This is probably going to sound really stupid but how do I get the best sound out of my PS4? I enjoy playing rhythm games and I was thinking about buying some $100-150 headphones, will they work out of the box?
Asher Stewart
i don't have a PS4 but what you're gonna want to do is look at the outputs and see if there is a standard 1/8" jack. otherwise you'll need an adapter or possibly bluetooth garbage
Christopher Lopez
>Budget $500-800 USD >Location Computer desk, standard room >Source Magni Uber 2 w/ Fiio E10K as DAC >Type of headphone Willing to try something new, interested in electrostatic or planar magnetic >Open or closed Open >Comfort level High >Sound signature Flat, I hate niggerbass and too much treble gives me headaches >Past headphones HD600(current), Meze 99 Classics, Massdrop Noble X, Dunu Titan 1, some meme gaymin headsets
I love my HD600s, I had a bunch of iems and shit headphones and never really liked the sound signature until I got my HD600s. I think I am at my endgame but I want to see what a direct upgrade would be that's closest to the HD600. Someone recommended me STAX before but I want to see if there's anything else out there before dropping the cash.
Adrian Wood
The controller has a 3.5mm audio jack but I doubt it would be enough for DT 990s? I think you can also connect USB headsets so maybe a dac + amp would do?
Caleb Nguyen
>tfw the day when analog connectors are deprecated is nigh.
Asher Campbell
spdif to a modi2uber or similar, then an amp (like magni2uber), then your headphones (such as HD600).
Brody Foster
>rhythm games idolm@ster?
Aaron Bell
Thanks, I'll try.
No, it's just some mikus and dj max when that comes out on PS4.
Henry Bell
If it didn't sound obvious enough, I have such a setup too. Just PS3 instead of PS4.
Ian Roberts
>No, it's just some mikus and dj max when that comes out on PS4. Consider deresute and/or love live, if you have an android or ios phone. See reddit /r/SchoolIdolFestival and /r/StarlightStage

What headphones? I've been eyeing the hd598 but someone told me they're memephones.

Noah Hill
Does sony even produce good headphones? I've never seen anyone recommend anything from them.
Connor Wood
When you're old enough to spend 200 on headphones you're old enough to grow out of Linkin Bizkit
Sebastian Jones
>got recommended the Brainwavz HM5 >looks pretty good, original price not that expensive >go look at local and online shops for it >costs roughly $350 in local currency >mfw
Ethan Price
Find a good pair of iems and plug them into the bottom of your controller.
I use a pair of hd600's and a fulla 2 amp, then connect them with a simple audio jack. That's probably not what you had in mind though. The fulla 2 is fairly cheap in america if you already have half decent headphones though.
Daniel Jackson
Post your V6s
Jeremiah Gutierrez
Is this bait? The MDR V6 has being an industry standard for almost 30 years, it also has being one of the most common recommendations here on Sup Forums since before the first /hpg/.
Christopher Nelson
MDR-V6 and MDR-7506 are highly regarded and frequently recommended here. MA-900 is a discontinued model which is liked and somewhat sought after second hand.
>meme Why not just ignore everyone who uses that word to describe anything? It's not like they are providing you with information.
HD 598 is a neutral-ish open back headphone.
Lucas Mitchell
So where do you guys get your high quality audio files?
Lucas Lee
these are pretty lit
David Barnes
So close on pulling the trigger on the beyerdynamic dt 990 premiums with an SMSL m3 mini amp, is this good or are there any reccommendations?
I want to start having more and more headphones but not many amps, my absolute price limit of amp and headphone combined is 300 bongs. Thanks in advance
Benjamin Sullivan
Should I pull the trigger on pic related?
Joshua Cooper
Redpill me on the AKG K845
Sebastian Anderson
They are so shit, they literally have to put animu girls in the box to sell them.
Isaiah Richardson
You get the girl aswell?
James Cooper
They are red like the pills.
Landon Garcia
She gets to be your waifu until warranty expires
Oliver Morgan
But she's one of the worst girls in the game
Jackson Moore
Tough luck, then. Buy another brand.
Nolan Myers
HD599 is better and probably within budget.
Avoid HD598cs, as that's an entirely different closed headphone leeching on the reputation of the open version.
Dominic Barnes
I mean you can cheat on the girls, so she could technically be my side bitch? But that still doesn't really answer my question on how they are.
Austin Morales
Wireless K545, which is basically the K550, but less bulky. The leak/fit issue might be worse on the 545 than 550. At least it isn't as large.
Brayden Gonzalez
would you say 598cs are worth it for $90? I got them right now and I like how they look and are comfy.
Justin Morales
No. Maybe for $24
Liam James
She's so ugly
Matthew Rodriguez
What would you suggest instead for closed? I'm willing to go for 599s if the 598c is really shit at being closed.
Asher Wright
Don't bully the neet.
Henry Brooks
any plug&play usb dac will work with it (volume control works from the sidebar) if you already have a hdmi receiver you can use the headphone output of that there's also optical on the old ps4 model (not on the slim) maybe you can try your tv's output first if it's lag free
ps4 controller jack is a shit
Caleb Russell
Anyone else have these? what are your thoughts? I wish the attachment method was a little better thought out, otherwise, they sound amazing
Chase Gray
What am I in for?
Nicholas Jackson
A big waste of money and a lot of regret
Austin Robinson
>$199.99 For what reason.
Bentley Williams
They're not bad at all, that's probably just the same user in every thread that's always recommending his precious HD380 while shit talking the 598 Cs. For $90 they're a good choice.
How durable are Beyerdynamic headphones? They look kinda cheaply made, so I'm not sure they'll survive long.
Hudson Moore
but it has good reviews
Nathan Fisher
From what I've heard about it, a slightly improved 1more triple driver
Luis Sanders
Oh that's assuring. I saw the HD380s too but goddamn I can't get over how fugly they look. I also don't mind they leak that much, it's just with fully open it would have been unbearable with my roommate.
Hunter Ward
>Budget < $200 >Location USA >Source Phone, for commuting purposes only >Type of headphone IEM >Comfort level High >Sound signature Neutral >Past headphones ATH-M50
I want a nice IEM with a microphone preferably. Are detachable cables a must? I've had 2 v-moda in the past that broke. I don't want to spend a lot of money on something that will break. Currently have apple earbuds.
Jordan Rogers
Sony makes the perfect headphone.
Michael Hernandez
Maybe I'll buy the ATH IEM next time I'm in Japan. So overpriced here.
David Baker
Stop being a fag and buy youself some speakers.
Xavier Hall
I'm sure these guys writing Amazon reviews are true experts and like what you like. Enjoy them, if you can.
Can't a man have both?
When they put the sixth driver in it will be a nice upgrade too.
Justin Roberts
Speakers are for numales in midlife crisis who think setting up the "perfect" audio room will make their lives seem less empty, then end up with a 20:1 ratio of posting photos of their setup on audiophile forums to actually listening to music.
Headphones are for people who actually enjoy audio.
William Fisher
I tried HD650 on Xbox One gamepad and they were too quiet.
Joseph Walker
>amp+dac more expensive than headphones
Colton Diaz
>headband on 10 Damn, that's quite the head you must have!

I decided to wait for my paycheck to come in before I bought a pair of DT770s. They were $160 on Amazon last night before I went to bed and now they are over $200. Does the price of DT770s normally fluctuate like this?

is there anything under 100$ that is even remotely worth it?

Creative Aurvana Air Active Clip-on Earphones, Marshall Mode, 1MORE Triple Driver. Which one should I buy in terms durability and sound quality?
Michael Jones
Ignore this sennshill, they are a bad value and sound awful. Buy shure 440 instead
Jackson Ramirez
He350 and sph9500 come close. I have some k240s on the way so I'll check them out and post the unboxing on here like always
