>ereader with a few gigabytes of memory will claim to hold "thousands of books"
>doesn't account for the fact that any books containing images will have a file size equivalent to hundreds of text only books
Seriously, e-readers with actual non shit storage capabilities WHEN?
Ereader with a few gigabytes of memory will claim to hold "thousands of books"
Images? Why would you care about images? You're not a manchild who can't concentrate on text for long periods of time, are you?
just get a kobo
Have you ever read a textbook, user? They usually have images in them. There are other types of books beyond novels.
>top of the range model has 8gb of storage
wow it's fucking nothing
what is this 2010?
What the fuck are you reading?
probab;y manga baka
My kobo has a microSD slot.
Mainly science textbooks, and also PDFs from lecture handouts. All of my actual for fun reading I just do with physical books.
The current lineup don't, what model is yours and what is the max storage?
but how else would I enjoy engineering humor in my textbooks?
>There are other types of books beyond novels.
Yes.
Like pic related. It is one of the best books I've ever read and contains no images. (Though I haven't read infinite jest yet)
eReader screens are much too small for textbooks though
You know that you can adjust font size, right?
why are ereaders so shit?
Every textbook I've ever had has been a PDF not an ebook file
Well they're great for reading books, not for much else though
>textbooks aren't books
>cookbooks aren't books
>comics/manga aren't books
>visual novels aren't books
>Every textbook I've ever had has been a PDF not an ebook file
I dont care, retard
who gives a fuck, they could have said it can hold 100 books, no one reads 100 books, they might aswell say it hold 1 billion books.
you do realize this has nothing to do with what he said and you're just spergdouching all over the place right?
Some military fiction and non-fiction map out engagement areas for context.
>no one reads 100 books
Really, user?
yes :D
visual novels aren't books, no
"a written or printed work consisting of pages glued or sewn together along one side and bound in covers."
exactly
a visual novel is a computer program, it can't be printed and bound
...
don't confuse "visual novel" with "picture book"
So a comic, right?
>eReader screens are much too small for textbooks though
Fucking this. Ten years after the ereader mass production started, there are no A4 screens, besides a +$1000 discontinued Sony model.
I have a 64GB mSD card in my Kobo Aura HD, along with Koreader so I can force zoom across pages in a pdf and use a file browser
You guys are fucking nerds.
I have a Kobo Glow. Dunno the microSD card limit but I have a 16GB in it.
Just as well too, the onboard storage is borked. If you factory reset the device you can access the onboard storage once, any further attempts when you plug it into a computer gives you a drive corrupted/must format message.
So I wouldn't really recommend Kobo, but it seems strange to me that they killed the microSD slot.
Are you confusing Light Novels with Visual Novels, are you fucking retarded?
images?
what do you read? Books for kids?
>mp3 player with a few gigabytes of memory will claim to hold "hours of music"
>doesn't account for the fact that any lossless files will have a file size equivalent to hundreds of mp3 songs
