Offical Sup Forumsuts thread - ryzen edition

no guts thread. post guts - ryzen edition. intel users have to pay a $5 entry fee.

>hurr your led colors don't match
asus aurora software has a chance of killing the led's on the crosshair vi hero atm and asus in their infinite wisdom didn't bother to add rgb color control in the bios. only option is on or off.

Nice LED memes.

Looking forward to more bios updates to get the overclock up.. Just got vrm waterblocks in the mail, bought used. Hope they fit.

What you got in there op? Any overclock?

Nice tubes.

i have a 1800x. got it because i really didn't want to overclock lol. all cores run at 3.7ghz with 4.1ghz boost. if i was on a more limited budget i would have sucked it up and bought a 1700 instead. 1700 is the best price + performance processor on the market in the $300 range imo.

at the moment i'm pretty curious to see if this new may update, once it lands, will allow my gskill flare x 3200 kit run at 3200. right now i'm limited to 2933mhz. have nothing but cold boost issues with 3200. even boot issues where i leave it plugged in, just powered off for to long at 3200.

i am heavily debating selling my 1080 though. i feel like i should due it in the next few weeks before vega lands. either get myself a 580 or the $350 vega. i don't game as heavily i use to and really want an amd gpu to finish the build. i'll probably keep my gsync display and just use it without gsync. seems like there are very little 1440p 144hz freesync displays and the ones i've seen i wasn't impressed. like asus ones.... to many QC issues with them.

My brother of african descent!

I call this the Hotbox. Case is Raijintek Thetis. It's pretty good since it houses an ATX board and is smaller than some ITX or mATX cases

Sticker shit at the side is usually hidden behind the side cover, so they're not really visible during normal use. Idle temps are around 37 °C which could be better, but I guess it's good enough for a $30 CPU cooler.

I'm not too happy with the case though. Current fan setup has barely neutral pressure.

still waiting for good mITX boards and vega.

Ever think to clean it all up? What sort of temps are you getting with that loop?

Super pretty set-up, I'm jealous. What processor do you have and how are the temps with the Noctua?

Looking at your build makes me regret not going with ITX, it just looks so much more effective.

No offense, but for some reason your set up gives me anxiety.

Are all of your hard drives in the basement? How many can you hold? Jealous of that awesome case too.

I am 5820k around 65 on load with 4,5 oc.

>Are all of your hard drives in the basement? How many can you hold?
It can hold 2+2 without adding extra modules to the four slots to the right. The 2.5" slots are in the cable management area and the 3.5" ones are underneath the two intake fans. That part can be opened if you want more ventilation for the HDDs or need to fit in a 360mm radiator. So yeah they're all hidden at least from the picture. (The mobo also has two m.2 slots, one of which is behind the GPU at the moment.)

Very nice.

Do you ever plan to use the M.2?

>No offense, but for some reason your set up gives me anxiety.
Almost all the components being gray and no real cable management options might be the reason. It was not the intent but merely a coincidence. Also the fact that my phone has shitty camera might have been one of the reasons.

Here is a picture I just took. Enhanced the image a little bit so it does not look so shitty. Also installed another fan on the radiator.

The M.2 slot behind the GPU has an 960 EVO in it. It's the warmest of the bunch, but I've never seen it go beyond a bit over 40 °C which is pretty manageable.

Maybe stop jerking yourself off about Ryzen so much
Literally nobody cares

you cared enough to be triggered and post in this thread.

Best case.

pic related > its my current build in the enthoo evolve.

It holds 2 SSDs in the back as well as 2 HDDs in front of the PSU.

There is room for another SSD in the front and up to 5 more HDD slots on the right of the mobo.

I love this computer but it needs some work. My overclocks are ridiculous, 980ti @1550, [email protected], and they're both water cooled yet running at 55c now that it's warm out and I don't have AC.
Probably going to 1440p 144hz or just a 4k 60hz and keeping my 1080p 144hz which is going to necessitate a GPU upgrade.
Anyway I like this
build the most, you can tell he's a true pipe hitting nigga that uses his computer 16 hours a day like a normal person and not as just a game console.

>tell someone to stop always talking about Ryzen like it's something special
>lol u cared cause you responded lol triggered

...

Ah gotcha. Well if there aren't any cooling issues I guess it's just seeing these ATX builds that keep me thinking everything is always tucked away.

Waiting for weather to not be shit for a good pic of the new cards
After 5 years a hard drive is finally starting to fail, not corrupting or anything just making a horrid noise.

Sneak peek I guess of whats going on, just trying to fix cable arrangement

This is getting like /o/ I'm starting to recognize the same two-three dozen or so users that actually have a desktop. but the threads are full of
1800x, 7700k, 1080ti, fury x owners if not some HEDT moster. Even taking disinterest into account, the majority has to be younger tablet/phone/webbook posters without the means to actually fund a high end pc.

curious as to why 980ti to 1080

Free upgrade from EVGA when I RMAd one of my 980tis
