This thread is for the discussion of the possible replacements for Nyaa.se
News >Thanks to the new Uk streaming laws nyaa is taken down by his founder. No database was left. >Some anons in the last thread actually believed that you could put a bitcoin miner inside a .mkv or a magnet. Everyone went nuts. It was confirmed that it was just a stupid bait.
Sources >nyaa.pantsu.cat (db is up to date with nyaa) >sukebei.pantsu.cat (db is from 11-10-16) >nyaarchive.moe (hosted on a russian website, the db is most updated one and it has descriptions)
They removed their application page that said "check back later", which I can only assume means they will never have applications again.
Carter Wood
I'm not a gofag so I wouldn't know, but reading your code at >github.com/ewhal/nyaa/blob/master/router/rssHandler.go it seems you have some hardcoded url values pointing to your site. Haven't checked the rest. Shouldn't it take the base url somewhere in the config, or current path ?
Jason Sanchez
>Nyanko Edition. Rou is best Nyanko!
Ian White
>somewhere in the config, or current path It wouldn't even be needed with relative paths
Jack Thomas
You need to get an invite.
Logan James
I don't have friends.
Liam Moore
Private trackers are against the base principle of file sharing by definition. Fuck them and fuck you.
Adam Gray
join other trackers and earn it then. it's worth it :^)
Carson Carter
Friendly reminder to the Sup Forums friends, check out our other threads while you're here. We are in need of new users rather badly.
Kayden Watson
We know you are just Sup Forums shopping center and helpdesk nowadays Sup Forums. Fuck you
t. Sup Forums :3
Samuel Price
but i'm a dumdum.
Jeremiah Cox
Well if we had some posters who haven't been here for damn near a decade making threads and asking questions maybe the quality of discussion would actually go up. Some of the best technical discussion these days shows up in threads with OPs that read "HAHAHAHAH RYZEN HAHHAHAHA". People with something interesting to say will read your idiocy and hopefully be so triggered that they just have to respond. I really don't care. Go ask a question and become less dumb.
Friendly reminder that the "glory days" of most boards were back when we were infested with 15 year olds spamming desu and ORLY owls.
Adam Bailey
I am, once I get enough shit off it I'm spreading it.
Adrian Allen
This service seems an awful slow, getting ~3mbit/s. Should throw a torrent out for this
Juan Morales
I'm as casual as it gets when it comes to anime. I get excited for and watch dragon ball super every saturday night. Enlighten me as to why horriblesubs isn't enough please. Any time I want to watch a show I just go there and they have it, like last night I downloaded the first episode of re:zero and they had it and it was seeded well.
Cooper Garcia
Because you're in Sup Forums. Nothing less than original-rips with 4mbit/s flac is satisfactory.
Brody Butler
HS is enough if you're just a casual watcher and won't notice the mistakes. HS nowadays is the only option for a lot of shows regardless since fansubbing is dying/dead.
Noah Roberts
HS releases are ripped off CR and have really low bitrate, if you're okay with your anime looking like shit, go right ahead.
Aaron Lewis
If the nigga cared about quality he'd just wait for BD releases. He clearly does not.
Lincoln Perry
HS 720p rips are fine. Grab some others group rip and compare.
Aaron Price
>Enlighten me as to why horriblesubs isn't enough please.
8-bit anime has terrible color banding
Luke Edwards
>Friendly reminder that the "glory days" of most boards were back when we were infested with 15 year olds spamming desu and ORLY owls.
Joseph Foster
what groups would you recommend?
Jonathan Cook
I simply was not aware that there was higher quality anime. I thought the only source was TV in japan which I don't imagine is very high quality. Where are these sources with flac audio coming from? I know it doesn't look perfect but where the fuck do people get higher quality shit from unless you wait for a blu-ray or something
Camden Morris
>8-bit anime has terrible color banding Nice meme. Let me remind you that 99% users have 8 bit monitor. Go away kukchikirukia fag.
Brayden Wright
Any will do. Sort by seeds and try first most popular after HS.
Connor Miller
>unless you wait for a blu-ray or something
if the Sup Forums threads are good, it's worth to watch HS just to fit in and then download the BDs
otherwise if the anime is old and the BD is out, I get those.
but I would never reccomend to "just live with HS" to anyone
Julian Robinson
Excite.
Jose Murphy
Make a bloody torrent, this will take like half a year of constant download
Alexander Morris
>Let me remind you that 99% users have 8 bit monitor.
that has nothing to do with it.
William Fisher
what is this?
Julian Ramirez
Who has the best releases then?
Caleb Morgan
I don't know, I download BDrips
Michael Hall
I see. Once again, am casual and so I don't participate in Sup Forums outside of the dragon ball threads. So, as it stands, there is no publically accessible source for blu-ray rips of anime and that is what this thread is trying to remedy?
Luke Scott
HS 1080p Bitrate is better than 720p TV releases.
Ryder Perry
>So, as it stands, there is no publically accessible source for blu-ray rips of anime and that is what this thread is trying to remedy?
there are some like DameDesuYo does BDs and put them up for XDCC
but there is no (more) a central place to collect all the BDs with fansubs in a single place for torrents.
Xavier Fisher
>Why horriblesubs isn't enough On not-so-rare occasions, you will run into these.
Aaron Garcia
Nigga every sub group uses 8-bit sources for their rips anyway.
Grayson Gonzalez
I have been but I feel lost a lot but I feel I should try and learn at least some basic shit
Aiden Morgan
that is better than a correct translation though
Camden Richardson
>No subs for OP/ED
This is the biggest crime of all
Leo Bennett
well you usually thank god for the food and shes a demon so...
Jason Mitchell
Jdownloader updated and works with it now
Sebastian Bailey
>I'm as casual as it gets when it comes to anime I see that. Well, besides anime exist plenty of other stuff that was lost when nyaa went *puff* and disappeared without notice:
Besides, horrible sups is web rips of western media services, there're anime series that don't get licensed on these sites and cannot be found on horriblesubs, also BD releases are the same, horriblesubs doesn't release BD/DVD-related stuff. I recommend you lurk more on and to better understand.
Xavier Smith
The orly owl is so cute. They should make a comeback.
Zachary Clark
I rarely watch at subs anyway. By the way other honorable sub groups often make absolutely retarded mistakes in their translations too.
Julian Flores
So is this site going to effectively just act as a backup for whatever site becomes the main site like nyaa was?
Owen Hall
How do I make a mirror of a website? I want to be on the front lines when the next big one goes down
Ethan Roberts
just right click and press copy
Julian Phillips
Fuck off I need serious answer you faggot.
Isaiah Stewart
HTTrack would propably be your best bet
Jacob Kelly
wget, or make a script in any language to scrape relevant information and insert in your own database
Christian Bell
If you want to see who subbed an anime and the source check out anidb.
Jordan Lee
Go to and I will personally answer anything so you can join the other discussions. If you want a computer, like headphones, keyboards, are interested in programming, etc we have a thread for you! Thank you. I'm going to go try and find a high quality version of re:zero episode 1b and compare it to the one I downloaded last night. I like the girl in episode one, she's really cute, so I'm going to watch more episodes anyway.
Easton Nelson
Why recreate the wheel when you have ready tools like for the job?
Austin Reed
>check out our other threads while you're here. Did that, they're shit
Robert Rivera
You need to create a framework and then make scripts to regularly check if new stuff is released, you can browse the html structure of the target website and search for ids for example, then use them as complement to your framework. Some sites don't use ids but, most of them use ids for making the site webdevs' lives easier.

So subscribers have to be running at the moment of publishing to find it out or can they run at a later time and get all the publications since the last time they were running?
Josiah Nguyen
I tried httrack on the pantsu nyaa but it can't get past page 10 and the search does not work. I'm not home right now but I'll post my command when I get back later, probably in a future /nrg/
Julian Wood
>I like the girl in episode one she's a sweet girl, after the anime you should read the light novel, I bet you'll like it.
William Anderson
Because it's fun, you might learn something new and besides, we are mostly a bunch of neets that waste our time on a chinese cartoon image board, so don't tell me your time is oh so precious.
Jeremiah Jenkins
Nutch, Scrapy, Heritrix.
Harder to use but a lot more poweful than wget, httrack and so on.
William Walker
Are you looking to simply mirror the whole site or to scrape the data in said site to browse some other way?
For the first, httrack will simply grab all the HTML, of course you'll have to take care of redundancy and search will not work.
I think the easiest way would be to scrap the data, save to a database with the same structure as the one used by pantsu and then run your own pantsuit locally with that database.
That will also use less disk since you are not storing the whole HTML over and over.
Charles Walker
why would they? someone recovered their website and even released the code online, they didn't have to lift a finger, they're probably already working on their own customization of pantsu's project.
Christian Cox
>>why would they?
Control.
Adrian Evans
Emilia A SHIT
Mason Rogers
I'm thinking of scraping some boorus too, I think one recently did and resurrected but they removed all NSFW pics.
I'll pull the images, store them, add a json meta file for the tags and some web interface to load them, then add to ipfs or something
Aaron Wright
Pantsu admin, will you make a pr for rutorrent to change the nyaa search functionality with nyaapantsu?
Thomas Jenkins
>>I'm thinking of scraping some boorus too iirc someone already wrote good scrapers for those.
William Sanders
See if you want to take the plunge.
OTOH thats about what you need to more generally mirror pages.
Carter Russell
A night mode theme was just merged on Github, it probably will be available on nyaa.pantsu.cat as soon as PantsuDev wakes up.
Brandon Rodriguez
The best hosting country is i2p.
Bentley Powell
>private db Same thing as nyaa, kat and whatcd will happen again.
Jaxon Nelson
>view.sqlite3 >397 mb scary
Ethan Peterson
Neat.
Ryder Lewis
The Hydrus community has tag scrapers and Hydrus itself can basically do booru.
Angel Hill
Oh nice, I'll look for those then.
David Flores
This, if you're watching while it's still on air you kinda have to go with HS. Anything older you always pick BD's.
Jordan Morgan
looking really good
Blake Baker
Wow, that looks really really nice. Great taste in colors and fonts.
Robert Watson
See Maybe you can save the image material & comments, but what is there is already much of the essence. Tags & usable client.
Dominic Edwards
ETA on when we can start adding new shit to the DB?
Justin Cox
nyaarchive is kinda laggy today especially sukebei, I guess all the scrapers are raping the bandwidth.
