In Australia, it requires for people to sit the GAMSAT (Graduate Australian Medical School Admissions Test) which is supposed to be quite hard. The best thing about that is it doesn't discriminate; if you've studied for it then you'll get in, if you haven't studied then no dice.

We have something similar but the turn down rates for caucasians and asians are somewhere around 10% for high scoring where as black and hispanic are over 50% for far lower. It's pretty bullshit so i decided to become an EMT instead of putting my self in debt.

Damn, I remembered when I got in a lab from the medicine department and it smelled so bad.
The smell was most likely from the chemicals instead of the body parts themselves, but it was terrible nonetheless.
