That war was a war between USSR vs USA puppets. Either result would be bad desu.
The only reason though that the anti-commies won, was because USA agreed with Stalin that Greece would be split 90% to USA and 10% to Russia, so there was no support from the Russians here.

For most Balkan countries, except us, the split went to favor of the USSR, with the only exception of Yugoslavia that it was 50-50.
That's also the reason communism there was bretty good, up until the death of Tito, at least.
