Fast Internet

What is your favourite thing to do with your fast Internet?

Mine is to post on threads and make others feel like shit.

Pic related, download is a bit slow today.

What's so good about your internet? It's average

For australia it is god tier

Average on what planet?

What ISP are you on? The only place I see speeds like that in Australia is on my Vultr Vps. Pic related, my home connection. Best I can get without fibre installation.

Uranus

What's the ping on servers outside kangaroo land?

Now he should try outside of australia, let's see how much it is then

We get less than 40ms to NZ, and around 200ms to America.

Implying he cant max his connection with multiple downloads from anywhere

Not bad i guess

Anyone got a 10gbps NIC and the 2gbps service from comcast?

Not that I really need it, 1gbps is already faster than most servers can deal with.

...

How can I feel like shit knowing a stupid fuck has fast Interwebz and doesn't know what to do with it?

>Decide to play 70GB game
>Only have to wait 10 minutes

Jesus I am envious.

Yeah I just got it this morning, upgrading from 150/150mbps.

Pretty happy with it so far, this connection is used by 5 people and we honestly were limited by 150mbps especially on nights when all 5 were using at once.

...

>tfw internet speeds faster than my shitty hdd write speeds

I've had faster in Australia.

Kill yourself.

This, wtf?

>tfw Australia thinks 25mbps is enough for a family all using the net at once.
>tfw im stuck on 10/1mbps ADSL
>tfw ill probably be an old man before we ever get gigabit avaliable to the home for cheap

NZ is okay
Perth the city on the West coast about 70-80ms
Singapore about 150
US 200+

>tfw fair usage drops me to 3Mbps at 200 gb
JUST

Get on my lvl fags

>>tfw fair usage drops me to 3Mbps at 200 gb
>JUST

Where can this Shit happen?

>and we honestly were limited by 150mbps
Were you? That's 30Mbps for everyone, that's a lot more than many people have. I imagine one person could choke up that entire connection, but still.
It's nice living on your own, I'm fine with 60/15.

Household storage is sitting just under 40TB total. Lots of torrents and streams.

I have 100mbps down speed. I use it to seed torrents and download vast amounts of furry porn

How much are yall paying for your internet? 60 bucks for 60/5 here

>Where can this Shit happen?
India I guess. because I get dropped to 4Mbps after 300 GB

I dunno, man. I'm working on using my router hooked with a parabolic dish to send the signal long distances to where I'll be staying for extended periods of time where there's no access. So far, I have been able to send it over 26km. It's working P well

10Euros for 100/10
God bless fiber

Mfw im an ausfag that has some of the best internet in my area but its only 12mb/s

...

3/0.3 here for 32$

Feels bad to live on an island full of monkeys

Pepe is a handsome young man in this photograph

pretty sure the server is only on a 0.5gbps upload link because it didn't once hit over 500mbps.

Meanwhile I can upload torrents at my full 1gbps, so I know I have full 1gbps up and down.

80€ for 350/35 with TV and mobile. Still expensive IMO

>german internet

I like to ping google.

U?

...

j u s t
I'm thinking about getting a meme 4G internet, I'd have like 40/40 for the same price of this one, should I do it?
Has a 1TB cap before dropping speed to 1, but I don't even have time to waste all of that anymore

28€ for 100/100

Pretty good I guess.

>1 TERAbyte
>1 MBit/s drop
In Germany you get 15 GB and will be limited to 32 KBits afterwards

but I thought tele2 originated in germany, how come we get to have better stuff?
price is like 24€

>megabits

because germany = africa
I pay 30 € for my shit connection
I'm switching to Magenta Hybrid next year
400 € or 9.95 per month extra for a shitty hybrid speedport

Mine, could get higher speed but there is no point. Just me and my gf. I pay round 46 per month for it and the cable modem

Feel the third world, I'm happy with it tho

>tfw smartphones get faster internet than you

>fast internet
>everything good is 250ms away

Totally not fake

This is mine, also totally not fake, like yours, not fake, not bait.
speedtest.net/result/6259091572

is mine fake too?

yes

lol stay mad pleb

I'm satisfied.

>fake
TCP/IP max for 1gbps link is ~946mbps when using default frame buffer size.

So 1000mbps exactly isn't even possible, ignoring the fact no speedtest would be EXACTLY 1000.00.

> tfw my phone gets higher speeds on wifi than most of the americucks here

But, I have contracted 1 Yoltabyte per second. It's totally possible now. 2017.

>using University internet and claiming it's yours
canberran scum

Forgot to add, on my desktop I get around 9213 mbps on my 10 gbps network card

>yawn

> muh upload
my download is still faster VIRGINiafag

Yeah by 7mbps, woooo.

It's wifi so it was fluctuating between 250 and 320mbps.

Also, if your desktop really gets 9213mbps lets see some screenshots.

Here you go, just to satisfy you.

Having fast internet is pretty cool. I got used to it, 100Mbps felt fast just a few years ago, seeing something download at 10-11MB/s feels slow as fuck now.

>mfw

How do you have 1 Gbit symmetrical from Comcast?

I dont, the fastest my ISP offers is 940/880mbps and it's Verizon FiOS.

However, Comcast DOES offer a competing 2gbps service in my area, but since I would need a 10Gb NIC and it's $299.99 month instead of $125/month.

iirc there's a $500 setup fee.

Yeah, my house was already wired with a recent generation FiOS ONT when they installed here ~5 years ago. The 1gbps upgrade FiOS offers required no upgrade to my router, ONT, or anything.
Just said I wanted the new 1gbps service, and the next morning it was active. My bill goes up a whole $25 month but meh. Went from 150/150 to 940/880mbps.

While comcast IS faster, the $500 setup/install fee, + the $299/month price, AND the $300-500+ 10Gb NIC. Just doesn't make sense when I have 1gbps for basically nothing.

Actually just checked and for my specific address Comcast is advertising $149.99 locked in for 2 years for the 2gbps service instead of $299.99 normal price.

But they still say it's up to $500 install fee AND up to $500 service activation fee.

So could be potentially ~$1200 for the first month and $150 a month recurring.

Not including the cost of a 10Gb NIC.

so on a scale of 1-10, what is my connection?

-2

It eventually leveled out a bit, this is what I usually get.

I'm on maybe 8mbps right now, the other night it was 0.5mbps. A few months ago I think it was about 1 or 2 for a long, long time. In Australia btw, 8 seems fine.

>8 seems fine.
Not if you want to download anything over 1gb.

Would be 3
Latency drops you to 2 though.

Lol star citizen download taking me ~5 minutes for 30GB.

I have charter and every fucking night, they slow me down from 100 to 10. Who can i switch to in LA with no goddamn data cap and at least a 60 down/15 up?

Decent down, but trash up. Help what do i switch to

>upload greater than download
This is a server connection. You're probably in a lab, uni or anything that have a gigantic network with gigabit connections. Any 3rd world country have a connection like that.

switch to kys or kyisp

use any server from Asia or Europe and see what happens paco!

Random server in London.

See how everything changed? But your download is still impressive. Good for you.

Well no shit, but considering 90% of the servers i'll be connecting to are in the US, i think i'll be okay.

it's only really an issue for you guys trying to connect to us, as the US hosts a shit ton of large services.

tfw dialup

Yea man, shit sucks but it's not that bad thanks to fiber. And thanks to google and microsoft for opening their data centers in my country, lots of US based sites are as the same speed as yours.

$115/m

Unlimited/Data, U/National Phone, U/International.

60 Mbps ~$15/mo.
Satisfied.

>my telco is offering 1gbps unlimited fiber with a free xbox one slim for $140 a month (24month contract)
>if I reissue my 24month contract I could get a apple tv for free
what 2 do?

$85 for 300/30. Not that it matters much since Cox has the most unreliable connections I can imagine. Something is down or under maintenance multiple times a week. I wish fiber was feasible or already in my city.
