If I am connected to a VPN on Linux and use nmap, will it go through the VPN?

If i live on a 3rd shit world country what kind of information the companies and other government collects?

and I suppose there's no way to turn it off?

12 netsvcs services are still running, checking them now

>If i live on a 3rd shit world country what kind of information the companies and other government collects?
all of it

>and I suppose there's no way to turn it off?
In home no.

Pro, enterprise?
Yes.

I think you've got the wrong board buddy

I guess I'll just link mine from the last thread.

I just upgraded phones, so now I have a spare Nexus 5. I want to use it as a handheld emulator using RetroArch. What hardware can I use to clip the phone to an X360 controller? I've seen dualshock clips but I'm not a fan of that controller. If one doesn't exist, how realistic would it be to make one?

Yeah.

Sup Forums

Where might one find a certain group by the name of Anonymous.

Try Sup Forums

are there BGA-specific chips? or can I fit regular (PGA) processors in BGA boards?

I'm talking about Core2Duos for reference.

Posted in the old thread, but can I root a Note 5, I've found contradictory info online, so I'm not really sure what to think.

>>>/xda/

if the other side is same subnet it should

just try it, what's the worst that could happen

Is it possible to, for example, use Intel iGPU to play games and send image to nVidia GPU which sends it to monitor(and vice versa) on GNU/Linux? I'd like to use both my iGPU and GPU. BTW, I'm using proprietary nVidia driver.

What if it's not?

you have exactly zero protection from the US/UK gov. Basically their fear mongering about Russia, China and NK applies to you many times more.

I might've misunderstood you, but BGA means Ball Grid Array and in this context probably means that the CPU is soldered to the motherboard which you won't be able to change without some serious equipment.

Asked about this in previous thread but made a video now, dunno how useful it is.

System has been working fine for the last year, but over the last month its started dying. Having a problem where during games my PC will randomly either just totally shut off, or the screen will go black, I still get audio but I can't do anything other than power it off physically. In OCCT's PSU test, the GPU wont stay at 99% load for some reason, it keeps cutting out, I don't know if this has anything to do with it. I watched some vids of people doing this stress test and their FPS stays rock solid, but mine shits the bed every 5 seconds.

The clicking you can hear is extremely loud and not a noise it used to make, I'm pretty sure its coming from the PSU but I am going to have to remove it from the system to check.

Any ideas what it might be before I rip apart my friends PC for parts to diagnose shit? Thanks.

then it wont... does nmap scans through all the devices on the internet just because your internet is working?

at least thats how I understand it.. I might be wrong

how non free software works?
Like I can't see code or something like that
But how the fuck I can't see that but can install lol how can they are hide it
Is that can't be dissembled?

>win10
>disabled everything mouse-related in the device-manager from being able to wake the pc from sleep mode
>still able to move mouse to wake pc

This is especially annoying because sometimes it turns right back on after putting it to sleep.
I don't wanna turn my mouse upside down, and I couldn't find anything in the uefi-settings.

What do?

I'm aware of that, soldering station and all.

what I mean is, the CPU in my laptop is soldered. I want to upgrade it to a T9900. could I fit one with pins (PGA) or does it have to be a specific BGA model?

is there even a difference?

quick update: diabling Delivery Optimization service did the trick and netsvcs disappeared.
Bandwidth usage is zero now.

google - what is compiling
youtube.com/watch?v=IhC7sdYe-Jg

Any code that can be run on your computer can theoretically be disassembled. There are techniques like virtualization and encryption that can make this more difficult, but generally consumer software isn't going to do this since it will significantly reduce the performance of the software and there's little reason to do it. Making heads or tails of a complicated piece of software that someone already wrote is hard enough when you can see it with all the proper formatting, comments, and variable names in place. None of that information is preserved by the compiler, so it is very difficult to try to interpret code that has all that information stripped out. Additionally, there is sometimes some ambiguity in converting machine code back to assembly, so the person doing the reverse engineering would have to know what function was actually used in such cases, making the job more complex.

And of course when you're talking disassembling you will get assembly in the end, which is most likely not what the project was written in, and the output of some compiler into assembly is likely not going to be all that readable or pretty without a lot of effort.

it is called reverse engineering, hoe do you think cracked software works? Compilation from source -> Machine code /ASM is usually not reversible

My laptop came with a tiny 30gb M2 SSD, which is completely useless to me and my Samsung SSD. Is there anything possibly useful or interesting I could use it for?

lol

I have never been able to find a solution to this other than flipping the mouse

Depending on your mouse it might have another device somewhere. My Logitech G700 has something under keyboards that also has to be disabled to prevent mouse waking, you should probably check there if there are any extra "keyboards" that are actually related to mouse functions. Also make sure the bluetooth receiver (if applicable) is also not allowed to wake the computer.

Will I ever find somebody to love /sqt/? Is there even a chance?

I'm a chubby trap, kinda passing. I'm not disfigured or anything, I guess if I lost weight some might even consider me pretty, or at least decent looking. But it's hard, because, every time I'm reminded of my situation, and the fact that I'm unlovable and nobody will ever want me my anxiety levels rise up to 11, and I start binge eating and there goes my diet again. It's probably an eating disorder, developed around when I was 20, but it's either this or committing sudoku. A lot of times I feel like I'm walking in a metaphorical minefield, avoiding this, not doing such, definitely not thinking about that, just to prevent a frenzy.

Yeah, I guess I'm fucked in the head too. I'm terribly recluse, prone to hiding and avoiding people, even friends. Pretty much ever since I was 15 I dreamt about being in a relationship, finding happiness, a family, hoping one day my luck will change. I keep lying to myself that next year will be better, maybe then things will improve, there's no need for suicide just yet, but so far it's been a steady downhill. Thought I hit rock bottom a couple of times, but nope, I find that there's always somewhere lower to sink to.
And there's a lot of feminist propaganda how you don't need a man to be content and all that, but y'know what, fuck that. I lived it for 10 years and it's absolute shit, don't believe it for a moment. It's something salty hypocrite folk tell themselves to feel better about their lives. I could live alone but I don't want to, and never wished to, but it's reality.
Life is garbage. Mine at least. Sorry for ranting.

Everything points to the PSU
try different one, nothing can be done until you test it with different PSU
and see if all other issues go away

I mean this is like equivalent of opening car motor and seeing leaking duct and wondering if you should maybe replace it.

put into another machine, install a super secure distro for your loli collection.
Experiment with bsd, zfs
use it as backup

I found at least one article stating that you can just desolder the pins from a PGA478 CPU and turn it into a BGA479 here: geek-mag.com/posts/184876/. Don't know how you would handle with those SMDs on the bottom of the CPU when soldering it into place though.

I probably wouldn't even bother trying this if you have to ask a question like that, but still, good luck with the project!

Sure, anybody can. It's easier than you think, only issue is you have to actively be looking, and keep your standards and expectations reasonable. Don't expect something to just sort of drop into your lap if you're not even putting any effort into looking for it.

As far as the weight thing, it's a handicap, but I wouldn't consider it a deal breaker. There are a lot of people out there and some will be more or less tolerant of it than others. I easily weighed over 350 pounds when I got into my first serious relationship. Dieting can be hard but main recommendation I can give is to make it a routine, and set it up so you don't have to think about food any more than you need to. When I seriously got into weight loss I made sure to set up all my meals the night before, so I could just grab them without thinking when the time came, and since everything was premade ahead of time it was easy to keep portions under control and make sure everything was balanced nutrition-wise. It's hard to commit yourself and take the first step but if you can make it something automatic and easy then it'll come off before you know it.

Main thing though is that you should stop sitting around waiting for your luck to change, and start taking steps to change the aspects of your life that you don't like, one step at a time. Nothing is going to get better if you just sit around waiting for it to. I think if you're actively feeling like you're making progress though, you'll feel a lot better about your situation in general, even if you've still got a ways to go. Just the fact that you're moving in the right direction goes a long way towards helping that feeling of anxiety and dread all the time.

is assembler "final" language that could be? like the next stage is 01010101 for processor or what?

Assembly is basically one level removed from the binary machine code that is interpreted directly by the processor. For the most part one line of assembly can be directly converted into one line of machine code (disregarding some meta commands), unlike higher level languages where a lot of translation and manipulation has to happen first.

Check your BIOS wake-up settings and disable everything USB related

incidentally I do have a G700, however all devices I can find under keyboards are called 'HID-keyboard', and none but one have any connection to logitech stuff, and that one doesn't have the wake-from-sleep-settings.

I actually do want my keyboard (a steelseries) to be ble to wake the PC from sleep..

Well what I did was just disabled them all and then re-enabled one at a time until my actual keyboard was the one that was capable of waking my computer. I mean I don't really often wake my computer from anything besides my keyboard, unless you count wake-on-lan.

Is it bad to put my computer to sleep every night rather than turning it off fully?

my man, that did it.
I disabled all of them and it stopped, and the first one i re-enabled seemed to be my actual kb, so fuck everything else.
thanks!

no

Not a question, just a good feel that I wanted to share
>go to porn site
>porn site has this obnoxious anti-adblock thing that blocks me for not disabling my adblock and getting a gorrillion ads and popups (WITH SOUND) slapped in my face
>decide to not bow to this bullshit
>spend half an hour wrenching anti-anti-adblock shit into my browser
>coding or programming experience = zero
>finally manage it after lots of trial and error
>mfw

I DID IT
I DIDN'T EVEN ASK ANYWHERE HOW TO DO IT
YES

On ubuntu here, how do I see recently DOWNLOADED files? I have firefox browser set to "Choose where to download", then I downloaded a file off the internet and it finished..........and that's it. Nothing popped up, checked /Downloads and /Desktop but nothing, even with hidden files on and accessing as root.

Downloaded again, checked disk drive space and yup, it downloaded alright, but fuck knows where, any command to show them? Obviously I haven't accessed the files so "Recent Files" doesn't show.

There is a script and ublock origin and thats all you need

Yeah, that's what I ended up using, but figuring it out without asking is still cool

>ublock origin
>settings > I am an advanced user
>disable inline scripts on the current page
this works 50/50

link or name?

Take a guess, its very apparent what its named

Can the 360 controller do bluetooth?
wireless connection would be most realistic imo.

I bought a type C to HDMI for my HTC10, but I didn't get the converter, I just got the cable. When I plug it into an output device it doesn't mirror my phone, it just stays on "No input" and doesn't recognize the phone. Anyone have any solutions? I was hoping I didn't need to buy the converter box, and the cable would just direct connect, but I can't for the life of me get it to work. Any tips or help would be appreciated.

What career has a better outlook? Front end development or data analyst? Assuming pay is the same in the beginning.

I asked this in the webdev general but the consensus seems to be somewhat split.

pfsense firewall, or general firewalls

there are firewall rules
they apply to interface
tutorials say they apply only on incoming traffic

and it seems to work with default setting where LAN is allowed traffic
and WAN is blocked, so from WAN you cant do shit

but got me thinking, I do ping command
if theres no rule on WAN to allow traffic in how come the reply comes?

Or same for a webpage, data are obviously allowed in
so logical thing to assume is that if its reply for request its allowed or some shit like that, when its established connection
but isnt that bit of a weakness, a hole?
Like you dont have full control over the interface if stuff can get in williy-nilly when request through LAN goes in

>tutorials say they apply only on incoming traffic
You have clearly never touched any firewall software.

Please discard what you think you know and look up how to actually setup a firewall.
A good starter is the simple statefull firewall on the arch wiki

fuck off being useless fuck elsewhere
you cant say useful shit dont bother...
but its when you try to explain stuff you realize you knowledge is shit

can I hook up a m2, pcie or msata ssd to my desktop?

the motherboard doesn't have those ports.

Is there any adapter?

I've got a m2 ssd and a msata ssd from my laptops but I wonder if they would work on the pc.

Would there be any speed problems?

I am being usefull.
From your post you dont know shit about firewalls(DEY ONY WURK ON INCUMMING TWAFFIC)
Start over from scratch if you actually want to learn anything

Do black chicks like the white cock?

Ugggggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhh it's so much hassle though.

I tested it with another graphics card and it does the same thing, works fine for like 15 seconds then starts shitting itself and clicking.

you dont seem to know shit either
so get fucking lost retard

>Firewall rules control what traffic is allowed to enter an interface on the firewall. Once traffic is passed on the interface it enters an entry in the state table is created. A state table entry allows through subsequent packets that are part of that connection.

doc.pfsense.org/index.php/Firewall_Rule_Basics

Every 3-4 hours a window pops up in a split second and closes
what the fuck
cant read or see what it says

quoted the wrong part:
>Firewall rules on Interface and Group tabs process traffic in the Inbound direction and are processed from the top down, stopping at the first match.

INBOUND

what sort of products/software can i acquire in order to seem like some sort of computer geek to normies?

my thoughts are thinkpad + linux

does it take long to learn how to use linux?

any further suggestions?

Is it possible to share Wifi with my desktop using my Android phone?

NOT using data, but just sharing the wifi connection

use it as one big pagefile and destroy it with r/w

You'd find my love if you lost weight and have a foreskin and good hygiene.

If your phone supports it.Its normally locked down by your carrier,or you need root

Oops, your files have been encrypted!

>sigh
>how many years is it going to take for this to die

My phone has a "Mobile Hotspot" option with USB tethering, but I don't want to use data.
My laptop just shit the bed, and I used that to connect my desktop to Wifi to get around paying for an adapter. Was hoping I could use my phone until I go buy a wifi adapter.

Also, are those little USB wifi adapters as good as the PCI-e ones?

Who are you quoting?

And this one

>Also, are those little USB wifi adapters as good as the PCI-e ones?

If all you're doing is regular web browsing or video streaming, sure. gaming at all? no.

There was an old post (recently archived i think 9 or so hours maybe even less) about Japanese technology and that they are no longer the tech giants they used to be
can someone link me to it?

use the archive retard

what's the best software for a linux vm in windows? is it vmware?

I CS:GO sometimes, but my connection has always been shit anyways

So you're one of those fuckers with incredibly inconsistent hitreg, fuck you!

>Also, are those little USB wifi adapters as good as the PCI-e ones?
No, not at all.

Why do you think a antenna less adapter that is compacted and gets really hot to a point it can throttle will be better than a big one, with one or multiple antennas and a heatsink?

Still they work for simple stuff.
They are $10 tops for USB ones.
And acceptable PCIe ones are $19-30.

Plz link a cheap/decent PCIe one

And is there any way to get data off of a hard drive in a busted laptop?

>And is there any way to get data off of a hard drive in a busted laptop?
Yes, in what way is it busted?

Take the drive out...

Won't turn on, and I can't tell if it's the charging cable or the PC itself. I plugged it in after being gone for 2 weeks, and the battery light lit up for a second, then turned off, and now I can't get any power to it.
Kk thought I wouldn't be able to access the files if I put it in a different computer

>Kk thought I wouldn't be able to access the files if I put it in a different computer
Well kinda, there is the whole ownership thing with user folders in windows but you will be able to access them.

So I put a new PSU in it, and it still does the same thing in OCCT; works for 20 seconds, then the framerate dies. I haven't been able to get it to crash or lock up yet with the new PSU though, so I guess that's the next task.

I don't think it is a software/OS thing, because it does it on Windows, and yesterday I was running CSGO on Linux and it was locking up in that too occasionally.

The most infuriating this is that it's intermittent. Some days it works just fine, some days I literally can't run a game for more than 5 seconds before it shuts down.

Anyone think what else it might be? Maybe I'm putting too much thought into the OCCT test thing. Can someone run it and see if they get the same pattern I get? High initial FPS, sudden dip, it recovers to 80%-ish of what it was initially but is wildly inconsistent. then.

So is it as simple as plugging in via SATA to my desktop?
All I need to do is pop the files on an external HD

>smelly whore.jpg
>anzu
>anzu
>...
K BAI IM DONE HELPING YOU

>calling Anzu a smelly whore
reeeeeeeeeee

Getting the SSD to work? yes.
You need both SATA data(small one) and the Power cable (Big flat one that comes from the PSU).

>Copy files
With Linux, yes.
With Windows you might have problems with the user folders.

Unless your router is really far this will work just fine.

should i just make an init job for ntfsfix when dualbooting or is it deteriatory for the hard drives

What determines which seeds and peers i connect to? this torrent shows 230 seeds available but im only connected to 30. what allows 30 connections vs 200 vs 10

ntfsfix is NOT an fsck tool, it's only for working around some problems
if you find yourself running it often, something else is the problem
