What happens when you patch a game so that Nvidia is forced to render the entire scene as intended?

What?
Some shadows were broken/not rendering. Patch fixed it. FPS tanked. Nvidia am cry.
So this patch was only for nvidia drivers or was it for the game?
It was for the game. Don't think Nvidia patched their drivers.
So, is there a video for radeon cards, so that we can compare?
Pretty much within the margin of error
>ryzen 1800x
okay...
Not a fair comparison. Of course radeons perform better on amd cpus
here is one for RX 580 vs 1060 (different settings from OP).

7700k still shows a massive drop in performance

Only because Nvidia hasn't fixed their fucking drivers
the fuck
why is the Avg and 0.1% colors swapped around?
I wonder how much Nvidia paid for them not patch this before release.
did the developers fuck up or are they raping nvidias driver gimpworks?
It's from some no-name AMDshilling channel. What else did you expect?
it's an AMD title
>Prey
you mean that game literally no one cares about that they didn't even bother to advertise based on a much better game that has been pulled from every store and had its sequel cancelled?
so what changed? 1.02 added reflections i can see from a video, but why only nVidia frame drop?
Was there a bug for them?
Don't upgrade Nvidia users! This patch was pushed by AMD employees working on the game to gimp Nvidia performance! Wait for the real patch by proper employees.
this makes me sad.. the original prey was so good
>amd gpu does better with intel gpu than with amd cpu
>amdrones still think intel is gimping their shit
>Shit game gets cancelled
Who cares?
Bethesda don't cancel shit they own for nothing...
After the patch the Ryzen is slightly faster by a few FPS, more attributed to the .1 and 1% figures
1 fps is easily attributed to margin of error. You're going to get that difference between two runs on the exact same system.
>1% is still better than avg of AMD's best card
So this is what AMD fans count as a win nowadays, huh
if you did even the most basic wikipedia research you'd know that it was management fuckwits having a proxy war with other management fuckwits, not actual issues with the game
