AHD has shittier encodes and less content in general.

HDB is better in literally every single aspect EXCEPT remuxes. AHD is the single best source of remuxes on the internet. If you want any other HD content then HDB serves you better. That being said, AHD actually isn't bad at all, it's got lots of good stuff, it's just that HDB is so good it makes AHD look kind of shit.
