That Gnome theme looks looks like some ugly cross between OS X and KDE 4's Oxygen theme.
It's actually kind of nice for a default theme. No one keeps the default theme though
This is supposed to equal 1 right?
>getting triggered by the smiley with the carat nose
According to PEMDAS, yes.
How does the common core math work to equal 16?
They solve it left to right and ignore order of operations.
But that fucks the actual answer up, why is that acceptable?

RPN is the only way to calculate
Ribbons were a mistake. They were arguably an improvement over the toolbar hell in Office, but they just made applications like File Explorer and Paint look cluttered.

Protip, you can do simple arithmetics in the search field of the windows 10 start menu
>1. Parentheses (simplify inside 'em)
>2. Exponents
>3. Multiplication and Division (from left to right)
>4. Addition and Subtraction (from left to right)
16 is correct.
This is not true. PEMDAS is still used in common core, only instead of PEMDAS it looks more like PE (M & D left to right) (A & S left to right). The answer does come out to 16 and your old school math was taught wrong. Just because you've been using it for 30 years doesn't make it more correct.
Applied to real world this is a useless formula
Does it finally follow order of operations
Wrong
Solid case, I stand corrected
someone on windows 10 pls do this
5*5
square root (ans)
post results
...
...
Wrong again
...
Dope, with extra large buttons for extra large people
Mah nigga
So we have 20/5(2+2)
1. 2+2=4 so we get 20/5*4
2. 20/5 so we get 4*4
3. 4*4=16
How is this wrong?
PEMDAS is wrong. multiplication and divisions are equal, and thereby work from left to right.
Each time I press enter it opens the options panel instead of doing the calculation
Ffs macrosoft
It's not wrong; it's just more specific than it needs to be.
i honestly have no idea where PEMDAS stands for. I did learn it another way, all I know is that it is some form of abriviation to rember it.

I don't get this.
We have these ridiculously powerful calculators right on our desktops. Yet all calculator programs you can install on it are absolute garbage.
They all resemble physical toy calculators in some way that don't follow any standard order of operations and where you can't enter complete expressions.
And for some reason it's necessary to add a numpad to the graphical interface even though all digits are present on your keyboard already.. twice.
Can someone explain this shit to me?
Why do GNOME title bars take up 50% of the screen?
pls
PEMDAS is an order of your operations.

Exponentiation
Multiplication
Division

hey what gnome theme is that i would like to know
i want to see it divide by zero
