daily reminder ublock origin is available in the windows 10 store (not in the extensions section of Edge)

it comes with a 'block any media item larger than X' option, for the metered connection crowd, that is PRETTY FUCKING HANDY

>metered connection
Haha, what the fuck?

you mean phoneposters?

>it comes with a 'block any media item larger than X' option, for the metered connection crowd, that is PRETTY FUCKING HANDY
It's been around for quite a while...

it is pretty handy for the hotspot crowd, as I am

suddenly you click a link to whatever website, and they play a movie on the side because fuck you

and your data plan is gone

yeah the thing is that Edge doesn't have an image blocking feature, as any other browser does

I am not talking about adblocking, but literally blocking image loading on certain websites, that murder your data plan

ublock could give you something similar with the feature I posted

>TFW burgerland internet

Wow what a great reason to use Edge!

t. Nobody, ever

ublock is rated by the ESRB?

there is a lot of apps/extensions for Edge that don't appear in the 'Edge extensions' section of the store

pretty stupid, or maybe the ones appearing are sponsored

Xbox and Windows share apps now

Not OP, but i live in a country without unlimited data plans for 4g internet so this is useful.
Or it would be to me if i didn't returned to 8.1 because 10 is awful

afaik the firefox and chrome versions of ublock work the same way

>returned to 8.1 because 10 is awful
what the fuck kind of new breed of retard are you? 8.1 is the hottest, most steaming pile of shit they've ever shat out on the public

>being a bandwidthlet
Such is life of the anglo

>Windows 10
>forced updates unless you install an specific version or fuck around to make ethernet metered
>said updates includes drivers that can break your shit at any time (Nvidia drivers, I/O Intel drivers)
>installs bloatware automatically
>inconsistent UI
>eats more disk space and ram than 7 or 8.1

>Windows 8.1
>Start screen
>?????

did they stop the windows 10 update nagging?

The "Update windows 10 now!" stuff? Yes, thankfully

Does edge supports webm now? Might switch.

not the one used on Sup Forums (VP8)
only the new one (VP9)

That sucks

this is not an Edge shill thread by any means
I use Edge because I hate google and nuFirefox is trash

i installed tampermonkey and ublock here, and i am pretty happy with it
to be honest, i just use it to shitpost and check 3-4 websites, as i don't use any type of social media, or webapps

with that in mind, Edge is the fastest browser i have in my laptop, by a long shot

yeah
i have a chromium install just for the casual visit to /gif/

I like Edge but I always ended returning to Opera. It needs more polish but it's already much better than >IE

FIY they are two ranks of Windows
fine: 2k - XP - 7 - 8.1
shit: Me - Vista - 8 - 10

Now check where 8.1 is and where 10 is.

where is windows 95
fucking infidel

>8.1
>fine
b9

I only care for the NT family server-excluded. Me is for both ranks to have the same length and global minimum of shitness.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with 8.1 other than the metro shit

>Place an on boot task to skip the start menu
>Install some start menu
Now 8.x is better than any other windows version.

>skip the start menu.
skip the start screen.

why is it okay for this Nik Rolls guy to claim himself as the author? almost all of the work is not his.

I currently have them set to open in WMP (only video player I have installed because fuck your anime), so I can just click the link and open in that. Not perfect, but usable for anything besides /gif/.

could you pls be more specific about how to do it?

On Sup Forums I just click on the *.webm on the post to trigger the download prompt, then click open on that. First time you have to set the default program to open .webm with so just pick your favourite video player. If you use WMP you can just ignore the popup saying it doesn't support that file extension, they work fine.

oh ok
now I understand; thank you
my rice just shows me an empty placeholder
