Another site like Nyaa >>> nyoo.moe/

Cartel detected.

>tfw looking for a CG set that released in the past 3 months but its not on sukabei because it was released this year

sadpanda?

>Implying that I'm that fag
Fuck off.

>no fap/sukebei

Fuck off.

They are still doing the site, isn't finished yet. Maybe they add sukebei as well.

Unless HS jumps on board none of these are going to be viable long term.

does searching in japanese not work?

>viable long term...
somehow distributed. it has to be.

More mirrors is always a good thing. If the providers regularly provide db backups, anons should store them away.

Didn't expect it to go as far as uploading. Thought it was just going to be purely an archive. Truly God's work.

I used to, I think the switch to PostgreSQL broke some of the searching functionality.
Others have reported that it's case-sensitive now too...

of course :)

Made a download page for the local client with instructions and such, you can use just that for the next op:
yanju.moe/nyanner/

I think GNUnet has real potential. It just needs a better setup and install process for distros besides Debian. Since GNUnet has a CLI interface it shouldn't be to hard to automate downloading using some regex and gnunet-search.

>Megumin
Man of taste.

Sup Forums absolutely BTFO

only problem i see right now would be the file size not being displayed/converted correctly

>[35m(C:/Users/*me*/go/src/github.com/ewhal/nyaa/service/torrent/torrent.go:74)[0m
[33m[2017-05-07 21:05:34][0m [31;1m sql: Scan error on column index 9: converting driver.Value type []uint8 ("394.1 MiB") to a int64: invalid syntax

Fix sukebei's upload!

Download a new revision of the db

nothing is broken.
it's there but with 0 functionality until ther stuff gets done like being able to report stuff

*scrapes ur feeds*
Pssh, nothing personnel kid

leme see... i was using the 83 one in my screen, ima get 89 real quick

Am I gonna need to keep redownloading any files once pantsu goes live officially? or will it just work with these txt files?

>duck green poop color
no thanks

still works with 89, but ya, file size still fucked up

>[35m(C:/Users/*me*/go/src/github.com/ewhal/nyaa/service/torrent/torrent.go:80)[0m

thats night mode, it doesn't have to be like this forever, you know :)

why the fuck would anyone spend resources on this

just use oppaitime and animebytes so they'll get better and better with more active users

Give me an invite to AB then.

Shut the fuck up nerd.

email?

It's beautiful, isn't it?

How long before we get a new tracker so we know how many seeds are around? Is it possible to switch old Nyaa tracker to the new one?

How long before we can see new uploads from subbing/ripping groups?

What does orange/green color background of the titles mean?

maybe because people cant get invites to them

83? 89? What?
The database comes in a .zip file with an empty text file named after the revision, you need at least v6 for file sizes to work.

>lol why don't millions of nyaa users use muh 20k cap private tracker

Nobody got fired for choosing megumin.

Ideally the client will be able to provide some way to download and update the database. Of course it will be either decentralized or use one my servers bandwidth, won't just leech pantsu's bandwidth.

>tfw you realize you're retarded
u know sometimes i don't read the whole thing :P

i thought you meant a new revision of nyaa, not the db itself

got a newer version and it's indeed working now!

...

>How long before we get a new tracker?
Tracker scraping is a planned feature, priorities are elsewhere right now.
>Is it possible to switch old Nyaa tracker to the new one?
Not unless someone manages to buy the nyaatorrents.info domain when it expires.
>How long before we can see new uploads
Uploads will work soon™, but it depends on whether people actually upload to pantsunyaa.
Even if not PantsuDev plans to scrape e.g. HorribleSubs and add their torrents automatically if they don't do it themselves.
>What does orange/green color mean?
orange: Remakes (usually re-encodes)
green: was uploaded by "trusted" user

>check out anidex's chat
>they're doing bug reports on a public piratepad
why

The magnets links already include a bunch of trackers, it's just a matter of plugging in an udp scraper like other torrent websites do

How about just asking users to do change to HOSTS file?

Here's a list of reasons why this is a horrible idea:
* You won't reach every seeder with this news
* Normies don't know how to edit their hosts
* Some environments don't allow you to do this
* Many people will be like "meh"

tl;dr no

I think some clients do check against DNS records to prevent DDoS
bittorrent.org/beps/bep_0034.html

Which one of the is going to be the "official" replacement?

[user@anon Nyanner]$ java ./Nyanner.jar
Error: Could not find or load main class ..Nyanner.jar

What am I doing wrong?

java -jar ./Nyanner.jar

no trackers.
At best track how often a magnet link is clicked to estimate how many people have that torrent.
Trackers add needless single point of failure.

Presumably the one chosen by the larger groups such as HorribleSubs.

Is the decentralisation project seperate from ewhal/nyaa?

The one that gets more traction.

Wait for HS and the cartel to decide i suppose.

Then everyone will flock there. Something will stick eventually.

go die in a fire.

the one that most users chose.
Probably dependent on how easy to use and how many people upload stuff to.

dev should make pantsu like bakabt was when it was open to public.

I just got this from a WHOIS of nyaatorrents.info:
whois.domaintools.com/nyaatorrents.info

Can somebody confirm that the admin of nyaa is a german?

Don't get all triggered. HS is undeniably one of the most popular groups, so it's not too farfetched to think smaller groups would start uploading there because of them.

serioustubes used to host nyaa, domain was registered anonymously through them

[user@anon Nyanner]$ java -jar ./Nyanner.jar
Error: Could not find or load main class nyanner.Nyanner

Don't know if it matters, but:
[user@anon Nyanner]$ java -version
openjdk version "1.8.0_121"
OpenJDK Runtime Environment (build 1.8.0_121-b13)
OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM (build 25.121-b13, mixed mode)

That's just the contact data of the registrar, meaning the nyaa admin made use of the whois privacy service.

alternatively if everyone but HS starts using pantsu, it will be HS stat stops being relevant

Exactly this, they'll want to have people downloading whatever they upload. It's obvious that which ever site HS chooses is going to have more traffic and smaller groups will won't bother wasting their time uploading to a slower moving site

>HS
>becoming irrelevant
Never. Fansubbing is dying/dead.

>Fansubbing for new shows is dying/dead.
Fixed

You might be missing openjfx

>Don't get all triggered. HS is undeniably one of the most popular groups, so it's not too farfetched to think smaller groups would start uploading there because of them.
HS isn't a sub group. What they do is rip video and subs from Crunchyroll, Funimation and other sources to repackage them as downloadable files. They're only the "biggest" group releasing anime downloads in the sense that there aren't any big sub groups anymore. It's like how currently, Hillary Clinton is the leader of the Democratic Party, even though all she apparently wants to do is hike through the woods of Maine, away from Trump, Bernie and "the emails."

That said, HS picking a new torrent website would be tacit approval for everyone else to start uploading there, but privately, I hope that they will choose more than one. So far, I've seen four apparent replacements and any one of them could end up being chosen... btw, let me know if I'm missing any:

nyaa.pantsu.cat/
nyaarchive.moe/
nyaa.girlish.moe
nyoo.moe/

The third link?

girlish is just a clone of pantsu though, and nyaarchive doesn't have uploading at all.

Where the fuck did I say they're subbing their material? I just said they're a group. I know they're rippers, that doesn't make them any less of a collective. Sorry for not being overly specific on something that I thought was common knowledge.

>fansubbing for new shows is dying/dead, and since old shows are (being optimistic) 1% of the traffic, and taking into account some old show fansubbing is done as an aftertought by the new shows groups, fansub is dying/dead
HS will sadly be the one to decide which torrent becomes the mainstream.
That doesn't mean nyaapantsu can't become the Sup Forums torrent though, and Sup Forums can move quite a bit of the anime weeb scene too, it's basically the center of the western anime fangroups, every other group either gravitates leeching off of it, or see themselves forced to constantly lurk it (like herkz does).

Just put the CSS from the last one on the others and you have a winner

The last one is a winner already. The search is significantly faster than all three above it.

Is there a problem with the search function on nyaa pantsu?

I'm only getting blank pages on some searches

>nyoo.moe/
Sorry Sup Forums but this one is better.

It's case sensitive.

Yes. It's fucked, Jim. Use one of the other sites listed in: if you want to actually search for anything.

Go away herkz

>all these shills putting down NyaaPantsu just 'cause its search is case-sensitive
smhtbhfam

The lack of eroge makes me sad.

so what exactly killed nyaa and how do you know it will not happen again?

>which torrent becomes the mainstream
they use every tracker under the sun. as it should be. Sure indexer is nice ... but centralised is fun for a while till the owner runs, as we all have seen.

like see a random magnet from HS
One Piece - 787 [720p] magnet:?xt=urn:btih:QSK44NF664F3MFJBC7GGXHORJZZHCAGS&tr=udp://tracker.coppersurfer.tk:6969/announce&tr=udp://tracker.internetwarriors.net:1337/announce&tr=udp://tracker.leechers-paradise.org:6969/announce&tr=tracker.internetwarriors.net:1337/announce&tr=udp://tracker.opentrackr.org:1337/announce&tr=http://tracker.opentrackr.org:1337/announce&tr=udp://tracker.zer0day.to:1337/announce&tr=udp://tracker.pirateparty.gr:6969/announce&tr=http://explodie.org:6969/announce&tr=http://p4p.arenabg.com:1337/announce&tr=http://mgtracker.org:6969/announce

Do you have a reading deficiency?

nyoo.moe/faq

a.How are we recovering?

There is effort on nyaa.pantsu.cat as well as on our domain. We have started off with the software hosted at github.com/ewhal/nyaa/issues but we are modifying it heavily to our own liking. Restoration of almost full Nyaa functionality is in progress on both ends.

To be fair switching to Postgres before testing these things was a mistake.
With sqlite the site would 502 more often cos performance but at least search would work nicely...

The guy behind it got paranoid and pulled it down due to a new EU ruling.

sometimes

>t h
I didn't know that, it should be noted somewhere on the FAQ, most people don't know about this

>pushing this website as the "Sup Forums approved nyaa replacement" even though it's the worst of the four total websites that are trying to do this
>search function doesn't even work
>constantly get 502's
>the majority of the time spent in these threads spent on brainstorming how to fit another set of panties into the logo, which is already done up in a panties color scheme
>implying you people aren't doing the meme cartel's work for them, for all intents and purposes (their goal is to kill anime)

from one day to the next? and he deleted everything?

The thing is that you have no way of knowing, before searching in every case combination available, whether the torrent you're searching for is in Regular Style Caps, or all lowercase, or ALL CAPS, or some other combination. That is, if the site will even let you search multiple times without going down before you're finished.

It is still better than anidex

seriously, go look at it.

Yup, it's all gone. I don't even think the ruling effected him, he just got paranoid.

In terms of audio, lossless or not, are these sites expecting new rips all of a sudden?

youd think he got over the paranoid phase after a while, i mean how long has that site been running. weird decision.

I think that it shouldn't be case sensitive, it is really putting it behind the other alternatives such as nyaarchive and the only reason nyoo isn't the best is the lack of sukebei
