Let's see the fags who can't manage the bloat in their systems

screenfetch code is a fucking mess

is this where the circle jerk starts?

Absolutely

I actually do stuff with my PC though, I know thats frowned upon here

Packages: 2842
I am not win this.

>KDE
wtf is your problem?

if you don't have every TeX package installed then i don't trust you

Just ran apt autoremove now I'm down to a slim
Packages: 2816
¯\_(ツ)_/¯

more packages does not mean you have bloat if you use all the software you've installed
t. fellow archfag with 930
can't post screenfetch coz not at home

daily reminder that arch consolidates several things into one binary when other distros don't, so a package in arch could be considered by another distribution to be two, maybe three, packages.

>KDE
I'm not a ramlet and it looks nice + heaps of customisation

unfriendly reminder that you are all faggots

2300 and I only have the bare necessities I use every day. Get a job and stop staring at your fetches, losers.

...

Yeah Kodi is a good 6 packages here in Debian world.
kodi
kodi-bin
kodi-audiodecoder-fluidsynth
kodi-audiodecoder-sidplay
kodi-pvr-hts

I have relatively few. This is a new install though so I expect it to grow

I didn't know I have so many packages

Because you installed with Antergos

>77
And you are his prophet, praise kek.

Install gentoo

Nigger I don't want to spend 10 hours compiling shit for exactly the same result

yeah... next install will be with arch-anywhere... i use arch since 2007 but last installs i didn't have the time to install normally

pacman -Qq|wc -l
544

Are you mad packaglets

should have been just
>lesbian

fucking bloatfags

Oiii nyt haisoo autismi hoii

...

I actually use my system unlike you weebs.

ITT: people who don't know that different distributions package their software differently

Packages: 2370
Not bad.

All that's necessary for work

use pacgraph to find bloat

>work
>bsd
go on

always end up at ~2k packages after a few months of use

...

>he doesn't use 4.10
>gentoo

>he gives a shit what others use

I could trim a bit

Time to reinstall

Maybe clean those orphaned (no source) packages.

I don't understand how you can use something for several years as your only operating system and not have at least this many packages.

Before I installed Arch I had a 2 years old Ubuntu install where I switched between DE without properly cleaning and had like 1200+ packages.
That was with build-essential, emacs and a lot of other shit

It's just a home server though, not my main machine.

Use Arch, do this:

echo $(pacman -Qe | wc -l)/$(pacman -Q | wc -l) #explicitly installed packages / total packages

in my case:

303/1295

I usually uninstall packages I don't use often and also remove their dependencies as well.

$ pacman -Qq | wc -l
1310
$ pacman -Qme | wc -l
82
$ head -n 1 /var/log/pacman.log | grep -Eo "[0-9]{4}-[0-9]{2}-[0-9]{2}"

>using arch when superior gentoo exists
Top fucking kek matei

>he took 10 hours to compile his web browser just so he could respond to this thread

15/20 minutes tops, that's how much firefox takes to compile.
While doing so I also enabled Alsa support.
Can you do that on arch? Does it takes less time than it took me? I don't think so.

in less than 40 minutes I had my entire Arch installation set up, with a DE of my choice and all of the software I'll ever need. I'm sure your setup took you days to get it complete.

You are also getting all that poetteringware malware and no customization at all.
At that point you could very well install Fedora/*buntu and call it a day.

what a load of shit
if you can't handle 2k packages then you need to stop being poor
fucking retarded teenage meme os faggots

2632 packages
is this too much? I do all sorts of programming though, including some graphics design

well maybe it's because your pc's are shit and you guys can't install a thing

gentoofetch best fetch

>gentoofetch
Didn't know this existed, ty user

What are you? A corelet?

Suck it, bloatfags.

$ dpkg --get-selections | wc -l

Gentoo contains whole toolchain, not bad.

gentoofetch /thread

Can somebody say how to get alsaequal up and running on gentoo? I have this issue:
forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-p-7915658.html

Hello there ramlets

Only poorfags care about package count.
Only retards think more packages slows down your rig.
So, which is it OP?

...

There is no software for Void, so you're bound to have a low package count

wew that's a big package

for you

Imagine installing that in Gentoo

got a sauce on the lesbians?

It's proprietary and closed source, sadly.

That's a lot of packages, but I'm a lazy fuck so I don't care.

I don't get people who like free software but want to use as few packages as possible.
Makes no sense.
