neither

everyone using spaces should be gassed

I prefer to indent my code with cute anime girls.

This, even though I didn't even know spaces was a thing until silicon valley

>they don't indent their code with zero-width characters

Plebs, all of you.

Spaces 'force' the style on others and use more data.
Tabs use less data and size can be changed in program.
Both are interchangeable with external programs.
Use spaces to wall your community from bad writers, otherwise tabs.

I didn't realise it was a thing till I saw this thread.

Both. I alternate every line.

This is the only way.

It's a fatal error in python3+ to mix tabs and spaces, also a question for the OP, is a tab 4 or 8 spaces?

Tabs indent, spaces align.

i used to use tabs when i was a kid too.

but then i grew up and got a job and realized nobody cares about the extra KBs, spaces allow to align properly everytime.

those who use both should die by firing squad though.

>is a tab 4 or 8 spaces?
Not OP but it literally doesn't matter, that's why tab indents are superior

>tabs or spaces
spaces are superior simply because they are the same for everyone

Nigger everybody knows it's three

Usually spaces but in rare cases tabs are necessary and tabs are also necessary for backwards compatibility.

spaces

...

If you have matrices in your code, use a different tab stop than me, and you use tabs for indentation, I will kill you in your sleep.

Set text editor to autoconvert tabs to spaces

Spaces, glhf with dos2unix'ing your code.
