I7-7700k heats up without even overclocking

>i7-7700k heats up without even overclocking
>Intel responds that it's cool and just don't overclocking your K processors

God damn you all got cucked

why even overclock?
this isn't amd where you have to go 20% OC just to open fuckin chrome, shit works fine out of the box

>Pays 40 extra smackers for a K chip
>"Why when overclock?"

>Buyer's remorse
How is this still a thing when people can read reviews?

K models have higher base clocks TBF

My 5.3 ghz 7700k sits between 60-70 degrees at most

Ladies and gentlemen this is the average Intel buyer.

housefire

just wait for coffee lake

Sure Schlomo, that is after a delid job, installing a large ass radiator, and using large ass fans that run at 100% all the time.

The real issue was motherboard auto-voltage going crazy
Benchmark validation and timestamp or GTFO

Poo in the loo

>tfw summoned a fire golem after delidding my 7700k and overclocking it to 5.4Ghz

noooooooo

its not fair bros, i dont have a silver sword to fight it

wtf do i do before it burns down my house?

>buy overclock model
>don't overclock

AIO coller. And yes, I did delid it, but it took 10 minutes. Worth every penny

Throw a thermi outside and hope it chases after it.

This is the saddest shilling I've ever seen, bar none.

>having to risk destruction to your processor in the first place just because intel wanted to save a few cents

My cpu is running 1.3 ghz higher than amshit's $600 flagship

where do i get one of those?

Probably not even his. "I have an i7-7700K that hits 5.3 GHz" seems to be a pretty common lie.

You wanna learn the secret of longer bibelines?

t. corelet

Go away IMG_xxxx

pay extra for K
Risk to destroy your cpu and avoid warranty

good goy

fuck, you are a living meme.

Go away 1xxxxxxxrandom numbers.jpg

>Muh GIGGAHURCZ
It is brescott all over again

my old 2500k still hits 5.1 ghz while never exeding 60C on a cheap ass 120mm aio
because in 2011 intel was still inovating

Nobody actually believes you have an i7-7700K, let alone one running at 5.3 GHz. You probably own a Pentium 4 your dad gave you from work.

LONGER BIBELINE :-------DDDDDD

I told you not everyone is a poor indian. Start by pooing in loo, maybe one day of your cheap indian life you will afford a 7700k

>post-Itanic Intel
>innovating
Nah.

Please stop taking other's images and claiming them as your own, you sad little sack of shit. archive.rebeccablacktech.com/g/thread/60240247/#q60242108

Buy a 7700k you will get 5.3ghz if you're lucky 100% stable

That was the last thread you shitted you dumb indian

>using the stock cooler

a 7700k at 4.9-5.3 GHz is MUCH faster than your 2500k and your cooler should be fine

Use an AIO and overclock it to 5.3. If it doesn't work delid it, it takes 10 minutes even if you've never done before. If it's not stable try 5.2 I guarantee it will work

yeah goyim

why should i?
ive got good enugh silngle core performance for muhgaymes cause intell has been sitting on their ass the lasst 5 years and if i needed better multi threaddet performance id buy some ryzen

I love how the shills keep bumping the "average" 7700K overclock up and up as its reputation tanks. First they could all do 5GHz, then 5.1GHz and now it's 5.3GHz. Can't wait to buy my 6GHz guaranteed 7700K next month!

almost all of them can do AT LEAST 4.9 GHz

Watch the posts ITT you dumb shitjeet

>yfw guaranteed 4.0-4.1 ghz on Rypoo
Much better!

>Being an actual cuck

At least ask Intel to solder the IHS, it's only a a few cents on production

Ebay, they give them out for free because they might get raided for abnormal kWh spikes

unlike amd, intel has a sense of price/performance and turning a profit, it's more than a few cents, and overclocking enthusiasts can just delid if they need the extra 10 degrees C

>verclocking enthusiasts can just pay extra money, void their warranty, and potentially damage their CPUif they need the extra 10 degrees C

Face it, Intel's business tactics are disgraceful and you should be ashamed for supporting them.

amd is free to compete with intel. zen 2 when?

Q1

>intel has a sense of price/performance and turning a pofit
loving every laugh

The reason Intel keeps getting away with it though is because AMD failed to put up any comepetition for the last 7 years

If AMD would release a CPU with prober TIM that oc's at least to 4.5 ghz I would buy it in a heartbeat.

4.1 ghz is too low though, many games still prefer high IPC performance and for that you need higher clocks.

Who knows, maybe with Zen +

you're retarded

>you need higher clocks to achiever higher Instructions per Clock
Sup Forumseddit get the fuck outta here.

not really, i'm not running an intel chip

>one person posting about one processor with no validation link or stress test data to back it up
>doesn't even take a screenshot because it's actually so unstable

Are you implying clock speed does not affect IPC?

Are you seriously this fucking retarded?

clock speed does not affect ipc
instructions
per
clock

it affects raw peformance, but clock speed has no relation to the amount of instructions per clock
IPC stays the same whether you're running at 1GHz or 5GHz

You are tech illiterate

>If AMD would release a CPU with prober TIM that oc's at least to 4.5 ghz I would buy it in a heartbeat.
Ryzen is soldered. The problem isn't the thermals, it's the voltage Ryzen needs to be stable at high clocks.

>4.1 ghz is too low though, many games still prefer high IPC performance and for that you need higher clocks.
You're an idiot who doesn't know what IPC means, please go kill yourself.

Stop posting.
It's physically painful reading this.

read the content of your image
>instructions per second
are not the same thing as
>instructions per clock

Stay mad Poojeet, Ryzen right now is trash for gaming, face it

>instructions per second

>buy i7-7700K
>buy delid kit
>buy watercooling AIO
>buy expensive motherboard
>try to OC to 5 GHz
>lose the silicon lottery

FUCKING GAMESTOP.

Reminder to report shitposting.

You're a lying, retarded shill, and your mother is ashamed of you.

Go cry to Adoredtv

It's no wonder that one who watches youtube celebritieslacks fundamental IC knowledge

it's not as good as intel's offerings in games that depend on single-thread performance, sure, but saying it's trash is just some dumb ass shit since the difference barely exceeds 10% in modern games

and that's considering Kaby Lake is an architecture that's been refined step by step since Pentium 3 days, which is nearing its limit (fucking Kaby Lake-X that's 4c/8t at 112 WATTS)

on the other end, Ryzen is AMD's first new big tech that'll only get better with newer revisions and catch up very quickly

You should refrain from opining on a topic when you're ignorant about it. It actually makes you look like a retard.

And no, a CPU's IPC (instructions per clock) does not depend on the clock frequency.

Does it really matter that I got a definition wrong?

The point I was trying to make was that clock speed matters and it clearly does

>does it matter if I misuse words I don't understand if it all makes sense in my mind?

Yes.

>does it matter that I'm retarded

Yes, I'm reporting you now.
It's unpleasant talking to the disabled.

it does matter if you're trying to have a sensible discussion

Well, it definitely shows that you're too ignorant to talk about these matters, so yes.

You sound like upset autists, and that's why you are avoiding the actual argument.

>Ryzen is AMD's first new big tech that'll only get better with newer revisions and catch up very quickly

Well again, that's what I hope. Until that time, I can spend my money better somewhere else

inb4 I was only pretending

Not really, I already admitted I got the definition wrong.

The point still stands though, clockspeed matters in most games, and Ryzen clockspeeds are low compared to the competitors offerings.

cont.
>sell delided cpu forr $20 more as delided extreme oc edition
>buy another ticket in silicon lottery
>if loose again, repeat

>the more u gigahurrz da better cpu is :-D

It doesn't matter. Intel has higher IPC and clocks. Poozen only has MOAR COARZ

>Clock speed doesn't matter :D

>intel has higher IPC
untrue
wccftech.com/amd-ryzen-1700x-benchmarks-leaked-beats-kaby-lake-ipc/

>Until that time, I can spend my money better somewhere else
Yeah, like buying i7-7700k, an expensive OC board, an expensive cooler, delid kit, and then don't OC it because Intel can't fix temperature spikes on a fucking premium part.

>processor heats up

wow

That sounds incredibly laborious and slow though.

Nice memes

>being this desperate

but if clock speed doesn't matter then why is that relevant?

Nice memes kid

>maybe if I repeat it enough times it will become true
gotta love that persistence

>maybe if I greentext something and post a funny picture with it people will think I have an actual argument!
Ok, kid

Go away 14xxxxxx.jpg

Just delid you poor fag.

It's called a unix timestamp.

>don't post pictures on an imageboard!

i love how things have just switched tables
