I recently got a seedbox because I couldn't maintain ratio with my current connection. I'm a little conflicted now. It's so fucking luxurious, it's just $5 and I don't have to worry about ratio at all, I don't have to keep my client up, and I can turn my computer off when I sleep. I feel all those concerns cost me more than the money I'm paying for the seedbox.
But on the other hand, I'm literally paying to pirate and I might never be able to quit when I know how easy life is with a seedbox. 10 years from now, I'll have spent hundreds of dollars just to inflate a counter on a site. Maybe I can tell myself that since $5 a month is $60 a year, it's worth it as long as it gives me access to $60 worth of content that I wouldn't otherwise be able to torrent. Or maybe I can imagine it gives me insurance against those ridiculous fines you can get if you get caught, which would be a bargain if it actually works that way. But it's all justification after the fact.
I'm also really tempted to upgrade. 500GB would be so much nicer than my current 250GB. But even 500 wouldn't be enough.

What's the advantage of dedicated? I'm hardly an expert. I just googled and impulsively went for the first cheap unmetered one I saw, which was evohost. Probably wasn't the best choice, since they have some issues with the RSS plugin, so I can't even use it to fetch the newest episodes on AB as soon as they're released. Submitted a ticket 4 days ago, but not holding my breath. Oh, and not sure why I said $5, it's €5.
