This is probably going to sound really stupid but how do I get the best sound out of my PS4? I enjoy playing rhythm games and I was thinking about buying some $100-150 headphones, will they work out of the box?

i don't have a PS4 but what you're gonna want to do is look at the outputs and see if there is a standard 1/8" jack. otherwise you'll need an adapter or possibly bluetooth garbage

I love my HD600s, I had a bunch of iems and shit headphones and never really liked the sound signature until I got my HD600s. I think I am at my endgame but I want to see what a direct upgrade would be that's closest to the HD600. Someone recommended me STAX before but I want to see if there's anything else out there before dropping the cash.

The controller has a 3.5mm audio jack but I doubt it would be enough for DT 990s? I think you can also connect USB headsets so maybe a dac + amp would do?

>tfw the day when analog connectors are deprecated is nigh.

spdif to a modi2uber or similar, then an amp (like magni2uber), then your headphones (such as HD600).

>rhythm games
idolm@ster?

Thanks, I'll try.

No, it's just some mikus and dj max when that comes out on PS4.

If it didn't sound obvious enough, I have such a setup too. Just PS3 instead of PS4.

>No, it's just some mikus and dj max when that comes out on PS4.
Consider deresute and/or love live, if you have an android or ios phone.
See reddit /r/SchoolIdolFestival and /r/StarlightStage

What headphones? I've been eyeing the hd598 but someone told me they're memephones.

...

Does sony even produce good headphones? I've never seen anyone recommend anything from them.

When you're old enough to spend 200 on headphones you're old enough to grow out of Linkin Bizkit

>got recommended the Brainwavz HM5
>looks pretty good, original price not that expensive
>go look at local and online shops for it
>costs roughly $350 in local currency
>mfw

Find a good pair of iems and plug them into the bottom of your controller.

I use a pair of hd600's and a fulla 2 amp, then connect them with a simple audio jack. That's probably not what you had in mind though. The fulla 2 is fairly cheap in america if you already have half decent headphones though.

Post your V6s

Is this bait? The MDR V6 has being an industry standard for almost 30 years, it also has being one of the most common recommendations here on Sup Forums since before the first /hpg/.

MDR-V6 and MDR-7506 are highly regarded and frequently recommended here. MA-900 is a discontinued model which is liked and somewhat sought after second hand.

>meme
Why not just ignore everyone who uses that word to describe anything? It's not like they are providing you with information.

HD 598 is a neutral-ish open back headphone.

So where do you guys get your high quality audio files?

these are pretty lit

So close on pulling the trigger on the beyerdynamic dt 990 premiums with an SMSL m3 mini amp, is this good or are there any reccommendations?

I want to start having more and more headphones but not many amps, my absolute price limit of amp and headphone combined is 300 bongs. Thanks in advance

Should I pull the trigger on pic related?

Redpill me on the AKG K845

They are so shit, they literally have to put animu girls in the box to sell them.

You get the girl aswell?

They are red like the pills.

She gets to be your waifu until warranty expires

But she's one of the worst girls in the game

Tough luck, then. Buy another brand.

HD599 is better and probably within budget.

Avoid HD598cs, as that's an entirely different closed headphone leeching on the reputation of the open version.

I mean you can cheat on the girls, so she could technically be my side bitch? But that still doesn't really answer my question on how they are.

Wireless K545, which is basically the K550, but less bulky.
The leak/fit issue might be worse on the 545 than 550. At least it isn't as large.

would you say 598cs are worth it for $90? I got them right now and I like how they look and are comfy.

No. Maybe for $24

She's so ugly

What would you suggest instead for closed? I'm willing to go for 599s if the 598c is really shit at being closed.

Don't bully the neet.

any plug&play usb dac will work with it (volume control works from the sidebar)
if you already have a hdmi receiver you can use the headphone output of that
there's also optical on the old ps4 model (not on the slim)
maybe you can try your tv's output first if it's lag free

ps4 controller jack is a shit

Anyone else have these? what are your thoughts? I wish the attachment method was a little better thought out, otherwise, they sound amazing

What am I in for?

A big waste of money and a lot of regret

>$199.99
For what reason.

They're not bad at all, that's probably just the same user in every thread that's always recommending his precious HD380 while shit talking the 598 Cs. For $90 they're a good choice.

rtings.com/headphones/reviews/sennheiser/hd-598-cs

How durable are Beyerdynamic headphones? They look kinda cheaply made, so I'm not sure they'll survive long.

but it has good reviews

From what I've heard about it, a slightly improved 1more triple driver

Oh that's assuring. I saw the HD380s too but goddamn I can't get over how fugly they look. I also don't mind they leak that much, it's just with fully open it would have been unbearable with my roommate.

ATH-M50

I want a nice IEM with a microphone preferably. Are detachable cables a must? I've had 2 v-moda in the past that broke. I don't want to spend a lot of money on something that will break.
Currently have apple earbuds.

Sony makes the perfect headphone.

Maybe I'll buy the ATH IEM next time I'm in Japan. So overpriced here.

Stop being a fag and buy youself some speakers.

I'm sure these guys writing Amazon reviews are true experts and like what you like. Enjoy them, if you can.

Can't a man have both?

When they put the sixth driver in it will be a nice upgrade too.

Speakers are for numales in midlife crisis who think setting up the "perfect" audio room will make their lives seem less empty, then end up with a 20:1 ratio of posting photos of their setup on audiophile forums to actually listening to music.

Headphones are for people who actually enjoy audio.

I tried HD650 on Xbox One gamepad and they were too quiet.

>amp+dac more expensive than headphones

>headband on 10
Damn, that's quite the head you must have!

used LCD-2's or monolith m1060s

I decided to wait for my paycheck to come in before I bought a pair of DT770s. They were $160 on Amazon last night before I went to bed and now they are over $200. Does the price of DT770s normally fluctuate like this?

what the

LCD-2 would not be Comfort Level: high

the animals at customs ripped it apart

T U B E M E M E

Do you guys recommend gaming headsets? As in with a microphone?

All the prices on Amazon fluctuate like that.

Amazon's retarded like that

Beyerdynamics MMX 300

Try private mode

is there anything under 100$ that is even remotely worth it?

Creative Aurvana Air Active Clip-on Earphones, Marshall Mode, 1MORE Triple Driver. Which one should I buy in terms durability and sound quality?

Ignore this sennshill, they are a bad value and sound awful. Buy shure 440 instead

He350 and sph9500 come close. I have some k240s on the way so I'll check them out and post the unboxing on here like always

Is the battery dead? Or is this Sansa Clip fucked beyond repair? :(

>Magni Uber 2 w/ Fiio E10K as DAC

E10k doesn't have line outs for the DAC only right?

what headphones buy?

XPT100, CB-1, M40x, Takstar 2050, SHP9500, 668b, CAL.

Plenty are.
Lots of stuff

Hd600

ATH m50x. Don't listen to faggots who say they are overhyped. It's like the jealous ugly girls of that one beautiful girl at school.

>Hd600

less $

good, thanks

If you got a big head m8 get different pads for it, that is if your planning to sit for 3+ hours.

k612 if anime

Here's what you get.

>open back
>anime
if you live alone sure

Are the DT 990 edition worth it over the pro version? They're 20€ more.

>anime is the loser hobby meme
Give it a rest will you. Anime posters are having more sex than you nowadays.

>Hiding your powerlevel

>strawman
No, more about the lewd sounds everyone will be hearing.

At least, from what I watch.

If you want a lighter clamp, sure.

What the fuck. How does this make any sense. An amp designed for 12VA shouldn't operate correctly with higher voltages

Are the pro ones uncomfortable to wear? I mean they're made in germany, so they are probably made for tiny heads.
