DID YOU KNOW: America technically won the Vietnam war, even Vietnam admits it

DID YOU KNOW: America technically won the Vietnam war, even Vietnam admits it

because we built a McDonald's there?

Things Americans will say ITT:
1. We never really tried!
2. HCM wasn't even a communist!
3. We could have nuked them!
4. They were about to surrender!
5. We didn't lose! It was the Democrats stopping the funding!
6. We signed the Paris Peace treaty! That proves we won!
7. McDonald's in Hanoi = Victory
8. Muh Kill/Death ratio!
9. We stopped the spread of Communism!
10. Vietnamese people are pro-American so we won in the long-run!

Technically in this case meaning not at all?

Vietnam war was to prevent spread of communism to Indochina? Well, communism successfully spread to Indochina so you lost. Chink bros in pajamas BTFO your cuck soldiers.

Don't forget "We didn't lose, it was South Vietnam that lost!"

Don't forget "The hippies made us loose!"

The Vietnamese communists succeeded (with significant help from USSR and China) to create enough military difficulty for the US to decide that in the social and political context saving Vietnamese from Communist dictatorship is not worth the price.
The Southern Koreans should thank the god of timing that their war was conducted by US's greatest generation and not by their children, the spoiled hippies.

It was all JFK's fault anyways.

>being this wrong

Ironic coming from a nation of people who invented communism.

I've never seen an American want to post about Vietnam

OP is proxy and being cucked atm

Members of our nation invent all kind of innovative shit. This is inspected and than either approved or rejected by our society. Christianity and Gommunism is just 2 examples of rejected ideas. Those frustrated rejects than go and propogate it outside. Don't know why you goyim are so susceptible to shit tier ideologies we reject.

We stopped the spread of Communism@

>underrated post
YANKS BTFO

>you'll never be a hippie

at least Christianity works

I wish OP would respond. I'm genuinely curious to see how American propaganda spins Vietnam as an American victory.

The Vietnam was was a military stalemate. That's a little different from a quagmire. It was also a conventional war, not a guerrilla war.

Why did you kill Jesus

*The Korean War

Not sure if fucking up scientific progress for 1000 years can be called ''works'' but ok.

>I'm genuinely curious to see how American propaganda spins Vietnam as an American victory.
It doesn't

>following a kike religion

kill yourself stinky plumber

Nobody actually believes we succeeded, and there is no "American propaganda" on the subject to convince us otherwise.
Sup Forums is a poor sample to extrapolate wider trends in American society.

In school it's pretty much taught as a blunder.

It managed to bring the many warring clans and families of middle/dark age europe under a certain degree of unity under the banner of Christianity.
Granted it's a bit outdated now, but at the time it had a great usefulness.

Tried to save you from the darkness of backward religion.

>It managed to bring the many warring clans and families of middle/dark age europe under a certain degree of unity under the banner of Christianity.

Until they all started killing each other in the 16th and 17th centuries.

nice meme

At the price of religious intolerance. Rome didn't need some intolerant thought pokice religion to unite the known world.

>Chink bros in pajamas BTFO your cuck soldiers

The only game the gooks won was the political one.

>Rome
>Didn't need religion

Hmm...

...

>mfw part vietnamese
>family literally got over the vietnam war decades ago
>only people who care about who won now are autistic white boiz

just move on :(

>we know exactly what the rate of scientific advancement in these years would be, and that it would have proceeded at exactly the same rate at which it did in our timeline
The only people that use this graphic are retards

>got over the vietnam war with the US, which is 40 years ago.
>cannot get over the chinks because some 500 years ago they used to be Vietnam's hergemom.

Geopolitics was never the strong suit of the Germans (no offense). Please stick to being amazing at engineering

How do you quantify scientific progress in order to put it on a chart?

So, you admit that there's just geopolitics at play here and not any mythical feeling of eternal hatred against some rival chink-ethnicy.

They're pissed now because the PRC tried to invade and they're currently fighting over the Spratly and Paracel Islands

If that's what you're getting at, sure. With such a broad definition though, you might as well categorize every inter-ethnic conflict as geopolitics.

Vietnam left behind its qualms with the US because they were just one opponent in a series of wars. China always sits to the north of Vietnam and is always a threat, so it just makes sense.

Butblusted religious fags denying that violently substituting discovery by observation with canonical interpretations of a book written for entirely different purposes and culture has held back science.
You seem bent on embracing the most fucked up ideas some of us throw around, take them to an extreme and then blaim us for the results when we are telling you quite openly to stop doing that.
First Christianity than Communism. Now Multiculturalism. Everey Israrli poster here tells you to stop that. You see our country not doing it and still you invite people that we rejected to preach it and then blaim us for the results when we specificly tell you to not do it both in text and by our own example.
You are truly to us what the nigers are to you.

when is america lost meme going to stop jesus christ look at the statistics

>Denying the infinite power of Christ to explain all

M8 I'm an atheist, but that chart you posted is just stupid. In order to mathematically quantify something don't you have to be able to create some kind of unit of measurement for it? How do you measure scientific progress?

if losing is winning for USA, I can't even imagine how it will be when you lose. You faggots would probably deny reality altogether, probably mass suicide. Those fat blobs would implode not because of their mass but out of sheer mental bewilderment

Your flag is stupid

>DID YOU KNOW: America technically won the Vietnam war, even Vietnam admits it
Those red neck fantasies

REFER TO

>more civilians died than US soldiers
My Lai get fucked

It's not perfect but x axis is time and y axis is scientific discoveries so you have the car in 1374 ad for example by taking same rate of advancement. Such projections are done in comparative economic analysis all the time.

Didn't we lose that one? Does it really matter? All that matters is how the USA currently is.

>All that matters is how the USA currently is.
Failing to achieve our goals in two separate wars and leaving the Middle East massively destabilized?

=]

>tried to invade
?

>fighting over the islands
Which no one should own. Not even Vietnam.

What's funny is that Chiness like Vietnam. They see it like an irritated but amusing monkey.

Median incomes fallen to 1995 levels?
104% debt/GDP ratio
2 more failed wars in the Middle East?
Libya on fire
Syria on fire
China and Russia getting their way?

Hey at least we have transgender bathrooms!

>>tried to invade?
>The Sino-Vietnamese War (Vietnamese: Chiến tranh biên giới Việt-Trung; simplified Chinese: 中越战争; traditional Chinese: 中越戰爭; pinyin: Zhōng-Yuè Zhànzhēng), also known as the Third Indochina War, was a brief border war fought between the People's Republic of China and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in early 1979. China launched the offensive in response to Vietnam's invasion and occupation of Cambodia in 1978 (which ended the rule of the Chinese-backed Khmer Rouge).

Vietnamese consider it to be an attempted invasion, Chinese basically regard it as a police action. The Vietnamese were massively assmad about it for a while, and they're bringing it up again due to the island situation. I think the Chinese had to pull some workers out of Chinese factories in Vietnam because there were protests against them

>listing a series of valid points
Were you trying to lose this argument? I don't get it.

>All that matters is how the USA currently is.
shit?

It is nice to see that people always forget that the Khmer Rouge, pretty much communist ISIS, werent just supported by China, but also the USA because they were anti-soviet communists.

Kissinger even gave China his blessing when he was consulted by Deng Xiaoping before attempting that offensive in '79, and the US even gave China moral support in that war, because both of them were deeply in their honeymoon to contain Soviet influences in Southeast Asia (with Vietnam being an USSR-client), and the USSR and Vietnam just signed a military cooperation treaty aimed at China.

That's not to say that I denounce the Vietnamese invasion of Cambodia btw.
Khmer Rouge were shitheads and it is good that they are done away with.

But the Geopolitics of that Cold War period were interesting, to say the least. No matter if you are a genociding communist terror regime - you only have to be against the Soviets, and you'll have Murrica's support.

For China, it is more a traditional thing, as the Cambodian royal house that came before, were always deeply rooted with China.

I didn't mention our support of the Khmer Rouge because I didn't think it was relevant to the current tensions between Vietnam and China
