200% debt/gdp

They became too efficient at producing anime and sextoys.

kikes

not enough children, too much baby boomers running things

They made the mistake of handing ministry of finance to a liberal market patron (central bank pawn).

The ran out of ideas to copy
and a conformist society doesn't create disruptive technologies.

are you telling me the NES and the Gameboy are copycats? of what?

too many goddamn NEETs
exactly the same problem Sup Forums has.

Old people who still think they're relevant and young people too scared to defy them because muh honor.

3% unemployment rate. Enough with this neet meme.

Pretty much all of the important parts inside of your phone are made in Japan.

Japan still dominates at the components, its the putting it all together into a consumer item its not so great at. They really suck at software that isn't a game.

Personally I find my Sony phone better than anything Samsung puts out, but Samsung is better at marketing

dwindling population that's meeting larger growing populations and can't keep up with them in the markets

>implying young people there care about honor at all nowadays
kek

anime

You know there were consoles before nes? You know game and watch was before game boy right? Granted still nintendo

They suck at optimizing games but destroy it at actually having gameplay

No, user. Those are all made in China.

globalization and india/china

>what happened?
Korean tech giants

keynesianism

>respecting your elders when they don't respect you in turn
What cucks.

Japs=Chinks=Gooks
Merchants, not creators.

How is (((employed))) defined there?

Softbank has been making some big moves, like acquiring ARM. It's just a matter of whether they actually do something worthwhile and paradigm-shifting in the next decade instead of wasting it like they did with other acquisitions, like Aldebaran.

Nevermind, I only just read they sold 25% off to secure a stake in a Saudi fund.

They still king of kings though, dont let the consumer pigs everyday products fool you.

Many important field in Tech Industry Japan is still no.1

A broken economy, a broken population and weebs

Once upon a time the West outsourced manufacture to Japan like we do today with China or Indonesia, because the labor market was cheap as fuck in a recovering postwar economy.
They had an influx of shekels, getting richer and richer, which made them greedy and productive. In time they plateau'd, like all other postwar economies, but then they fell into the asset price bubble.

Now they mass produce rubber sex dolls.

Cultural shift post war produced crappy leaders and managers.

They became a protectorate territory of the USA. They bought into the (false) financial economy and now they are fucked.

>Japan was the king of technology
FYI that was and is a meme

Japan has enormous creative industries.

>weeb
Yes. A tiny, now practically non-existent American pseudo-subculture is why Japan is not doing as well it once did. Those weebs are scarier than the CIA.

They got addicted to their cartoon sex dolls

WW2

the hentai + anime generation is in charge now

What does that have to do with anything?

In case you haven't notice Japan has ASIMO one of the two best androids in the world, the other one being DARPA petman. You are just mad because gundam isn't real.

this, they become very efficent producing degenerate stuffs at the point where they are king of sextoys related technology
good bye mechas

They have Mechs already
They're just hiding it

Korea took over emerging markets and slowly forced Japan out of their markets, all thanks to internationally recognized patents.

Patents really should be abolished.

Even worse. Their variant of NEET, the hikikomori, is extreme to the point of literally never leaving the house/room/basement.

So what you're saying is they got zerg rushed?

The Japs were unbeatable at making awesome games for as long as making awesome games required to code in pure assembly (think days of NES/GB/SNES/PS1/N64). Once hardware got powerful enough to allow development of top game titles in higher-level languages, they somehow lost it. Some say that it may had to do with a language barrier, as names of keywords, functions, libraries etc. are almost universally english words or some contractions/abbreviations thereof.

So basicly, they started imperialistic, Got ass kicked in the war, went democratic, got rich, went republic?

What the fuck man

This. Japan is degenerate beyond saving.
