it's not two CPUs retard, it's sets of cores than can be added and subtracted into a die and interconnected to work as one. It means modular CPU architechture, they can easily swap out die space dedicated to a CCX with an integrated GPU. It's efficient, scalable design that allows you to design different dies much much easier and performance isn't hindered much. It also helps make the binning process much more flexible.
That's the reason AMD can scale to 32 cores, 128 PCie lanes and 8 channel memory while Intel is at 24, 44 lanes and 4 channel memory.
Look at the Haswell-EX die and tell me Intel doesn't do the same, come on, I'm waiting.
