Tell me one MacBook where you can have a $300 1TB SSD then we'll talk.

noone talked about the price you retard.

I did.

plastic shit > soda can
:^)

Dell XPS 13 squeaks around the palm rests due to it being made with plastic

are the build quality of macbook even considered good by anyone?
The aluminum body is impractical to produce, unpleasant to use and heavier than the alternatives.
The logo lets light through the screen, so you can see the logo through the screen. Over time, it gets really hard to unsee.
The keyboard is mediocre.
The touchpad is okay, but who cares at this point?
The laptop is not impressive by any standard, apple cuts so many corners and the only reason they get away with it is the lack of any press coverage.

Tell me one macbook that can do half the shit any windows computer can do

Professional advice: it cannot be done

The touchpad ist "okay"? Are you mentally challenged? Have you ever even worked with a macbook before?
The 2015 macbook pro keyboard is good also, its true that the 2016 macbook pro keyboard is shit though.

Thinkpad x220

shitty touchpad

Dell XPS 13/15.

And with that, OP got completely and absolutely BLOWN THE FUCK OUT with no way of ever coming back from this.

Me - 1, some random idiot user - 0.

Get rekt LMAO.

who the fuck uses a touchpad? Once you use the track point you never go back

you're a meme

touchpad on the Macbooks is amazing
but ye, that's the only thing macbooks have going for them

I work repairing laptops of all kinds, for sure aluminum made laptops are more durable than their plastic counterparts.

>implying 3.5 pounds is unmanageable by any standards
>logo only shows through on water damaged macbook airs with non-ips lcds
>implying most windows keyboards are any better
>implying most windows keyboards have glass trackpads
>implying windows cant be installed on a macbook
>how does apple cut corners? pic related

alright lads, what laptop do you recommend?

unironically razer blade

Maybe this. Currently considering buying one now so I can get away from my computer and work.
I have to wear earplugs when rendering so it'd be nice if I could just send things to my PC from tablet to be done while I am out.

I mean it is fine, but I would still prefer to use a real mouse if I had to do use the laptop for cursor based applications.

I have seen several different models where the logo is visible in the image, but it is usually more visible if you view the screen from an angle.
None of them were water damaged. It happens naturally when the back is exposed to light.

I have repaired literally hundreds of MacBooks and i have only seen it on water damaged airs

Part of the whole "build quality" thing feels like a meme. I wish more manufacturers still made practical laptops with a nice set of ports and reasonable specs instead of trying to make everything slim and lightweight.

Mac + clones and space ship gaming laptops feel like the only reasonable option nowadays. I think I would get a thinkpad or something if it didn't cost so much in my country.

The XPS is carbon fiber and aluminum, dumbass. The trackpad is also quite good. Not quite Apple level, but very good nonetheless. It's not 2008 anymore. The unibody MacBook meme isn't as special it was several years ago.

I'd still take one over a budget consumer laptop, but on the higher end, or business class, you'd do best to research what's has the best set of compromises for your needs, and not simply default to a MacBook. The XPS 13 and 15 do a better a job of what the MacBook is (prosumer level laptop).

>calling carbon-fiber-reinforced plastic not plastic
top kek

What's the point of making the internal design so sexy?

Like... I can't think of a single thing. They don't even market it.

+1

>implying all plastic is shit
top kek
These days, who knows what clown at Apple gives a shit, but Steve Job's did because "but you'll know", as he would tell his engineers.

That pursuit of perfection is long gone now for the most part.

Surface book

HP Spectre x360
keyboard is unironically 1000x better than XPS
trackpad is great
build quality is fantastic (aluminum)
great speakers
2 TB3 ports and 1 USB-A
great battery life

Zenbook Pro

>build quality
nothing I know of
>touchpad
every other notebook is better. touchpad on macbook pro is pretty shitty.
