I hated 5", coming 4.2". But after getting a 5.5" I am literally never gonna downsize again. Are 6" phones even better?
I have a 6.44in 128gb Xiaomi Mi Max and love it user, with this screen size you can essentially touch type with both thumbs incredibly quickly and accurately and everything is comfy, just don't expect to carry it in a pocket easily.
Battery life and performance are also amazing, camera is average but is guud in decent lighting, selfie camera has a wide angle.
For me 5.5" is probably the biggest size I'd go for. Still fits in my trouser pockets (barely) and is just and just useable one handed.
I love the mi mix but is too big for me, and considering the mi mix 2 will be the same size or even bigger and probably without audio jack I am looking at other chink alternatives like the doogee mix:

I have 2 doogee phones and they're both basically AOSP with double tap to wake type additions tacked on top. Not nearly as nice as a Xiaomi but for cheap mix that phone might be badass.
You have to remember with less bezel the size of screen is higher ratio. That 5.5in doogee phone will hold like a 5in phone in hand
These screen outlines are ugly as hell. Would not buy.
