BOTNET

Ubiquiti access point

Generic IoT botnet device

A ubiquiti access point. I have one at home. They're cheap for an enterprise class product, but for a real enterprise deployment i would go Cisco if the money was available.

Thanks, yeah trust me they'll always go with the cheaper shit where I work.

looks like a wifi transmitter.

expensive. take it home with you user!

>expensive
They're $125

For a fucking access point.
Its all about the budget user, and 125 on a wifi extender just isnt up to par. You can easily repurpose a 10 router off ebay to do the same shit.

A similar Cisco AP is $500. Your eBay router also does not do POE. How are you going to get power to that piece of shit router in the ceiling? How are you going to manage 75 of them?

Homo detector

You can buy the lite model for $75. It's 2x2 and uses non standard poe, but it's also a lot smaller. The $125 one (UAc-AP-Pro) has a bit better range and does 3x3.

Unifi AP.
You know, you could've asked those who installed it.

Its a cuck detector

SCP-093
you better get the fuck outta there OP

poe is very basic. It was nigger rigged firs and then integrated into devices as a "feature" later.
Just simply cut the cable and pull out two wires on each end, or do it real pretty like and reterminate them yourself to have two ends, or just use a $2 ebay poe injector.
You could also open up the router, desolder one of the pins your are dedicating to poe, remove it from the hold and insulate the hole for paranoia reasons. Then solder a wire from the new peo pin to the power barrel plug.

>How are you going to manage 75 of them?
Dont know enough about wifi shits to know what kind of "managing" needs done. I imagine there are already free as in freedom solutions available.

When you say 2x2 and 3x3 what are you referencing?

>Dont know enough about wifi shits to know what kind of "managing" needs done. I imagine there are already free as in freedom solutions available.

There really isn't.

routers run linux.. roll your own with a botnet.

Check if it has mic.

Remember the user who was being spied by his landlord?

Let's say you have a big campus and you have 75 of them. You're going to do that 75 times? I'm hoping you see the value in these units and what their purpose is. With these types of units, you have management software that configures the units. Instead of logging into each unit individually, when you plug in a new unit it automatically connects to the management server and configures itself automatically.

>2x2 3x3
This refers to the number of transmitters. Only the MacBook Pro and some expensive adapters do 3x3, but this gives the highest speed. On 2x2 my
Mbp will do about 450mb/s sustained while on 3x3 it'll do about 600mb/s.

Underrated

Doesn't your country have laws that make sure your head isn't too close to a wifi device?

I don't give a fuck about your cancer, but blocking communications is a federal offense in my country.

>Hello David.
>My name is Heuristic Algorithm Logic 2000
>But you can call me HAL.
>I see you're downloading 'my little pony' porn
>I think you should stop, David
>You're on company time.
>And my database suggests that it might not be healthy.
>I'm sorry, David. But I will have to report this.

ubiquity wifi ac access point

This, I just installed 6 lite ones for a hostel, they work flawlessly the management is so easy. I am considering getting a couple of them for my house.

same thing as cisco but cheaper and designed for home/small business

from what I hear ubnt products are solid

I do see the value in that, I still as a decent solution if you're willing to do a bit of work. (75*125 = $9375 + tax) (15*10 = $750 w/o tax) the cheap solution with the diy management program is the better route.
But if you are a college campus then wasting money is your game and you wouldn't care about any of this.

>This refers to the number of transmitters
That is a great selling point for these things, They probably beat the old routers there. (do college campuses really care how slow the students wifi is?)

The cheapest solution isn't always best. That diy method is going to cost you more than time. Your employees down time is going to cost way more when your shitty diy solution breaks. And my God dealing with all those injectors. You use a POE switch to power them.

Campus does not mean college, a large business complex with more than one building is referred to as a campus.

Trust me no one in the real world would diy this kind of stuff and anyone attempting to should be fired.

>comparing $10 ap to unifi

You clearly have no idea of this, just stop posting about shit you dont know.

Fiero with a body kit

Nutsack temperature analyzer.

Releases VX gas if you get a boner from porn surfing at work.

>replying to retarded bait

come on guys

I love those APs, I think we have roughly 150+ of them deployed, a mixture of UBNT AP AC Pro and UBNT AP AC Lite.

I really want to sneaikly deploy the one with the built in speaker somewhere so I can play a weird noise over it at random.

...

but muh dumpster dived DIY shit is better! I bet it wasn't made in china like chink shit unibiquity! I was born in the wrong decade

Kek

no mac filtering though.

This, enjoy cancer in your balls OP
