I tried logging into Sup Forums earlier today, but it kept redirecting into OpenDNS stating that "this domain is blocked.". I was using Google's public DNS.
But when I switched my DNS address to UncensoredDNS's, I can browse Sup Forums again. Then I switched to Google's again to see if it still blocks it; but I got through to this site anyway somehow. Can anyone explain what just happened?
Anyway, what are some Sup Forums approved DNS addresses?
Move somewhere where you control your Internet? Set up a VPN in AWS?

Everything is working fine now. I'm just looking for an explanation behind what just happened.

Philippines. But I don't see anything in the local news regarding this.
But here I am, shitposting like always.

Anyone can configure OpenDNS to fillter certain categories of domains you just go to the site and sign up for it, my step dad tried to do it years ago but then realized that I could just change my local DNS to anything else to bypass it.
Someone on your network has configured OpenDNS to do that for requests coming from your IP
Juan Edwards
But noone on my network configured OpenDNS. I am the only one using it, and I haven't touched anything.

Dynamic IP? Its a small world don'cha know?
Connor Bennett
Every time I've ever encountered a block using HTTPS has always circumvented it.

Nope. I have a static IP. I'm still trying to figure out what happened. What DNS does Sup Forums use?
Me too. My normie friends think I'm a hacker just because I know how computers work.

>logging into Sup Forums Computer: what did he mean by this?
Jack Hall
Wrong word choice maybe. But you get the point.

That is pretty odd... I use my ISP DNS because they are standards compliant and don't inject/redirect my DNS I also don't do anything 'shady' online, but I did use OpenNIC for a while, but I have heard some bad stuff about them recently
The cheapest one and I often use the server to torrent movies and stream from a webserver while also doubling it as a VPN and encounter no bottlenecks and came nowhere near to maxing out the 500GB traffic limit.
