download sapphire trixx and set a fan curve. 60c seems about normal if thats a dual fan 290(x) on stock settings, you can also undervolt as much as possible to lower load temps.2-390 are ovens

Ive bought E6000 C2Ds for 50 cent per peice and sold them for 7-8 € each, even for that price it would be a decent upgrade

I do video editing and have 19 tabs open just right now.
As for upgrade I hoped to get a Xeon 5450 but I didn't have luck,and Core 2 Duos are more expensive than a Xeon alone. I did find a cheap E6550 but it wasn't worth it because of the older core (Conroe vs Wolfdale)

Nah. I'll just look for some cheap Xeon and be done with it. I was initially thinking of a E6550 but I didn't get it because even if it had bigger cache and FSB (1333FSB and 4MB cache) it had a lower clock than the one I have and it was a older core (E6550: Conroe,2.33GHz. E5200: Wolfdale,2.5GHz)
