White background websites are more energy consuming and most importantly more tiring to look at.

Technically good designed web page woill not set bg, fg or font, but will use default style.
Blame the shitty web designers.

>White background websites are more energy consuming
lolno.

>and most importantly more tiring to look at.
kys for having shit eyes.

calm down mateo

>constructive reply

black backgrounds come of seedy because it's mostly used by porn sites.

Normal people don't know what's the background of a porn site is because they don't go there.

Normal people go to tons of porn sites.

They just do it on their phones now

unless you have amoled, white backgrounds don't at all consume more energy, as the bright light in the form of LED or CCFL shines anyway.

I find white text on black background much more eye-tiring. I'm sure I'm not the only one.

readability and visibility in general is better with fff bg and 000 fg
also people use different brightness on their displays

And a lot of phones have AMOLED

>most importantly more tiring to look at.

White on black is fucking retina-burning.

You have shit eyes, sorry.
>Using Yotsuba
>Not using Tomorrow style on all Sup Forums boards.

It's even worst when the text is in an edgy color like #FF0000

You're just not used to it yet and vecause a lot of web design and design in general has zero focus on high contrast.

There's a good reason why shit filters like flux are so popular. It's because screens will burn your eyes out.

For any prolonged use, black backgrounds with white text is superior.

>and most importantly more tiring to look at.
No.
Dark text on light background is much more comfortable (not necessarily black on white though, some form of beige and black)

dark grey background master race

Black screens require more electricity than white with LCD displays.

it's more natural

It's a well known fact since the 90s that all web designers are in collusion with the power companies to raise your electric bills and wear your devices out faster. Fact!

Probably because of paper and ink

funnyjunk fag

i was actually talking about the Tomorrow theme from this website right here.

I use Tomorrow, but OP's pic is a fucking overkill

That's bullshit and you know it

Grey or other dark colour maybe, but certainly not pure black

Web "designers" aping each other because they're lazy, unthinking fuckwits who will never know what an original idea is.

>Using your eyes during the day when it's bright is bad for your eyes
>Use your eyes only at night in the dark

Fuck off Mateo

>most importantly more tiring to look at.

Actually its perfectly opposite. White text on dark background is very tiresome for eyes, as opposed of dark text over white background.

>White background websites are more energy consuming
Only for CRTs......

white screen:
>backlight LEDs at 100% brightness
>all subpixels turned on

black screen:
>backlight LEDs at 100% brightness
>all subpixels turned off

>The light from your computer screen is the same as the light from the sun.

White on black is shit

White on dark grey is ideal

My eyes got used to seeing white background (or bluish) in the dark.

Is my eye fucked? I'm already nearsighted though.

Why so many people prefer Tomorrow theme on Sup Forums then?

A lot of website now use a much lighter gray instead of pure white, u dont really notice it until u have both colors to conpared

this
pure white is eye burning, light grey is perfect

No idea why they want to hurt their eyes, but at the other hand, I didnt notice its popularity outside Sup Forums (where I would link it with popularity of terminals that are often "white on black").
