Fair enough. The Baltic Sea is a "closed" sea, more or less, making the geography pretty flat. No tall cliffs or anything, since there's not a vast ocean and countless waves to create them.

It seems that Germany (and Denmark) actually has cliffs of sort. Not that tall, though.
I guess the Baltic is a bit rougher there. And the rock itself might have something to do with it, it's apparently chalk.
It'd make sense that the seas are rougher towards the west due to North Atlantic storms reaching into mainland europe
