I've been drinking liters upon liters of cold water to survive during the night. It's horrible.
>thunderstorm after days of ridiculous heat
I know it won't last but damn it feels good right now
The wind cools you down
I've heard that global warming could change the direction of the Gulf Stream making it go away from Iceland which would make Reykjavík's temperature identicaL to Iqaluit's, and since Iqaluit is above the tred line Iceland's trees would probably all die.
Fug
Tree line*
Isn't there just one place on Iceland that has any trees at all?
I remember I saw some documentary about it.
It's hot in this season, but it's possible in Spain, Turkey, and Japan.
How the hell can a 13° have any presence of sun?
There are a few places with trees. Iceland is 25% lowland (the coast) and 75% highland (the interior). The highland has pretty much no vegetation, it's just desert and glaciers. When the norse arrived in the late 800s 25% (the entire lowland) was forested, and the norse started living in Iceland like they were still in Norway, cutting the trees for wood and farmland, but Iceland's nature is more fragile than Norway's because it is a volcanic island, which is why Iceland today is only 1% forest.
Right.
Damn Vikings :^)
don't lie nordics, there's no place above 30ºC in your lands right now
