Why the fuck? Like, I can barely see the difference between FHD and QHD on my galaxy. I guess for the memes you could use QHD because if you look really carefully from up close, you might just possibly see the pixels when using "only" FHD.

But UHD? There's literally no possible way to see the difference, it just takes up a shitton more battery for no reason.

As a pixel owner with one of those daydream headsets, I think the extreme density would be pretty cool for VR purposes. Really my only complaint with the setup right now is the somewhat apparent pixelation.

Oh yeah, I guess for VR it's nice.

Ironically my only complaint about "conventional" VR like the Vive is the resolution, and in this sense phone-based VR would actually be better if you use a 4k phone like that. Personally I'm still going to wait a couple years for a QHD/UHD vive.

xz compact when?

All of my this

this.
although 1080x1920 is also fine, but is the pont where diminishing returns make a spike

It's for VR

Still, XZ premium has kinda same battery life as S8

>what is VR
Granted current phone SoCs are trash for it but at least in 4K VR won't look like shit.

Too bad it's IPS eye cancer.

That's not impressive

Infinite meme display has the same battery life as 4K screen that can play 4k content and ideal for VR
how is that not impressive?

>zigzagged pixels
The fuck?

xz is already pretty compact, compared to gzip and bzip2.

>Description says it's RGB
>Pixel zoom shows it's actually BGR
What did they mean by this?

I'm not a virgin faggot so I don't give a shit about VR, but I really don't know where the DPI count should end for using the phone as it is. High quality printed work can be 2500 DPI and above, but it needs to be that high for other reasons. A screen is different.

DPI =/= PPI

It's right there in the name. Xperia XZ(igzag).

Yeah, but fucking why?

could be used for 48bit color?

can it play 10-bit anime meme
