>quad channel memory
>two ram sockets
runs minecraft like a dream
Very jelly here, such a nice rig.
Personally i'd change out those fans for some nice noctuas, but the colour could be a real breaker for some
Is that narrow ilm mount a standard thing for that corsair cooler?
>seagate hdd
>not even using the ultra m.2
>that airflow design
>Corsair psu
WOW STOP BUILDING ANY TIME
god the usb 3.0 header isn't even populated
what the fuck is wrong with you OP?
ABANDON THREAD
Look closer. One of them isn't populated.
...
Literally the only problems with seagate drives were the 3tb ones
Calm down you autistic memester
Corsair power supply is dangerous though OP might wanna not do that
what's the matter with corsair PSU? I've had mine for 8 (EIGHT) years, and it's great desu
I also don't get it, Seagate HDDs are just fine.
His PSU might be a bit overkill.
MOM I NEED THE BIG CASE!!!
>CPU: C2Q Q6600
>GPU: GTX 560 Ti (I did order a gts 450 before but because the seller fucked up he decided to give me this instead as an apology)
>RAM: 4GB DDR2
>PSU: Corsair VS550
>HDD: 320GB Hitachi
>Motherboard: Asus P5B-MX
and that system is for my parent to use... and the GPU is load as fuck...
I'm a little over halfway done with my final rig. I got an RX 1600X and a GTX 670 bur I'm probably going to replace it with the lowest Vega card when it comes out if it performs near or above a GTX 1070. Then I'm getting white braided power cables and two black Noctua fans to replace the default ones.
I'm probably going to water cool my next rig and I hate LEDs.
Bad surge protection
That's it
Are they using it to game? I have the same GPU and its one of the best 560 Tis. My PSU is loud as fuck.
6600k @4.2Ghz
2x 16GB (32G) Gskill DDR4-3200
256GB Nvme
GTX 960 4GB GDDR5
i dont think so, just did it for a bit of fun. although i found out the GPU could be faulty, there are lines everywhere. i only just put in the GPU and PSU today
not even an OK picture, but you can kinda see it
Then bake it. I had the same problem, 130° for 30 minutes, didn't have any problem since then.
forgot picture

nice but so empty inside
Time to retire that optical drive
nice cable management
Is the silent PC thing a meme? The last few sets of fans I had made no noise other than 'air moving' noise which I feel like cannot be avoided.
...
Kind of? I'd say silent fans are but silence optimized cases, if done well, aren't. You can't really escape the sound of moving air but to me bigger fans do it quieter.
thoguhts?
>Time to retire that optical drive
yeah, it's only there because i dont have a front panel to replace it
first time i've seen anyone with a ft05 on Sup Forums.
out of all the cases I've owned, it's been my favorite so far! That isn't to say it doesn't have its own drawbacks.
>falling for that
please, leave
>falling for that
Nothing to fall for user, those were the only drives that had failure issues. Single terabyte baracudas are incredibly reliable, have had the ones in my machine for 5 years
was the noise insulation foam on your case also poorly cut out? on my right panel it didn't even fully cover the glue. also, do you know if the side mirror strips have a protective film? i know the front does, but the sides have some scratches/smudges and it doesn't look like there's a film.
the case is definitely nice, but considering the MSRP is almost 200 dollars the QC is disappointing.
No I didn't have any problems with the foam and how it was cut and my side mirror strips did have a film, something that took me a while to notice haha. It is expensive which is why I did some shopping around I managed to find mine for about $140.
Update: I removed that GPU and replaced it with a gt 710 and that one worked properly, and it's 2GB not 4GB of RAM.
I am thinking of ridding myself of this poo stain and going back to a Rampage 3 Extreme setup..
What's the smallest ATX case I can get that has 2x 5.25" bays?
InWin A500 maybe. Had 3 bays, but it is still pretty compact since the PSU sits over the CPU. Need to use a low profile CPU cooler in this case. Room for 120mm intake in the front.
>2.75 volts
...
I know you're liquid cooling and all but are you sure your CPU is ok there?
I need something I can get ahold of now tho, not 15 years ago :P
I'll have a look around if I decide to ditch the amd.
If you're referring to the voltage, its just reporting wrong.. its around 1.3v.
Waiting for Vega edition. At this point I don't even care if the new Vega shit beats the 1080ti. I just want an AMD card that can beat my 980ti so I can actually upgrade (vs downgrade to an rx580) and take advantage of freesync. I only went Nvidia because of shadowplay and now I hear AMD has relive, literally their clone of shadowplay.
All red PC when?
define c?
How many case fans do you have?
acoustic baffles instead of flat foam pads when
What CPU coolers you guys using?
Fucking cheap hp's psus and desktop mobos. Very nice pc tho i still have it
Its a Cyroig H7 its working fantastic right now only paid like 35 dollars free two day shipping.
cut the water tubes between your CPU and the radiator so they're as smoothly bending as possible. Limit the amount of resistance the water will have flowing through them, they're too long for the space you're using. The more twists and turns, and the harder those twists and turns are, the worse your watercooling performance will be and the sooner your pump is going to die on you.
Never ever do 90 degree turns with your piping in a watercooling system.
Thermaltake frio silent 14 except I swapped the stock fan with a cooler Master silencio 120mm.
Cooler only costs $5 more than the hyper 212 Evo, performs better, and doesn't block the ram slots. Thankfully didn't even need an am4 mounting bracket either because the Asus ROG x370 comes with am3 mounting holes. Keeps my 1700X under 63C under full tilt encoding load for days on end.
Where's the bottom PCI slot bracket? #triggered
Any advice for an air or water cooler comparable to noctua's d-15?
hardmode: something I can actually buy/ship to canada and still less than $130 CAD (what the d15 costs)
For the cyroig alot of the reviews say its much better than a Hyper 212 i wish i could test it but i can't oc my cpu couldn't afford the processor i really wanted.

As you can see in Use it in push/pull and it will serve you well
Also , DirectCanada offer free shipping on order over 50$
God damnit user why did you make me remember that? Now I'm going to go home and search for that bracket. Again. I originally had a 4 port SATA 3 card there before I built my server. When I built it, I moved all my high capacity drives and the card over. Never put the cover back. It just up and walked away
Hey Pal, how do you route the VGA cables so well? I have a G2 and it looks like your card is 1x8 and 1x6, but mine is 2x8pin and I'm not sure what to do with the leftover 6pins on each of the 2 VGA cables.
Thanks, and it's just a generic Asetek one off of ebay that works with the cooler
>seagate hdd
And another 1.5tb in the back :^)
>not even using the ultra m.2
That's expensive.
>that airflow design
Two pulling from and front and one from the bottom, one exhausting from the back and two from the top, what's so bad about that?
>Corsair psu
When will this meme die
>god the usb 3.0 header isn't even populated
The cable was so rigid that it pulled out and broke a pin
Gonna wait a little bit longer to get Ryzen on this PC
Not in the position to have to change motherboard, RAM, cooler, and CPU right now. Not to mention not all the kinks have been worked out yet, for some reason there is still an issue with Ryzen and SLI performance.
I'll keep monitoring my work PCs improvements to see when it's the right time
>using seagate unironically
>129$ is expensive
>fans for the sake of having fans
>I actually broke my mobo while building
Like I said
STOP
fuck off underage lmao
not even that user
Literally nothing wrong with seagate drives
Spending $129 for something you don't need is expensive
His airflow is perfectly fine
Breaking USB 3.0 headers due to cables is incredibly common and you would know that if you've ever actually built more than two PCs, those plugs are almost as cancerous as molex
If your Corsair PSU is that old then it's fine since it should be based on a sea sonic design. However, after their PSUs got popular they switched to a cheaper design without telling anyone. It's similar to how Razer switched to using cheaper chinese mechanical switches instead of cherry MX switches without telling anyone.
The fuck am I looking at here?
Wut Case is this?
what PSU brand would you suggest?
that's the gpu cooling he made using a corsair cpu AIO water cooling.
Seasonic. Hands down.
...
...
who /waiting for vega/ here?
also: should I buy into the AIO meme? My big black aircooler kind of blocks the entire window side panel on my computer case. Yes, it will probably be just a cosmetic upgrade but I can hand the Dark Rock Pro 3 cooler down to my HTPC so it's not entirely wasted money. I'm kind of worried by water leaks though.
Yes/No?
Just buy a new computer case without a side panel and the problem is solved, faggot.
You do understand that their +Gold PSU is still great right? Heck their SIlver and Bronze are still good, its their non-rated one that are chink made shit. The Gold ones are completely made in Japan btw, which is more than I can say about any other brand.
>You do understand that their +Gold PSU is still great right?
They are good but overpriced. There are plenty of other Gold and Platinum rated PSus that are equal in quality while being a better deal or straight up superior.
>The Gold ones are completely made in Japan btw, which is more than I can say about any other brand.
Completely wrong to the point where you are starting to sound like an actual shill.
>seagate hdd
:^)
...
Yeah even though I like the design I went to go see it in person at a shop and was surprised at how badly it's built. The top panel is all low quality plastic for example and that foam on the bottom intake was completely full of dust which would be hard to clean.
