Shit, what do?

bumping this question

my drivers don't have partitions, got one ssd for OS and some programs, one hdd where I keep all my shit and a backup external hdd

with that worm does only the OS driver get affected, because I could easily reinstall everything

what about the internal hdd? here I have some programs but mainly files which I don't ahve them saved anywhere else other than the external hdd

and what about the external hdd, can it get affected, can it infect any pc I connect it to?

if you don't want to SPOONFEED, just give me a link where I could read about this

anything mounted to an infected system gets encrypred, including external drives and network drives, if not mounted in readonly mode, although the worm can do privilege escalation, not sure.

Apple MacBook Pro doesn't have this problem

Yeah, but it's expensiv af :(

Linux doesn't have this problem, and if worried you can boot into Linux when you aren't behind your own router then boot into Winshit when you are. Nice use for multiboot or a Linux USB flash drive and a live distro.

It's autspergic to only use one OS when it costs nothing to have more than one.

It won't work because public WiFi has AP isolation turned on, you can't communicate with others at all

This

If this isn't bait, your data is gone. What said won't work. Decryption requests are sent to a Tor site. There has to be a human there to approve the decryption requests, and the site has been knocked out because so many people paid.

Seriously, it's time to just install Gentoo or something.

ROOTPIPE

That's not how it works. Don't talk about things you don't understand because it just makes you look dumb.

Reformat, restore from backup. If no backup, this would be an excellent time to try Linux for a couple of months till all this blows over. Ubuntu MATE or Mint MATE is best for noobs.
