Threadripper has to be massive.

for you

4094 pins.

was getting dub dubs a PART of your plan?

threadripper overclocked to 4.1GHz when?

Good. Lagre contact area means better heat transfer. We've been stuck with the tiny die meme for far too long.

It must be really good at dissipating heat, seeing that threadripper has 2 8 core dies and naples has 4

prediction:
having 4 separate dies spaced out on one card is going to result in significant temperature discepancies between each die, due to the die heights each being different by a few microns.

Doesn't matter, solder will fill that gap.

4u

When are they going to announce prices and clocks? I want the 32 core single socket version if clocks and price are reasonable.

>I want the 32 core single socket version if clocks and price are reasonable.
You'll never get one as long as 7+1 exists.

32 core single and dual socket only on server motherboards user, x399 is only 16c/32t max

Why don't they just make the cpu atoms colder before they make cpu

They showed an E-ATX server board, who needs a stupid gaming motherboard when you have 8 channel ram and 128 pcie lanes?

yes i know

So AMD is crashing the CPU market and they expect Intel in the plane?

has intel started the housefire?

Yes, the (house)fire rises.

>That one of the right
Jesus fuck, I can't even make out the gaps between the fins on that one, or is it just a solid fucking block?

They didn't start the fire.
It was always burning.

Could be just a side plate for directing airflow

just come in here and cream your pants niggers

This is one of the heatsinks designed for naples (SP3 socket)

Do they put dicks all over the Naples CPUs for good luck?

Threadripper is a pretty big CPU

Noctua are overpriced memes with Scythe outperforming them at half the fucking price.

>Opteron

That picture is from before any ryzen chip was released so they probably just guessed at the name.

It could still be called Opteron.

It's named EPYC, user.
