with more memory per socket, with more channels per socket, with A LOT more I/O per socket, with more cores clocked higher per socket. Intel will still get that AVX512 and AVX 2x256 op market, which makes some 10-15% of total datacenter market, but everything else AMD has a massive advantage here, even against Skylake-EX which releases a quarter or two later than Naples.
Leo Ramirez
Sup Forums is a great place for stock advice, if you listened to people here you'd invest in Intel and you'd literally make no money. Meanwhile if you were smart and invested when AMD's maket cap was lower than its patent and IP value, you'd be literally swimming in money considering you'd get a 500%+ jump in stock price.
Julian Mitchell
>investing in AYYYMAD >smart
Owen Scott
Only pretending to be retarded, right?
>buy Intel stock >can't do anything with it >IT'S AMD's fault I'm retarded! Even Nvidia stock was a good buy, but your Intel masters would never allow that since they hate Nvidia more than they hate AMD
Jacob Bennett
AMD stock shill trying to pump and dump, if anyone falls for your crap they are dumb as fuck
Samuel Scott
Hows that Intel stock doing?
Matthew Howard
That's actually amazing they lost 10B in mkt cap I bet they knew something when they fired 50k people last year half of that is validation teams, how are they going to compete without validation? the heck is going on?
Levi Mitchell
They didn't need to compete, and they found out about Zen's power characteristics far too late, others have already picked up the fired validation teams.
Xavier Sanders
It would be smart to do it pre launch of any product since they over hype the crap out of it, just dump the stocks on launch day or a few days before when the real benchmarks come out.
Lincoln Smith
I bought 26 shares and already lost $30, thanks Sup Forums
Christopher Peterson
>As for AMD's situation with Naples, it's a clear winner on every point, with more memory per socket I am so fucking mad I didn't buy in last year FUCK
Jaxson Harris
>Sup Forums is a great place for stock advice honestly Sup Forums would have made me literally rich by now if I had just listened
>Sup Forums convinces me that Trump is a good candidate and is actually going to win >tells me to put money into PredictIt back when his odds were like 500:1 >but it's so doubtful, and all of the normies disagree... it'll probably be Hillary
>Sup Forums tells me to buy bitcoin >KEK enjoy your fake Internet money, autistic losers!
>Sup Forums tells me to buy AMD >lol enjoy your bankruptcy and $0 holdings bro
why didn't i listen
Evan Parker
Stop moping about opportunities lost and try to look ahead the next time.
Andrew Rogers
Sup Forums suggests a lot of shit, how do you know which one to choose
as user above said, do not whine about opportunities lost, find new ones
Caleb Ramirez
Nice.
Jeremiah Young
AMD stock dipped once in the last 6 months and you LOST money?
Chase Lopez
He probably bought it a day before launch and sold quickly as soon as he saw the stock drop, idiotically thinking they'll continue dropping.
Tldr completely clueless, you buy after launches, not before.
Noah Green
I know lads, I just wanted to post a Pepe. Hindsight 20/20 etc.
Leo Nguyen
i bought it after some AMD thread last month and haven't sold anything. It's down 6% since then.
Landon Anderson
So you literally bought it a week pre launch.
I'm sorry but you're retarded. Here's some helpful advice, keep it because a jump to $17 is expected next earnings call, as you can see the stock is steadily going back up after the Zen launch once investors calmed down.
Nolan Parker
>they hate Nvidia more than they hate AMD Why?
Matthew Miller
NVIDIA are the worst company to work with hands down. And Intel licensed GPU patents from NVIDIA. Guess what happened.
Colton Ortiz
Goes back to the nForce days and Jen Hsung trying everything to get a x86 license but Intel telling him to fuck off.
Also more recently Nvidia has become a ML cometitor and HPC competitor for Intel.
William Thompson
Oh right, Intel hates competition that's why it couldn't strongarm x86 into the phone/tablet market.
Bentley Ramirez
AMD's fundamentals haven't changed in ~5 yearsn now.
They haven't had a quarterly reports that include ryzen or naples sales.
So we can assume that the current price is inflated due to hype and/or optimism for ryzen/naples is still there. and so there is a problem, the the optimism is already built into the stock price if AMD's Q1 earnings fail to meet expectations then stock will take a beating.
its great you've made money, but what exactly is support this inflated stock price at the moment ?
Joshua Ortiz
You sell high just before a launch then buy back after launch at a lower cost. It's normal stock market practice.
Jace Fisher
They haven't had a profitable quarter in 3 years but investors are still there else they'd just be floating around $4 like they did a year ago, they've gone to over $10 way before Zen was a thing.
Zachary Cooper
He's a literal AMD stock shill
He wants to pump the stock up so retards buy it, and then dump it at the right time
