Language is a gateway to culture. Gates exist to keep foriegn elements out. Japan needs to destroy katakana and just write everything foreign in romanji as to make as large a disconnect as possible. Less anime starts having diversity quotas as demanded by the west.

They need to ditch on Kun-yomi. Everything else about Kanji is fine and in fact is superior to english or other standardized alphabets.

Kanji are hard to learn and to produce, therefore they act as a conservative balance.
家内, the word for wife being made up of the kanji "inside" and "house" is a reminder of the proper roles in society.
